I have been a patient of Dr Sokol’s in excess of 15 years. In that time he has exhibited the utmost professionalism and compassion. His skill level is second to none and his drive to give his patients the absolute best care is also second to none.

I am a Registered Nurse with an extensive and varied career history, including the US Air Force Nurse Corps, Hemodialysis Nurse Specialist,Clinical Instructor, and Hospice Nurse.Both my husband Paul and I have had bilateral cataract surgery performed by Dr. Sokol, and we would never entrust our care to any other surgeon.He is an incredibly astute diagnostician,with an extremely knowledgeable and very caring professional staff.Our procedures were performed at Griffin Hospital in Derby CT. It is a state of the art facility, where we were treated with respect and compassionate care.

My experience with Dr. Sokol was very distasteful to say the least. He was very insensitive and cold, and had no regard for my feelings or the painful situation I was dealing with. His bedside manner was horrible and I left his office in tears. I was a new patient and I left regretting even going there. It really doesn’t matter how wonderful your credentials are, if you don’t treat each and every patient that walks through your office doors with respect, your credentials mean nothing!

The Dr and staff are nice and friendly but the only thing I would say is the wait in the waiting room.it takes 30-45 min wait most 60 min.
