I have to say your new dental hygienist Allison is top notch! For me that is the worst part about going to the dentist. But she was very gentle, kind, and most importantly my teeth look the best they have in years! By far Allison is the best hygienist Ive ever had!

I’ve been looking for a great DDS here in Springfield since I moved back 12 years ago! I finally found Dr.Z and his lovely staff. The hygienist, Allison, could not have been more thorough. I’ve never had a perfect cleaning in Springfield until w/Allison, and I mean PERFECT!. The office manager is very professional and friendly. Dr. Z is calm, knows EXACTLY what he’s doing and doesn’t sell you on procedures, products or services you probably don’t need! From what I understand Dr.Z does much more than general dentistry...like everything , in dentistry! He’s just a cool guy. In my opinion, this group is tops, here in Springfield, I see no reason to ever leave this practice! I’m greatful beyond measure to have been referred to DrZ

I really like Dr Z, he is such a good dentist plus he has such a pleasing personality. He makes going to the dentist a pleasant experience and all the girls on his staff are so sweet and kind. Im so happy we have Dr. Z is our dentist!

Everyone is so kind, nice. The energy is great. The doctor doesnt make you feel that he is in to the next person, he takes time and explain things that are important.

Ive been going here a while, staff has been quite nice and good at their job. BUT, Miss Julie B made me feel like I was in a interesting classroom with all the things she told me that Ive never been told how to do like ways to floss and circle brush your teeth.

My first visit ..Cathy the hygienist was so professional & thorough. It was so nice to have someone ease my dental jitters. You could tell her patients are her priority. Dr Z was very nice. He did not give me the best news but assured me I would be in good hands.

Do NOT go to this office! Not a recognizable face every 6 months. Doctor left during my visit and tried to retroactively have me sign a form saying I was OK with it, I was not. They wanted to text pics of my teeth to the absent doctor, violation of HIPAA. I asked to speak to someone regarding my poor experience and have yet to hear from anyone.

I was referred to this office went one time and was so pleased with the excellent service and chair side from DrZ . I decided to go back for all my treatment . I live in Michigan City Indiana its a 4 hr drive . Went back to get fillings and a crown and still very pleased with his excellent services . He is fantastic with the shots !!! First time I felt like i was priority and not rushed out of the chair . At some point during his procedure i fell asleep because he was so gentle ❤️ I recommend him to all my friends when they ask . Worth the long drive for his excellence !

Wow what a great team. Love these folks. Doctor Z and his dental aid takes the great care and precision in his work. The office team go out of their way to arrange the best coordination for us to understand and pay for treatment. The office managers Name is Tara and she is spectacular in being conscientious of the patients needs. I cant say enough. good job.

Last year I had enough, I suffered from tooth pain for two years that another dentist couldnt find a reason for. Dr. Shannis found a fracture in a perfect looking tooth that allowed an infection to grow until it affected my jaw bone. This year I lost a cap just before Easter even with the COVID19 restrictions he didnt make me wait. THANK YOU so much. He did so with professional, informative, gentle kindness. I am so glad to have a healthy, working, pain-free mouth and enjoy my food again!

The level of care at Dr. Zs clinic surpasses the highest expectations anyone can have regarding a dental clinic. Dr. Z and his staff are caring, warm, and make you feel right at home while delivering a supreme-quality service unmatched anywhere.Dr. Z is a special dentist and human being altogether. His level of concern, care and love for his patients is beyond one’s imagination. He genuinely cares such that it feels like his caring is, in and of itself, his own personal reward. I have not known such a quality in another human being. If you are looking for a dentist who will care for your teeth for life, then you have just found him. Springfield is so fortunate to have such a high-quality dentist within its community.

