1. Webster has sent me not one, not two, but three erroneous bills for over 500 dollars. Each time I freaked out, called Webster, left voicemails, received calls back days later, and was told to disregard the bills, because they had been sent accidentally by their automated process. I cannot imagine how much money this place makes by accepting erroneous payments from patients without the wherewithal to question why they are receiving a completely fake bill.2. I had to go in for scaling and root planing, a relatively painful procedure. When I went in for my follow-up exam, I was told I needed more scaling and root planing. When I understandably asked why I would need it again so soon after the first time, I was told by the dentist who performed the procedure that she would attempt to do a better job this time. Really would have appreciated the good job the first time.3. I have had a really problematic toothache for over a year. Webster has been unable to diagnose or help me solve it. The last time I went in for a cleaning, I asked for an exam from a dentist. The hygienist warned me that this would count as my final insurance-covered exam of the year. I said thats fine, I obviously want to use it to get my tooth fixed. The dentist came in, examined me for 5 minutes (if not less), and told me there was nothing they could do.4. I recently received a letter saying that my account was seriously overdue, that they will have to reconsider seeing me as a patient. Not sure how I was supposed to know that I actually owed money, when every time I received a bill from them, I called and they told me to disregard it.Absolute scam artists. Worst dentist I have ever been to. Do not give them your business.

So I applied for a job thru indeed a few days ago. Some lady by the name of Fatima left me a message to call her back regarding my resume for there Receptionist position. I have called everyday since and left voicemails and messages with the receptionist they have now, her name is “Riley” so she says. She will leave me on hold and than come back saying Fatima was not able and that she would leave a message for her to call me back. As of today, I haven’t heard back from Fatima. This may not be a post about the services they provide but obviously some thing is wrong even with their receptionist and reason why they are hiring. If some of these reviews were regarding the bad services given, well my review is towards the receptionist. She don’t even know how to speak over the phone when you call. I can only imagine how patients must have trouble getting thru.

Set up an appointment just for a teeth cleaning, I do not have dental insurance, I was very clear over the phone all I needed was a cleaning. They try to up sell you on x Ray $$$ and then you have to pay the dentist to tell you his thoughts of the x Ray $$$, when I denied the x Ray , they denied the cleaning , I will never go back again. This is a hustle so they can take money from insurance or from you. This is simple cleaning wasted my time at 8am on a Saturday for this. I would recommend go else where. Next time be clear on your pricing with your customers over the phone before they come in , not sneak in additional things.

I had wisdom teeth extraction today, the whole experience was smooth and seamless. Extremely friendly staff, beautifully designed office.

Flexible schedule. Like the rest of the for profit health care sector, the line between necessary care and I need to make a buck care is very murky. It is unfortunate that physical constraint by staff is deemed appropriate for pediatric compliance with care and parents of toddlers are asked to leave the room while the pediatric staff treats the child. Im not sure this is legal, but I would not leave my child alone with the staff.

The four star review is for the facility itself, but I wanted to write this specifically for my hygienist, Mercedes. I would continue to go to Webster just for her alone. She made what could have been a difficult experience so smooth. Not only did she perform the dental process skillfully and successfully (root scaling), but it was comfortable and almost painless. Aside from that, she was empathetic and reassuring throughout. I wish I could give her more than 5 stars!

Best dentist I’ve been to. Had to schedule an emergency appointment during quarantine and they got me in right away, were extremely thorough in safety checks, and thoughtful about how to see patients during this time. WORST DENTIST I HAVE BEEN TO!!!!! I got a ground fill. They didn’t tell me any information about the warranty or anything. My ground fill that they did broke, and when I went to them to get it fixed they said no. They said their warranty is 3 years and it’s been 3 years and 2 months. I tried telling them it’s a emergency I can’t even eat. It’s like they have no compassion and they don’t care. They’re the ones who put it in. It’s like they do it bad on purpose so they can tell you that it’s been too long. Why are they not doing their job right? do not GO HERE unless you want to waste your money!!!They are in that way like the one who steals money openly.

