The lady that sits at the front desk is unfriendly. She makes it difficult to visit the dentist because of her bad demeanor. I thought maybe she was having a bad day, but shes unpleasant each time I visit. Brandy was unprofessional and made me feel very uncomfortable. Dr. Close is a good Dentist. I read reviews about how he treats his staff. I have never witnessed it. Wont be returning.

Dr Close has been outstanding in every way with myself,y son, and my friends.He has been my dentist for over 25 years, and its nice that everybody I referred to him, has come back and used words like, Outstanding, Very Professional, he seems to really care about his patients, etc.In the early 50s he took out for wisdom teeth, two were impacted and I thought I was going to have to go in the hospital.Maybe this is unique for myself, yet after a day-and-a-half, where my wisdom teeth were, not only quit bleeding, they quit hurting.He truly does care about his patientsJeff Griggs

I have been going to Dr. Close for over fifteen years. I have never experienced any issues with the staff or Dr. Close personally. Connie, the hygenist, is just wonderful. I would recommend her to anyone. The good doctor knows his profession and provides excellent care. He may not overwhelm you with his personality, but I dont go there for a social event. I trust his judgment and work.

Called a few times to make sure they took my insurance, was told after I drove 50 min to there facility that I was responsible for 89$ of the visit!!! I wasnt happy per I was NOT informed this when I made appointment for my son! soooooo then they proceeded with the checkup, they did multiple things only after they where finished they told me Im responsible for ANOTHER $100 bill, so thats 189$ that I WAS NOT informed before I got there nor before they did whatever it was to cost that much!! I can tell you in my business if that happened where I DID NOT inform the customer of additional costs!! MY BUSINESS would eat that cost!! so on those reasons I am VERY UNHAPPY with the visit, I WILL NOT be going there again nor would recommend this facility.... oh BTW they where polite when presenting me with the large invoice!! lol SMH

I couldnt say anything more positive than the fact that Dr. Close does great dental work. Ive only been going to his office for a short time, but his work has always been flawless. He also explains everything to you in clear terms so you can understand what is going on and what you can do to help better the situation.

I would like to first say Thank you to everyone in Dr.Close office because this was the best dental experience ever. To be greeted by the best reception Brandy and the warm care feeling from Katronda made my visit a success. Just like anyone else a dentist visit is always scary but Dr. Close bed side manners are over the top The BEST and it made me feel comfortable. Katronda stood by myself the entire journey. Brandy called to always check on me. I will refer everyone to them because they really care about your smile. And yes I’m smiling BIG now. Thanks to the Dr. Close Office Family ❤️

I would not recommend Dr. Close to anyone. We was very rude to and verbally abusive towards his staff. I went back after seeing this during my first visit because I thought maybe he was having a bad day, everyone does. On my second visit he was even ruder to the hygienist and snatched something out of her hand that visibly frightened her. The guy has some issues. A few months after the second visit I mentioned the incident to my periodontists hygienist and without telling her his name she knew who I was talking about because she had the same experience when she went to see him and has had other patients who have as well. Not sure what the turnover rate is like on his staff but I dont see how anyone could stay there for long. Again, the guy has some issues.

Very rude to staff... you have to see/hear it for yourself. He does seem competent as a dentist, but very little bedside manners. The staff are very knowledgeable about his personality. I would not work there, but to each their own. Bottom line... good dental work, but awful psychological atmosphere.

I have been a patient of Dr. Closes practice for about 3 years now. I have always received exemplary service and Dr. Closes work is perfectionist level. I just left his office this morning after 2 crown replacements and my mouth looks better than it ever has; my entire family is in the dental field, so I know good work when I see it. His staff has been perpetually friendly, courteous and knowledgeable throughout my experience and I look forward to being a patient of the practice for the rest of the time Im in Tallahassee, which will hopefully be many years.John Baker - Gulf 104

I was in incredible pain and terrified that getting my toothache taken care of would make the pain even worse. Dr.Close was so patient with me and very considerate of both my fear and pain. I may still be drooling soup through my numbed lips, as Ive only just left the office, but I already feel so much better thanks to Dr. Close.

I have been going to Dr. Close for many years. He has always been very nice to me but he is very busy. I have always hated going to the dentist because of the pain but I can truely say he is the first dentist Ive been to who did not hurt as much as that is possible. He May not be Mr. Personality ( probably because hes busy ) but he is good and seems to put my dental health an needs first.The hygienest have always been very nice also.Remember your at the dentist and hands and tools are in your mouth so your not there to talk.I do think he needs to hire another dentist to help out because hes so busy. I would recommend Dr. Close to anybody.

Replace the incompetent and ill mannered old lady at the front office!! Would never recommend anyone because of her!!When I asked about explanation for the CODED procedure which got denied by the insurance, suddenly this old lady at front office jumped into our desk and started to act crazy and was really offensive. She also tried to get me sign a new form that essentially states that whatever estimate they provided and charged already can be wrong and they can charge me later !! Then what is point of giving them all the insurance info and going through these paperwork. You are working in this field for so long that you should have been able to produce an estimate by now!Dr. Close and the hygenist is nice but I would not recommend anyone because of that incompetent ill-mannered old lady in the front office.

Best dentist Ive ever had. Dr. Close is meticulous and doesnt miss a thing. Highly recommend.

Dt close was nice to me but the stuff is rude,can not do book keeping at all! I agreed to one price and made ALL payments on time until paid in full! Now 4 years later they are calling me none stop saying I owe them another 1700.00 i paid i said then the lady says to me youll pay or we will not ever stop calling.call me again Ill charge you with harassment!

Connie the hygienist was amazing, so kind, patient, gentle and caring. I would recommend her to anyone, even sensitive patients.

This is the most rudest individual I have ever encountered. I feel sorry for his staff because they are a savior for this man. WILL NOT BE BACK AND I HOPE THE WORD GETS OUT. TERRIBLE IS NOT THE WORDS TO USE ABOUT HIS BEHAVIOR...HOW IS HE STILL IN BUSINESS?

Wish I would have read these reviews before coming in. Used to use Aspros and Badgers which is like incomparable to this place. I had to switch due to insurance. I came in and got checked in fine. Then I got the Xrays.. everything still fine. Next the hygienist tells me that I have a mild form of gum disease. Maybe I do maybe I don’t. I am 27. She recommends some gum treatment. I, unable to pay out of pocket anything, ask how much this will cost me. She looks at a chart and tells me $30 something dollars. I say ok. This process is god awful. Its like getting stabbed in every inch of your gums. I go to check out and Im told my total is $118.00.. Um.. WHAT? At this point I just want to cry, my mouth hurts, I don’t have this money. I charge it and an hour later head to Publix where I had to get an antibiotic (probably because my gums bleed profusely). My antibiotic was for $108!!!! Publix offers 4 antibiotics for free, but for some reason this dentist wrote me an antibiotic for the most expensive one possible. I can’t afford this seeing as how I already spent $120 at the dentist earlier that I didn’t have. I call to see if they can rewrite the prescription for a cheaper antibiotic, but alas they are not open on Fridays and they also do not respond to calls on the emergency line. Do yourself a favor and go to someone who cares. (*The hygienist I had was nice.. I never even meet the dentist).

I returned to Dr. Close after only two years because my root canal and crown I spent $1,600 on needed to be re- done. I asked him to pull the tooth instead . Whatever the reason he acted angry, yelling and being abusive to his staff and throwing his tools, mask etc... at his staff as he pulled what turned out to be 2 teeth, not one, like I requested. I did not know he pulled two teeth until I went to another dentist a year later. I would not recommend this dentist.
