Absolutely love this place! I went here April of 2016 and came back this week while on vacation. I had Marie and she was excellent. So personable and welcoming! She was very honest and concerned with my needs and my hair. She gave me more than what I was expecting. I love love love this hair salon. I live in another state, but will make it a serious goal go come back here 😊 thank you Marie and Jordana for the amazing experience.

In addition to regrowth needing attention every 3 to 4 weeks I also looked for a salon closer to home/work with someone experienced with cutting hair dry. Very happy to find the Art of Hair and owner Jordana. The regrowth coverage on first visit came out so natural, actually looked like it had highlights in it, and left no line of demarcation. The second visit was for same and also included adding partial highlights. Jordana and Pravana mastered a very natural sun-kissed look with dimension. The most recent third visit again covered regrowth and I added a dry haircut. Remember to bring any inspiration picture for a haircut that also includes showing the back! Very happy to find an experienced master, an introduction to Pravana - a great product with long lasting color, reasonable prices, and close to work and home.

Marie did the best job I could ever asked for. Im usually very picky as Ive had more bad experiences than good. I was extremely happy with my highlights and haircut. She took the time and did an awesome job! Im definitely going back to this salon. The price was very reasonably as well. Totally recommend her and the salon. The ladies there are awesome!

My sister and two daughters and I have been seeing Jordana for 4 years now. We love the way she cuts and colors our hair. The hair grows out nicely. I also love that she uses safe products. My scalp doesnt itch when I get my color there. She also gives that extra touch to her clients - hot towels under your neck during shampoo, plus a spritz of toner on the face and a little lip gloss - it all makes a difference =)

Marie is amazing! An amazing colorist as person, which is the best combo! She really cares and listen, which results in an amazing outcome. It’s hard to find “real” people that love what they do and truly care about their client satisfaction, and Marie is one of them.

I saw Marie for the first time in December. The entire time she spent with me she educated me on the products, how tos of hair and we talked about ourselves. I just had another fantastic experience at The Art of Hair today - Jordana my color came out awesome - as usual - thank you!!! Jordana always does a great job with color and cuts. I have referred many friends and all have become repeat clients. I think that one of Jordanas best talents is to listen to what her client wants - before Jordana I went to many a stylist that did what they felt would look best on me and i often left disappointed. Since becoming a regular client at The Art of Hair I have NEVER had an issue. My 18 year old daughter goes there too and she has very curly hair which can be quite difficult for stylists. Jordana gives her a beautiful cut that is easy to manage and does make her look like a triangle!! Do yourself a favor and go to this salon - you will not be disappointed.

The perfect place to get your hair done! Jordana uses the Pravana line, which is an all natural product. Here’s the truth..I have very very fine hair that I keep very short. People think it is easy to get a great haircut when you have short hair..totally untrue. I also wanted a salon that did awesome color..and I meant all the fabulous pastel colors. I had been going somewhere that was extraordinarily expensive and the person I worked with did not suit me....it happens to all of us ..I went on google, typed in great hair salons in Shelton and there was the art of hair on Yelp with all these awesome reviews. I made an appointment... that was a year ago and I have found the best cut and most gorgeous color I have ever had at a wonderful cost. Jordana is a true artist that only uses the best products, you are treated brilliantly from the moment you walk in, her associate Marie who also does hair give the best head massage during the cleansing process you will ever have...and there is WiFi, coffee and snacks! I mean c’mon! I walk out feeling beautiful every time. This little gem of a salon is fabulous..

The hair stylists at TAOH know their stuff! The salon is clean and beautiful. The stylists are always up to date on trends and they really pay close attention to detail. The salon also uses Pravana Products which make my hair so soft and shiney! I highly recommend making an appointment, I promise you’ll be thankful you did!

Absolutely amazing!! Staff is VERY friendly! My hair is dark, dark brown/black, and not one hairdresser in CT has EVER been able to give me blonde hair or blonde highlights, it would always turn orange, caramel, or the another color i was not expecting and did not want. They were able to turn my hair blonde within a half hour and then dyed it dark red. It turned out amazing, beautiful, and just the way I wanted my hair to look like!!! Couldn’t ask for better service and I will definitely be returning in the future!! Highly recommend!