Best Oral Surgery team out there!! I saw Dr. David Peterson to have my wisdom teeth extracted and the entire experience was beyond my expectations. Thanks to Dr. Peterson and the incredible oral surgery assistants Loni, Missy, and Ethel at Webster Dental Care, my surgery went so much easier and more painless than I could’ve hoped. The initial consultation was very thorough and they took the time to explain the whole procedure and answer all my questions. The day of surgery went very smoothly and they took extra care to make sure I was comfortable. Afterwards they made sure I had everything I needed to ensure a speedy recovery. They even called the following day just to check and see how I was doing. Now nine days later I feel just about good as new with no problems with the healing (like dry socket) at all. I honestly could not have asked for this procedure to go any better and I owe it all to them! Thank you so much guys! You are awesome!

Have not visited this place in MONTHS and already paid my dues before leaving and was told insurance is covers the rest. MONTHS LATER I’m getting a 60$ bill for something that happened LAST MONTH when I have not even been there in MONTHS. PLEASE KEEP YOUR RECORDS SAFE!Webster Dental initially told me I need “deep cleaning”. Never received a deep cleaning instead i just got routine clean ups. Weve been here for 7 years and the staff and dentist are very nice. My kids love the routine and know that they can ask any questions. The facility recently undergone a whole expansion and looks very nice. I run into moms I know in the waiting room, so theres a friendly community feeling here.

I recently returned to Webster Dental after a few years (moved too far away to visit). I am so glad to have returned. Their understanding of my profound anxiety of going to the dentist, left me in tears. Their teams kindness is truly special. Their care is exceptional and their staff is equally so. Carmen my Dental Hygienist was amazing. She was supportive and aware that this was my first treatment with her and that I was quite anxious. They are charging patients $15 to be seen! because they need to take temps and give them a mask and also to disinfect the rooms! As another person mentioned before salons and some stores do the same and are not charging people for that. I will be finding out if its even legal? I have paid my sons treatment off already why should I be giving your office any extra money? everyone is struggling financially! What your office is doing is HORRIBLE!

Had a 9:30 appointment & was taken within a few minutes. The hygienist Bo was very professional, friendly, & informative. Did a wonderful job. Dr Gasser then came in & did his exam. I have been going to him for many years & am always very pleased with him. The only thing I didnt like was the fact I was told i HAD to take X-rays when I said I didnt want them. I dont have insurance & X-rays always add so much more onto my bill. I dont mind taking an X-Ray if a tooth is bothering me, but to be told I HAVE to take them is not right. I understand the reason, but it should be my choice.

This is really an awesome dentist place that you will never regret booking an appointment with. My impression is that the dentistry services are just excellent, starting from the reception, the dentist assistance and the dentist themselves, they are all amazing people. I just had adult braces put on today after 30+ years. Not only did Webster Dental treat me incredibly well and the staff was so nice, that they had my braces in place and completely done in less than an hour. From what I remember it took a lot longer than that. They were explained everything from beginning to finish and gave me extra tools at the end to help me along the way. I really appreciate the staff at this location they are incredibly nice and efficient and I can’t imagine going anywhere else My son is about to get braces himself and this is the place I’m definitely going to take him. He is autistic but he saw my braces and he’s kind of excited about getting them.

Had a biopsy done on a lump on my lip. Dr. Peterson was very kind in his explanation and answered my questions even the curiosity ones. The process was barely felt and the numbing was a pinch but nothing more.The staff was very kind and helpful throughout the process. Im healing and hopefully all restores well. Definitely a good experience.

I’ve been going to Webster Dental for 15+ years and love the place which says a lot given this is a DENTIST. No one likes going to the dentist but I confess I look forward to my visits because of Dr. Mendelson and Bo, the world’s best dental hygienist. I’m moving shortly but I’m determined to come back to the Chicago area at least once a year for a checkup because they’re incredible. It wouldn’t be fair if I didn’t give a shout-out to the rest of the team at Webster Dental because EVERYONE is kind, welcoming, patient and professional from reception until you’re walking out the door. At one point I rated them highly. My recent encounters have been less than desirable. Their management of accounts has been inaccurate. Setting up payment plans, and then charging the entire amount. Stating one amount due over the phone, and stating another the same day in person. I have taken to recording my phone conversations with them. When my daughter is finished with braces we will move to another dentist.

