Probably one of the best orthopedic surgeons in the area. After a surgery to repair a broken femur went totally wrong, I was referred immediately to Dr. Mamczak at Memorial ER and spent 10 days in the hospital and underwent 2 surgeries to repair complications in my leg. I felt much more at ease than I did with my initial surgeon at a different hospital. Dr. Mamczak and his team of NPs and other healthcare professionals all had great bedside demeanor and were wonderful. The follow up appointments at Beacon Bone and Joint were all super smooth and I never experienced the usual hassle of having to wait forever in a waiting room.I just had my 6 month follow up appt for x rays and a consult with the providers, and I was so happy to tell them that everything feels great, that I can barely tell anything even happened to my leg (9 months after having a severe femur fraction and just under 6 months from my last surgery on it). This guy knows his work very well. Very straight forward about what needs to be done and how hes gonna do it. I was recently in a car accident. I had a shattered pelvis, femur bone, my hip had 2 fractures, two broken ribs and two fractured vertebrae. Went through 6 hrs of surgery and couldnt be happier with the outcome. Im still pretty sore as would be expected but over all I feel great. I wouldnt want anyone else to work on my bones. I feel very lucky to have had him as a surgeon.

He is a great Dr. He repaired my broken tibia. He has been working hard to figure some things out with my leg that have been very trying. Great bed side manor. NOW 18 MONTHS LATER 2ND SURGERY, ABSOLUTELY NO PAIN AND ON THE WAY TO GREAT RECOVERY!!!

Dr. Mamczak was instrumental in my regaining quality of life after a very bad injury threatened not only my ability to walk again but if my leg could be saved. He was at all times honest yet compassionate in his appraisal of my situation. When things didnt go as hoped he was ready with an alternative plan. His cheerful manner offered a ray of light when it counted. Now thanks to his considerable skill I am doing as much if not more things than before my injury. I would also like to add a hats off to all his staff but particularly his NP Dana.

Great physician. Listens to you, has empathy and is easy to talk to. Hes staff is kind, especially the NP Dana. Dana was there with me in the ER after my fall, being supportive and informative about the situation. He explained the reason for having to do conscious sedation to fix the dislocation with my ankle but I would still have to go to surgery to fix the fracture. Dr. Mamczak took over care after the surgery. He has been ready to problem solve the complications that has arisen with the healing and mobility of my ankle.

How does one properly thank the physician that not only saved my life, but saved my legs. I was in a severe car accident last fall and needed four emergency surgeries, including debridement of auto oil and glass from my leg; a broken ankle fracture and a crushed tib/fib. I spent 3 days in ICU and received somewhere around 6-8 units of blood to keep me alive. I could not have been in better hands with anyone. Fate had it (God played a little part too) that Dr. Mamczak and his team would be the attending physician when the helicopter brought me to the hospital. Thank you for giving me my life and my legs. You rock Dr. Mamczak!

I had a traumatic injury to my left arm and my regular orthopedic doctor wanted me to get a second opinion. Thank God the doctor he sent me to was Dr. Mamczak! Ill give my review by category.1. His staffI was left a voicemail the day I first found out that he was accepting me as a patient. I called back and got his voicemail. My call was returned immediately and they got me in for an appointment the next day.Dr. Mamczaks nurse spent about half an hour with my wife and I going over what my options were. That was on Friday. I called early Monday morning to find out my lab results and expected to be told to Wait a few days and then wait for them to get back with me. Nope. They told me to wait a couple of hours. Remember, I called first thing in the morning. About an hour later they called back and let me know the results and scheduled me for surgery the following day.2. The doctorAfter talking with Dr. Mamczaks nurse for about half an hour, Dr. Mamczak sat down and talked to my wife and I for about half an hour as well and discussed what the surgery would entail and why it was necessary. Yep, you read that right. The DOCTOR spent HALF a freaking HOUR with us! He went over what my range of motion would be and what I needed to do after the hospital stay. Dr. Mamczak breaks everything down in terms that are easy to understand and never makes you feel like he is talking down to you.3. The surgeryI was told to be at the hospital by 11:00am and I would be prepped and going for my procedure at 1:00pm. We were told the surgery would last approximately 3 hours. EVERYTHING was on time. I went in for the procedure at 1pm and came out just after 4pm. The surgery went without a single hitch and he stayed on top of me following the operation, which is the hallmark of a great surgeon. I never once felt like he was passing me on to the next guy and I wasnt his problem anymore.The real test is is this: If my son (aged 9) needed surgery, would I let Dr. Mamczak preform the operation? I would not just let him, I would beg, if necessary, for him to do it.

I broke my leg on my dirt bike and never thought I would walk the same again, I was wrong, dr. Mamzack put it all back together and I was walking again in about 2-3 months. Great doctor. I would highly recommend
