“This service is amazing. The medical team comes to your home, pulls into the driveway and treats the patients right inside their mobile radiation therapy vans. It’s so convienent. You don’t have to drive any where. Who knew doctors still make house calls? It’s been great for our family because one of us adult kids would have had to drive mom to a medical center at least once a week for at least three months to get the 15 skin cancer treatments. That would of been a big burden because we all still work. And the radiation treatments were so easy and she had no side effects. Her dermatologist wanted to do Mohs Surgery which would have left a big hole in her face and required plastic surgery afterwards, and often the results dont turn out so well. Fortunately a friend told us about another non-invasive treatment option with Dr. Mark Pomper. Hes a radiation oncologist who instead of cutting the cancer away, he uses radiation therapy to destroy the cancer cells and now mom is considered cured, at least until another lesion pops up and if it does, well definitely use this service again. It’s amazing and insurance pays for this door to door service. We all tell everyone we can about this service. Before we decided to go with Horizon for mom, I asked if I could speak to other patients who used the services and they were happy let me do so.
