I’m new to Florida so I needed to find a good doctor. My first impression walking in was positive. The front desk staff was extremely nice and professional. They are on top of their jobs. My impression of Dr. Midence, he is very friendly, extremely knowledgeable. Great sense of humor and a good listener. My exam went well and he explained everything he was doing and made me feel at ease the whole time. Great doctor! I’m keeping him!

Yesterday I spoke to a receptionist at Dr. Midences office about a new patient appointment. She asked me a couple questions and said she was the only person in the office answering calls and would call me later that day, she was nice and I understood needing to wait for a call. Today 10/15/21 when I called back I just spoke to a different receptionist at Dr. Midences office, she was abrupt, rude, and condescending to me. She really had a large chip on her shoulders. When I very calmly told her that she was not a nice person and was a complete turn around from the person yesterday she didnt have a care in the world. If this is how the office handles customer service and customer care, my wife and I will go elsewhere.I actually was getting on my laptop this morning to write another review but google will only allow me to edit it. Here is what I was going to write: After having the afternoon yesterday and sleeping on it about what took place yesterday I am still in astonishment that I was talked to yesterday as if I was some kind of child. This was so impressionable on me that I still cant believe that any Doctor would have this kind of rude and disrespectful receptionist greeting potential new patients. After looking back at older reviews it certainly seems like she has done this before to other patients.I sure hope Dr. Midence reads his google reviews and sees what is going on in his front office.The one lesson I learned from this is to get the persons name on the phone, I tried calling back to do that but got the run-around from a different receptionist and no caring from that receptionist when I said that I was just talked to so disrespectfully from the other one.I will try to have a better day today!

If you are looking for a caring, listening, professional doctor, Dr. Midence is the one for you. He has always treated my husband and i with the greatest concern and professionalism. His staff is courteous, kind and caring. One of the best doctors we have used in the Highlands County area. We thank God every day for being led to his wonderful care.

Dr. James Ruch, PA-C is very awesome. He is nice and shows a lot of compassion for his patients, which radiates from his personality, which many doctors have forgotten. He hears what you have to say, and in-turn, then evaluates you to try to tackle the issue you’re experiencing. I appreciate Dr. Ruch for helping me and know without a doubt he’ll take good care of you too.

Dr. Midence has been my primary care manager for over 10 years. Ive always had excellent care and service from Dr. Midence and his staff. I would highly recommend him as a personal physician or primary care manager.

Dr. Midence may be a good doctor but his office staff receives one star from me. I called for a new patient appointment early afternoon and was told someone would call me back to take my information and schedule an appointment. As I expected to be called back that day, I waited by the phone all afternoon but was not called back. I called the office at 10:30 the next morning to try again to make an appointment and was told by Heidi that she had my information and I would receive a call back when they had time to take my information, which would take 15 minutes. I waited the rest of that day and the day after (Friday) but did not receive a call back. If this office treats patients the way they treat people who are trying to become patients, I wouldn’t recommend them! I hope Dr . Midence doesn’t approve of this lack of care and concern for his patients (or potential patients).

Continual errors in perscriptions, scheduling, charting made me fearful of ever going back to this doctors office again.
