I’ve been waxing my eyebrows and upper-lip region ever since I was a teenager. True confessions. However, it got aggravating because the wax would create ingrown hairs that looked like double and triple headed pimples! Not to mention, sometimes the wax would get too hot and make cracks in the skin around my lip!Sugaring is so gentle that it has never caused any of these painful circumstances. I always book with Sarah. She keeps the area super clean. She always greets me in the waiting room with a smile and enthusiasm. Which helps because I always feel nervous going to have my face waxed! She makes me laugh and I really stop thinking twice about any anxiety. I’m too busy laughing. I had my first Brazilian ever. I was so nervous but Alexis was able to help me relax and talked me through the entire process. She was honest about what to expect and made the experience less scary! I don’t have anything to compare sugaring to, but I assume it was okay since I plan to go back!

I have used this place 2 times now, and today, I walked in a few minutes late and they told me that my appointment was cancelled. I checked the website for what is considered the late or No-show time and it said 10 minutes (I was there 5 minutes late) and walked back in. I was then told that they have a 5 minute policy posted on the table though there was no paper there stating that and that they could see me later that day, around 2pm. I drive over 30 minutes to get to the business, and that was not an option for me. I had great experiences before but this was a bit ridiculous and I will not be returning.

I got really lucky getting Erica for my first Brazilian experience. I will not go anywhere or to anyone else. I will never forget how terrified I was my first time sugaring and only wanted to do my sides but Erica encourage me to do the full Brazilian and she was right! I will never go back to shaving!The first time is the worst but it gets better each time as long as you don’t shave in between appointments! Erica always makes me feel very comfortable and is VERY professional. It feels like I’ve known her for 10 years. 🤣I feel like a rockstar every time Erica is done! My confidence level goes through the roof! I highly recommend Erica and SugaringNYC. The salon is always very clean, cute and professional. I received sugaring by Sarah today. Sarah was very nice and made me feel comfortable. I was very pleased with the sugaring results for the underarms and bikini and would recommend people give those a try as opposed to waxing. However, I don’t recommend the full leg wax from my experience. After growing my leg hair out for 6 weeks, it was more than long enough for every hair to be removed evenly. Upon leaving my appointment, I felt my legs and it felt like I was on day 5 after shaving... long stubble everywhere. I believe this was a result of breakage, which is when the hair breaks off half way down rather than being pulled from the follicle, which is the entire point of waxing/sugaring. It’s such a disappointing feeling to leave an appointment expecting to feel silky smooth and ready for vacation... only to realize you’re still going to have to pack your razor for your trip. In addition, advertising sugaring as a service that “hurts less” than waxing is misleading. It hurts just as bad if not worse than waxing due to the uncomfortable feeling of hair being pulled in the opposite direction of hair growth (ouch) before being pulled out in the direction of hair growth (big ouch). Fortunately, since it was my first visit, I received 50% off my services, which made me feel a little bit better about not being entirely pleased, but it definitely isn’t a way to bring someone back for more services if it’s not done right the first time. Just my personal experience and I know so many people love sugaring, so definitely try it for yourself, everyone is different!!

Staff is so friendly, but the traffic to get there is horrible no matter the time of day. They need a better location.8/1 Walked in to see if I could take advantage of the special they were running today. I have an appointment set for 8/7. I was approached by name, never gave my name and was told that though they could take me today they needed to help other customers. That because I have had 5 no shows I could only ever be a walk in. I have NOT had 5 no shows. I have had 1. Ive only been here three times. The other 2 I arrived 3min into my appointment due to the construction on 412 that I had no idea about. I dont live in Springdale. Even then, I had to reschedule once of those two due to my 3-4 minutes into my appointment time. I still paid for my services though I did not receive them that day due to my tardiness, regardless the reason.The lady proceeds to tell me that my appointment that I made a month ago that is coming up on 8/7, I will not be able to have possibly. I understand monitarily penalizing a client for lateness. I dont have an issue with that at all. I was here on Friday. No one spoke with me about anything. I walk in today and I publicly told information that is not true and there is no manager on site. I was told a manager will be contacting me tomorrow.

Been going here shortly after opening and I am obsessed with it! Very friendly staff, love the feel of atmosphere. I love how easy to book online. Been using same sugarist, she always lifts my spirits up and someone I can trust, we’re always laughing. I have mobility issues and even tho she’s the tallest table, she helps me get on up! Since I normally do not shave, even as a teen could careless maybe armpits every once in a while during summer.. figurd I would treat myself. My hair is very fair and light. For my low maintenance style and life this makes my life even simpler and smoother!

Emily is who I schedule with and she is an expert in her role. There is body positivity and inclusion at this location. So if you are hesitant because of insecurities, bite the bullet and book with her. I have sensitive skin and am prone to irritation and razor burn, sugaring as an all natural hair removal, has been the best thing for my skin ever. This is something I will continue setting aside part of my budget for. 100% worth it.

Finally they opened in Springdale. I was Sugaring NYC customer when i studied in Boston - let me tell you - Best waxing experience EVER!!! Hair does not grow for at least 3 weeks, some of my girls didnt have hair for 4-5 weeks. I never get ingrown hair on my bikini Ever! Always great emotions. Employees here are so so sweet. Cant wait for my next appointment!
