I went to Stamford Hospital for a pulmonology appointment. I gave my insurance and paid my copay, they then told me to have a chest X-ray before my appointment. I had not yet met with a doctor and they made no mention of additional charges beyond the co-pay. 3 weeks later I get two separate bills from two separate Stamford Health businesses, one for over $400. I made calls to both and received no explanation or help from the billing departments, both of whom referred me to the doctors office. After being told that I need to speak to billing I explained the situation. The gentleman I spoke to said he would ask his supervisor. Then without coming back on the line he transferred me back to billing so I could hold for another half hour. If you can get medical treatment anywhere else I recommend it.

Horrible experience with the Blood Draw Station on Long Ridge Road. I called in the morning to make sure they received my doctors fax for bloodwork and was told they were too busy to check. I ended up calling again from work and was told to stop by, however when I went in at 4:53pm the woman told me I was too late despite their hours being listed as 8-5. Apparently if you need to have bloodwork, you have to get there at 4:30 or they wont see you, which should be on the door and on the website so you dont waste your time. Huge disappointment and poor service, dont go here.