I have been trying to call Webster, and usually can get someone to pick up. I have called 3 times and left voicemails, but no one is getting back to me. I dont know why their service is getting so bad.

Dr. Mendelson and Tasha are a fantastic duo! I felt heard when discussing my dental concerns. Together we came up with a plan to get to my desired results. The entire staff at Webster Dental Skokie is phenomenal. It truly does feel like family.

All around great experience! I’m not a fan of dentists, having had some bad experiences in my youth. But I now have to set an example for my daughter who is deathly afraid of dentists. I explained this to Abby on the phone and to Joy when I was in the office. Both seemed to know just what to say to let me know they heard my concerns and took them seriously. Abby suggested Dr. James Hu and it was a great suggestion! Dr. Hu first talked to me about my concerns and experiences and shared some of his own. He said he became a dentist to change those experiences for others. He walked me through everything and even switched to a different method when I was having a bad reaction to something. He and his assistant listened to me and took the best care possible. I highly recommend this dentist and this office.

Betty is GREAT. Efficient, on time, professional and she really knows her stuff. Going to the dentist for a cleaning is one of my least favorite things to do. But Betty makes this process tolerable because of her professionalism, efficiency and skill. She is the BEST!!

I have been going to them for over 13 years now and they are the best dental staff and dentists I have ever dealt with! They do an amazing job every time I go. An I also have the rest of my family there now too! We love them!

It is not the quality of the dental work that is done that is the issue. It is a combination of the outrageous prices for the dental work that is the issue and the heavy-handed way in which they operate. As an example, even though I have been a patient of theirs for over 30 years I was called the day before a dental procedure to make sure I understood that full payment was due at the time of the procedure and wanting to know the form of my payment. I was also promised a credit for my initial consultation that was not ultimately given with the nonsense explanation that they adjusted the actual cost of the procedure to allow for it (not true). Good dentists but terrible and offensive businessmen. Go somewhere else!

Very slow process for check in. Not an easy first dental visit for my toddler. Waited half hr for check in which seems forever with a toddler. My appointment was with a specific dr but I was seen by another dr! The staff were careless and rude.

Carmen is an excellent hygienist. Dr. Mendelson is personable and exceptional at his craft. I trust his expertise and skills.

I am new to the area and was looking for a dentist that would be convenient and provide quality service. Webster is that place. Dr. Gasser was very friendly and did great work repairing a cavity and preparing a temporary crown. He was very reassuring and explained each step of the process to make sure I knew what was happening and was comfortable during the procedure. I had no pain or swelling after the procedure and would highly recommend them to my family and friends.

My experience started when I entered Webster to see it was newly updated as well as expanded. I had an appointment to have my teeth cleaned with Eva. She was pleasant and did a great job. I also met Dr Hu which is a new dentist. He was personable and proffesional. I like that he gave me good advice to better care for my teeth. The staff there seemed to go out of there way to make me feel comfortable. I will indefinitely return to Webster Dental for any future care.

