This is a great school for the Nursing Program. I graduated from there in 2016 and I got a job at a Nursing Center right away. It was a little bit expensive comparing to other schools but my classes were totally reimbursed by my employer 6 months after I accepted the position. I passed the writing and clinical exams from the first time.

I’m a veteran attempting to use my benefits. I reached out and applied online back in August prior to the 17th. Denise at Abcott takes no accountability and doesn’t do her job. Blatantly ignored my attempts to move forward in the enrollment process. Never sent any information I needed. I requested more information and today, she answered the phone and unknowingly expected me to call admissions. She never returned any email since august 16th or left any voicemails for me.Today, October 1st, she stated she will take no accountability for her errors and lack of reliability because “she’s only one person.” She told me the deadline for enrollment is one week from today’s date. And this is also the LAST class of the year. I’m VERY upset and have been inconvenienced. I can assure based on this the VA will be removing this as an approved-school unless otherwise these issues are remedied and not a reoccurrence for prospective students.

Apply somewhere else! This place is EXTREMELY overpriced with mediocre teachers. They have WAAAYYYYY cheaper classes available throughout Michigan with the same programs and way better and more experienced teachers. Dont waste your money or time on this place. Its so unorganized and unprofessional please keep searching for different schools because trust me this isnt it.

They lie, and say surgical technician and then all the information says surgical technologist which they cant do..... Theyre not accredited so you cant get jobs in real hospitals no matter where you do clinicals at. You can never be certified by the certifying board for surgical technologist because youre not a surgical technologist, Youre going to spend a lot of money and have no way to pay it back. SCAM

I just recently graduated as a CNA from Abcott Institute. I absolutely loved this school. The knowledge they imparted us and their way of teaching was just phenomenal. I recommend this school to everyone who wants to take medical training. They have wonderful teachers and staff that I still check up on. I want to thank everyone who helped me become a certified nursing assistant.

I’ve had amazing experience at Abcott Institute, from my first day all the way till my placement. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. Abcott brought out the passion in me that I actually didn’t even know I had. I will be now working as a medical assistant and I plan to continue my further education in the same school.

Flexible programsThe students who work to support themselves can find  a good choice here at Abcott Institute. I take evening classes for the certified nursing assistant program. And I get time to work and study, thanks to their flexible options! So far I am impressed with the study programs and my instructors here at school.

Great experience! I learned more than I had expected. My instructors were fantastic and very helpful. As hands-on-training is quite important in surgical technician training, I really liked the way our instructors used examples and visual aids to make things easier for us.

Im just here because I find it interesting that the first two comments say the same thing by two different people... mmmm... also all the negative comments say similar things and there anywhere between 1-3 years apart. To me this seems like the good reviews are lies and the school may actually suck...

This is not a good school. I went to this school wanting to become a PCT but had to go through two other programs and still didnt get the certificate that I came for out of multiple different classes no one besides one person pass the PCT test. The teachers never knew what to teach us which left us floating in the wind all they want is your money. I was 17 the youngest at the time attending this school I was foolish. This school claim that they we would go to the morgue and never did we never had a consistent teacher. This school should only reach cna and hha because that is the only thing that they know how to teach. This school needs to go down if only I could figure out how.

I did not have a good experience with Abcott Institute I was enrolled in the CNA course ONLY. My instructor was Mrs. Hefferon she got hurt and could not see her class to the end. Ms. Pat did not schedule me for my CPR class and my admissions rep Tom Bostic always asked me if I needed any help I said YES but, NO HELP. Where we did our CLINICAL Terrible. Now 7/2017 I get a letter in the mail from a debt collector. I have called the school on 7/5/6/2017 they take a message but, NO ONE that can help ME in this Matter will call ME back. The STAFF at Abcott did not help me to achieve my GOAL of becoming a CNA shame on ALL The STAFF. I still want MY CNA I want to pass the Prometric test in just ONE TRY. I Would Not Recommend Anyone to Attend Abcott Institute go to FOCUS HOPE instead.

Abbott should not be operating the staff such as the school owners only care about getting you into the school long enough to receive tuition money. They are unorganized, they never have an adequate amount of supplies, and they send you to do clinicals at facilities thats so horrible your bound to just throw the whole career away. Just face it Abcott is a rip off school total waste of money and the BBB should be ashamed to be letting them be in business.

Abcott Institute : Best school ever. great service but most valuable part of the school is that you get an employment to a reputed hospital that was the finest moment of the whole training part.I went to clinical with 16 students last month at Detroit Medical center Hospital. 7 of us went for interview. and we went to DMC for interview, Abcott attached all our records with a NICE recommendation letter and attendance records, 2 students got denied as they were nasty at hospital and not only that they were into altercation with another student.i got to work at DMC however school immediately contacted me that beaumont family center was hiring in case i want to work there get a referral letter from school which i did. and i got hired at beaumont. start salary is good like 16nsh but if i accept their travel job they will pay me $30 as a patient care tech. cant to travel my kids are small, i may take night shift and that will give me little bit more money like 18-19 which is pretty reasonable . its a great program and one MUST have patience to complete program required hours. worth for the time of 26 weeks.

Abcott should not even be allowed to call themselves a school! They are the most unorganized, unprepared, confused, non communicating, inconsiderate place of business ever. I regret the day I even found out about this school, it was the biggest waste of my time. I would NOT recommend this school to ANYBODY!
