I award one star to Dr. Woodruffs office only because his office does, as advertised, accept Capital Health Plan. The promise of insurance coverage is the trap that lures patients in the door. My resulting out-of-pocket costs from his improper care far exceeded any insurance savings. I highly recommend you think twice before seeking help for TMJ problems here.

I just saw Dr. Woodruff for my jaw popping. He did an incredibly thorough exam on me and spent time showing me on charts what was going on in my TMJ. I am very impressed. His office staff was very nice and I didnt wait very long at all.

I have never been treated with such unproffesionalism in my life! I showed up to the apt I made and the receptionist tells me they dont have an apt for me. While disappointed, i made another apt. I come in to that apt and the receptionist tells me she cancelled it because she called me and I didnt confirm! I was livid! If you are struggling with TMJ DISORDERS I HIGHLY SUGGEST RED HILLS ORAL AND FACIAL SURGERY!

I have been very happy with my visits at Dr. Woodruff’s office! His staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Woodruff is very nice and knows TMJ very well. He explained everything. I only needed two visits and only had to pay a copay. My jaw pain is gone and I can open my mouth normally now. I recommend Dr. Woodruff highly!

I saw Dr. Woodruff recently for jaw pain I have been having over the last 6 months and it turns out I grind my teeth at night. The mouthguard and jaw exercises did the trick! No more pain! His staff was great and I never had to wait more than a few minutes. I did have to wait a few weeks to see him because he is very popular. I guess he is the only Dentist with any TMJ training. Best of all, I only had to pay one copay!!

This doctor was literally the worst doctor I’ve had in a long time. He doesn’t give any sort of help and when I went in with TMJ and the one treatment option he gave me wasn’t working he gave up. Do not go there. Find someone else who will use their time well. My god this guy is awful

I have been in treatment with Dr. Woodruff for just over a month. I cannot express how happy I am with the results. I clench my teeth at night and my new nightguard has completely gotten rid of my jaw pain that I have been having for years. His office is great and my insurance pain for everything.

I was referred to Dr. Woodruff when I was 14 years old because I was experiencing severe TMJD. My jaw would lock in place and then pop back, causing pain and disgusting noises in my joint . I had been to a previous TMJD specialist before seeing Dr. Woodruff, his name was Dr. Lee but his practice moved to the Jacksonville area and being in Tallahassee I was unable to continue seeing him for treatment. Dr. Lee had previously performed all the necessary x-rays and exams on me and concluded that the disc in my jaw was not working properly and was not rotating correctly across the ball of my jaw joint. He then performed multiple arthrocentesis on me and other procedures. After Dr. Lee left I was forced to go see a new doctor in hopes of continuing my care. I saw Dr. Woodruff and our first meeting did not go over very well. He was rude to be honest, maybe it was because he was having a bad or something, I do not know and I do not care. He was unprofessional and that was the point. After reviewing my treatment history he then decides that its best to give me a mouth guard to wear at night to prevent me from clenching my teeth. Teeth clenching? If he would have taken the time to review my treatment history he would see that I have a DISC issue. I was outraged but I decided to give the guard a try, this lasted for only two nights however as I could not get use to it while I was sleeping. So a short time later I go back to Woodruff and the man explodes at me while I am sitting in his examination roof saying that I was unwilling to try his treatment because I refused to wear the guard any more than the two nights that I had. Being 14 I was in tears that a doctor, whom I thought I could trust and who I thought cared about his patients, was yelling at me getting in red in the face. My mother who was with me at this appointment was infuriated. We left his office and his practice for good that day. Since then, I have now received PROPER treatment for my dysfunctional DISC from another doctor here in Tallahassee. I would not recommend Dr. Woodruff to anyone, end of story.