I just had my cleaning today and was relieved to go to my trusted hygienist, Cathy. She has been our hygienist for well over 25 years. Our entire family followed her to this new practice just because we truly respect Cathys proficiency and expertise in dental hygiene. Honestly, I doubt I would have switched to Midwest Dental if it wasnt for Cathy working there. Not only is she an excellent hygienist, she is truly concerned for her patients well-being and is always very caring and personable. Thank you, Cathy, for being so dedicated to your patients and your profession.

This was my first dentist visit since a horrible experience at another. Just walking through the doors it was an atmosphere that put me at ease. From the second I got there to the second I left I felt that everyone took the time to keep me at that comfort level and explained everything along the way.

My 1st appt. with actual dentistry taking place went very well! Dr. Z is very kind and considerate and a very interesting individual to talk with. Of course, you cant do a lot of talking with actual dentistry taking place, but it all went well.Not crazy about the robot appt. reminder calls (frequently of poor quality) and the sort of corporate ambience generally, but Tara and Dr. Z and the whole team are doing their best to make it a genuinely patient-friendly and congenial place to go for good dental care.

Cathy my Hygenist is simply the best. She is extremely thorough as well as kind and considerate. While she’s not always able to deliver great news she does so professionally and kindly. She takes time to explain what’s going on in your mouth and why and how to do a better job with your personal oral hygiene so you can be healthy and have a great check-up next time. Dr Z is professional and easy to talk to. He asks multiple times if you have any questions and makes sure you are comfortable with all aspects of your visit. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

Had a great experience today with Dr. Ziad and trusty assistant Ayryan. He prepped for two crowns, constantly concerned about my comfort and any pain I may be experiencing. Though my easy gag and swallow reflex probably made his precise work on that rear molar not easy and at times a challenge, he never let me feel it was an issue. And I appreciated that. Looking forward to coming back in a few weeks to get the permanent crowns installed.

I have been going to Dr VanSandt for almost 30 years. He and his staff are outstanding. I’ve always gotten excellent care. Once he even went to the office on a weekend to help me out with a broken tooth. He’s had the same staff for years. A very stable, accommodating business.

When you walk in you get a smile from chenoa that will brighten your day, which is a great way to start a dentist appointment. They are friendly and always makes you feel relaxed. Thanks Doc. and chenoa.

Visited Midwest Dental (Dr. Van Zandt) for an emergency issue with a cracked tooth. As always Office Staff and Dental Hygienists were very pleasant and professional. Overall a great experience. Dr. Van Zandt is a great dentist and promotes a great business atmosphere and experience.

Had emergency last week and was able to get an appt that day!!. Extraction and implant are now in my near future. Todays visit gave me a temporary crown. Dr Shannis is excellent. He is very caring and made todays procedure a positive experience. Ayryan assisted and is great! She is very friendly and knows her stuff!! Highly recommend Midwest Dental.

We were sad to see Dr. VanSandt go, but optimistic about the new dentist. Ive been twice now and have been completely dissatisfied with my visits. First, in November of 2018, when I was pregnant, it was indicated that if I didnt bring my newborn back for the spring visit no one would be happy with me. After spending an hour there (mind you VanSandt only took 20 minutes), I left with my mouth hurting (it wouldnt stop for 2 days). I chalked this up to being pregnant.When I returned in the spring (sans baby), I experienced the same thing. This time I had xrays, way more than normal. Remember these xrays. I was there for an hour, and when I requested that the sound machine cleaner not be used that had been used in Novemeber I received a dirty look and it was still used about half the time just to get rough areas. I was told I had cavities that needed to be filled ASAP. Upon visiting a new dentist tonight I was told this was wrong and that I had one very small one that will be reevaluated in the fall.My wisdom teeth are due for removal (over due really due to my pregnancy) and I requested my xrays be sent to where my wisdom tooth surgery was to be done. This was requested 3 times by me and the surgeons office. I only got them after I returned and stood there until I confirmed they were in my email inbox.I wouldnt recommend this office to anyone for any reason. They are truely out to get patients money and are not providing accurate information to get more money.
