Ill definitely recommend Dr. Chris Wahl based on our excellent experience with him for my wifes ACL surgery. My wife broke her ACL during skiing in Jan., and after multiple comparison, we selected Dr. Wahl for the surgery. She had the surgery by 5/3/2019 and today is 6/3/2019, my wife can walk almost 90% as normal and can go upstairs/downstairs without holding handrail. Its really amazing! Originally we were very struggle on this surgery since we saw tons of videos online about how painful people experienced of the recovery, but finally we decided to take the risk and do the surgery. I would say its really worth to do the surgery instead of worry about the knees all the time. We entered OPA by 3pm at 5/3 and get prepared, Dr. Wahl come and did a quick brief with us on how the surgery will going, hes obviously just end previous surgery and its been a whole day for him to work but he still seems to be full of energy. Then by ~4pm my wife entered the surgery room, after 2 hours I saw her, shes weak due to anesthesia but she feels very good, she said she just fall into sleep then it feels only 5 min after she wake up and the surgery is done. In later days when we revisit Dr. Wahl we saw the surgery video, its only ~20 min in total, how efficient is him!! After I talked with nurse and got all the medicine, we went home, she took lots of sleep in 5/4 to rest. By 5/5, its just 2 days after surgery, shes able to walk for 5 yard outside of our house with crutch! I was so excited about the result. By 5/7, its the time we re-visit Dr. Wahl, my wife already can walk very long from parking slot to the building with crutch and feels very good, we even did dinner together outside to celebrate the great result! Oh, I almost forgot, Suzanne, Dr. Wahls wife & PA, is really nice and full of knowledge! She helped my wife to take out the bandage, and spend almost 2 hours with us to went through the whole surgery process and explain tons of details on PT and recover, we do appreciate her explain on everything to guide our future recover process. Then, its 5/8, day 5 after surgery, my wife can bend her leg to 90 degrees without huge pain! By 5/15, day 12 after surgery, she tried to walk without crutch and she made 10 yards! Really awesome! After that I dont have much things to write, its just getting better and better, until today which is just one month and shes like 90% a normal person! I would say thank you so much Dr. Wahl and Suzanne! Thank you for your great experience and amazing skills which made the surgery super successful! Thank you!

Dr Wahl and his assistant Suzanne are two incredible individuals who are very skilled at the work they do. Dr. Wahl was able to quickly diagnose an issue that I have been battling with for over a year. This diagnosis was missed by multiple doctors. I entrusted Dr. Wahl with his expert opinion on what the issue was. After multiple consultations and arthroscopic surgery I am excited to say that the pain has gone away and the issue has been resolved. Thank you to Dr.W Wahl and his team, they are truly the best in the business.

I tore my ACL, MCL, PCL and my meniscus. Dr. Wahl was transparent in his prognosis and uplifting with his trust in his team and his own work. It has been a decade and my knee is still working great and with little knee pain. It could not have gone any better and his team was helpful and knowledgable.

I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Wahl and his assistant Suzanne. In 2008 I saw them due to deterioration of the medial compartment of my knee. They carefully explained all my options and understood that I wanted to do whatever I could get running again. I had a high tibial osteotomy to straighten my leg so that my weight would be on the lateral compartment. The operation was a complete success and the follow up care was great. Three Moab Trail Marathons later I cant thank the Wahls enough. They are dedicated, skilled and very personable. Such a great team!

I was referred to Doc Wahl from another physician because my case was too complicated. Outcome involved a massive Oates graft behind my patella where the cartilage was completely worn out due to misalignment. Also preformed tibial osteotomy to realign my patella and prevent future damage. I was in pretty dire straights before the surgery. Could hardly walk and in extraordinary pain for months. 6 weeks out and I am chasing my 5 and 7 year olds again and starting to tackle a flight or two of stairs. The repaired knee feels brand new! Unbelievable what they can do these days. Should also mention that the Doctor, PA Suzanne, and Sophie are about the friendliest group you could find. Always spent plenty of time explaining processes, anticipated outcomes, and needs for rehab post-surgery. Hope I dont have to do my other knee but if I do I will definitely be going back to Doc Wahl.

Dr. Wahl and his team are amazing! I was referred to him in the spring of 2016, when I found out I had a fully torn ACL and torn medial meniscus. He was very easy to talk to, he explained the benefits of having surgery vs. not having surgery, pros/cons of different types of grafts for the ACL, explained the process, etc. I decided to have the surgery and to use my hamstring as the graft. Since I wanted to wait until after summer to have the procedure done, Dr. Wahl recommended physiotherapy to strengthen up the muscles around the knee so that I was as strong as possible before surgery. This was the best thing I couldve done - Im sure of it (I saw Laura Bannister at Avant Physical Therapy and shes so great, too)! I had surgery in September and everything went smoothly and better than I ever thought! I barely had any pain post-surgery, was off crutches on day 2, off the opioid pain meds on day 3 and in post-surgery PT on day 5. Ive been told that the lack of pain was likely because Dr. Wahl and his team were extremely gentle and careful during surgery (and probably a little because of my high pain tolerance). I had heard horror stories from others about using your own graft because your body would be trying to heal in multiple places, but I honestly could barely tell where the hamstring tendon was taken from. Im certain this was due to the pre-hab Id done and Dr. Wahls skills. Every post-op appointment has been awesome and Ive been ahead of the recovery curve each time. Im now 10 months post-surgery and feel stronger than ever. My activity levels are back to where they were pre-injury and having the ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair were the best decisions Ive made. I love seeing Dr. Wahl, Suzanne and Sophie at each appointment - theyve really been so great to work with and Id recommend them to anyone looking for a physician!

I recently had pain and restricted movement in my left shoulder. This had been ongoing and getting worse. I had a vacation coming and was worried about being able to surf and swim. After being referred, I made an appointment with Dr. Wahl. He quickly diagnosed my problem as adhesive capsulitis. He then discussed the treatment options and recommended a cortisone shot. After a few days I improved as he had described. This was a simple case that could have resulted in a lot of imaging or even surgery. Dr. Wahls conservative approach led to the right outcome and had minimal impact on the precious resource that is our healthcare system.

My son had a potential life threatening complicated knee injury last December while away at college. Dr. Wahl and his team were absolutely amazing. Before my son saw Dr. Wahl he developed silent blood clots in his calves below the injured knee that other doctors did not test for where my son was staying and should of. Blood clots can be life threatening if undetected. Dr. Wahl was concerned with this type of injury and referred him immediately. He saw a vascular doctor right away and was treated successfully. The knee surgery went very well as did the followup. He is very thorough and caring. So thankful for Dr. Wahl and his team.

I presented to Dr. Wahl with a massive rotator cuff tear. Dr. Wahl successfully performed an arthroscopic repair of my supraspinatous, infraspinatous and subscapularis tendons, and I am now back to full activity and full strength. Dr Wahl and his clinical team took great care of me in a very professional, empathetic and caring manner. I am very grateful to Dr. Wahl and would highly recommend him to anyone with an athletic/sports related injury.

Dr. Wahl did arthroscopy surgery on my shoulder with disastrous result, and later he sent me to an other surgeon to perform open surgery to repair the damage he did to my shoulder. However, I never regained full function of my shoulder.