Here are my reviews for this place copied form my yelp review.I do not usually leave any reviews of whether a place is good or bad, but this has gone too far, and I have to write this review to raise awareness of hidden works of this place.It used to be a good place when I started coming to Webster (Skokie location) in 2017, staffs were nice and they still do. Until a recent visit take its toll, and more things revealed tracing back to how they had hold credits that were supposed to be refunded back to me.With my recent visit, they assigned me to another lady (believe her name is Brittany, blonde, has a daughter that wants to be a hairdresser), they were checking my insurance, read out loud of what I have and make an uncomfortable sound about it as if my insurance is great for them to hunt me down till the last of my wallet.My gum score went up by 2 ~ 4 points since 6 months ago, and I had so much suspicion about this particular hygienist. I really dont think 6 months could change that much on my gum especially if maintain them. She insisted on doing an X-ray, and to my refusal, she stated: The Illinois policy states that you have to have at least one X-ray per year for us to treat you...and so they did it...with additional of 2 EXTRA SHOTS without telling me and billed me later. In addition, they said I have potential gum problems and are looking to introduce me to a program that makes me go back every 4 months...This place has no concern about other peoples financial situation and seeks to devour every bit of your income. For the full time spent there, until the end was all about getting this new dental care program, and NEVER DID CLEANING (which was my original intention for scheduling...just needed to do the cleaning...). What is so hard about this? As I complain to the front desk, here are her exact words By doing the general cleaning at this point, it may not be beneficial to you AND TO US What a SELFISH STATEMENT YOU CAN HAVE...seriously.They give good advice in the first place, general dental cleaning advises and slowly suggest more and more each time I visit...all I see in their eyes are simply filled with money...money...money...I have consulted with other orthodontists and hygienists around the area, and they all agree that there are better solutions to that dental program they tried to implement for me and that the general cleaning should have been done regardless of what my gum issue was.

Called to make an appointment because I have a cracked crown. I told them everything over the phone and they took down a detailed description. I showed up for my appointment expecting to receive treatment for my tooth and instead it was a diagnostic appointment only. They did xrays even though I told them I just had some done. And then told me I had a cracked crown and they needed to schedule me for another day to come back. And of course, the first available appointment is in two weeks. A waste of my time and money as they use up my dental insurance which is capped! Will be likely switching to another dentist. This office is too much like a factory.

Charged me $152.00 to basically tap on my tooth and tell me Im fine. If I were you Id find someone else to do your work.

I really like the office, but I didn’t care for Dr. Gasser. I didn’t like his demeanor. First, I been a patient of Dr. Mendelson for over 25 years and respect him greatly.Procedure is to remove 4 bottom front teeth and replace with implants.Dr. Abdullah started the process by removing the 4 teeth, the operation was almost painless ( just a little discomfort from a deep Novocain shot) but he made sure I was comfortable. He is very professional and good with patients. Now have to wait 3 months for gums to heal for implants. Provided me with temporary flipper mouth guard that prevents me from looking like a hillbilly. Wife could not tell it was only a temporary device.Looking forward to have a new smile in a few months.

Ive been going to Webster Dental for over 30 years, I moved a ways a way from Skokie over 4 years ago but I would never go to anyone else. I absolutely love my dentist, Dr. Freidburg and love my hygenist, Betty. They are wonderful.

When you first walk through the door, you can tell they put alot of work into making a nice atmosphere in the waiting room. There are beautiful Hawaiian paintings hung on the walls and the decor is on point. The girls behind the desk greeted me with a smile and were very friendly and competent. Had a small wait, but it was in the most comfortable waiting room chair I have been in.The Dr. Mendelson and his assistant did an excellent job of explaining how they would go about fixing the multitude of problems with my teeth. The procedure I had done last time was in depth, but they made sure I was comfortable and it was over fairly quickly. Overall the staff and doctors are very friendly and the office is clean and tidy.I would recommend office over the others in the area.

Take your business and sanity elsewhere. Marcella will file a false police report if you call her out on poor customer service. I had the pleasure of a police questioning thanks to her false claims I threatened to shoot her. While dentist and hygentist are top notch their customer service could use some mental health services.

I have doubts that there is a better dentist than Dr. Gene Mendelson. He worked on a very difficult wisdom tooth crown and made me feel comfortable and informed as the process proceeded.

I broke off the bottoms of 3 of my front teeth in an accident on a Saturday late afternoon. They took me in on a Sunday morning and did emergency repairs. You cannot even tell that the teeth were broken, thanks to Dr. Dickinson.

Clean, pleasant, I couldnt believe how big it actually is and how many workers. Each person I encountered was very nice and helpful. Very thorough exam! And passed me along to someone to discuss financing and insurance which was also very helpfu! Im glad I read the other reviews first, Im sticking to this place!
