Dr. Gitelman is the best. I was in so much pain and his spine surgery for me was the best decision I ever made. He let me make the decision wasn’t pushy, listen to my concerns. I can’t say enough about him! Great doctor!

Dr. Gitelman is an extremely knowledgeable Surgeon with good hands. I can say that because I used to work with him in the OR. His patients have outstanding results better than anyone else I have worked with. He wont just sell you a procedure to get paid. Its so hard to find a good surgeon who does academic level work and really cares about the people he is treating. This is a guy you can trust.

I have found Stamford Orthopedics to be the only place I would go with my wife and my three sons for any orthopedic issues. Being a father of three boys that played hockey we have had many different issues with collar bones buckle fracture‘s and ankles. In this past month I have met Dr Alex Gitelman I came to him in extreme pain and discomfort that I have lived with for a good part of my adult life. Dr Gitelman assessed my situation gave me my options explained to me that my back problems and pain were a result of the way I was born I was left with no alternative than to put my faith in his prognosis which was a triple laminectomy and I am Happy to say that he did everything that he said he would and I am a very pain-free 58-year-old construction worker 40 years that is very very happy and would recommend Dr Gitelman to anyone.

Great experience with neck spine surgery assisted by nerve surgeon. Dr gitelman not pushing and listen to your problem. Day 4 after surgery no pain and no meds! Hoping to drive after 1 week 🤞 let’s see ...

Fantastic Surgeon assisted by a fantastic nerve Doctor. This is the first time since 2015 that I am finally pain free. Doctor Gitelman performed a Laminectomy and a Fusion on the L3 to L5 region of my lower spine. Recovery with PT at the ENCLAVE was ordered by him along with a pain free Bone Growth Stimulator and I am slowly, but surely recovering. Suffice it to say that it took a long time for me to develop that bone spur which touched a nerve in the lower interior of my spine, but now I am finally PAIN FREE thanks to Doctor Gitelman. Good Man and listens to and answers every question that you may have about your pain.

Seems to genuinely care about his patients. He is open and honest, not pushy and takes his time to answer questions. He’s always available if you need to ask him something. He doesn’t push surgery, is cautious in prescribing opioids (something I feel is a real problem nowadays), and treats your symptoms and issues with respect. I’ve never felt so at ease with a doctor, especially a specialist.
