I accompany my brother to all his medical appointments, as he has early onset of vascular dementia. He has had three visits with Dr. Hoy, who has been very patient and thorough with the treatment he provides. He listens to his patient and explains what he is doing during the appointment. H e asks the patient whether he understands and if he has any questions or concerns. He is clear about follow up appointments and treatment. My brother always remarks that Dr. Hoy knows what is doing.

My first visit with Dr. Hoy was so much more than I even expected. As my new Podiatrist, the exam and attention to my feet was excellent and when we discussed two other medical issues I was dealing with on my legs, he was also able to treat those and teach me more to address those problems on my own. His extensive medical training has also been in other specialities and he has some years of experience in those too.So I was very impressed by Dr. Hoys depth of knowledge and experience and look forward to our ongoing treatment plan.Of course, I should also compliment Ava, his office administrator. They have an efficient system and she is excellent and so friendly too.Dr Hoy and Ava are truly 5 star.

All the other podiatrists were booking >10 days out, but Ava & Dr. Hoy were able to accommodate me on the same day as I was in a lot of pain. He was quick & efficient in diagnosing my problem and had me on my way! I had some follow up questions online which he helped me with promptly. The office was clean and had good airflow from open windows, which helped me feel safe from Covid-19.

Had a great experience all around with this spot. I had a long-term problem that I knew would need a minor surgery to fix, made a next-day appointment, and Dr. Hoy took care of it in around an hour the next morning. Lifetime discomfort taken care of just like that. Dr. Hoy was super professional and easy-going, and Ava at the front desk was also professional and thorough with check-in, check-out, billing, insurance, etc. I really appreciated that she explained everything she was doing or reviewing related to insurance, as usually offices arent transparent about it. I also had a post-op appointment a few days later and had an identically great experience. Love this place, will go back with any future foot problems.

Dr. Hoy is great! I like his old school office vibe. I came in for a problem with my toe, and he was able to take care of it right away. He did a good job chatting to distract me during the procedure, which is important to me! The operation with paperwork and the receptionist is, uhh, interesting to say the least! But it was fine and everyone was friendly!

Dr. Hoy is seriously awesome and knows his stuff. I was able to go in and get my toenail taken care of within an hour. He is also really good at taking the time to make sure everything looks good around your foot to make sure you are healthy and ready to run around like when you were a kid.

I am from out of town, I emailed this office to see if they performed this certain procedure I got a response from Ava medical administrative assistant who has no customer service skills she said she is not familiar with the procedure she said if I wanted to make an appointment the consult is 200.00. What if I schedule this consult and its a procedure the Dr does not do? It would be a waste of everyone time and my money. I then again asked her if that is a procedure the Dr does she said I need a new patient appointment. I too work at a medical office and I would never give anyone unclear information.

Exceptionally friendly service, Ava and Dr. Hoy answered every question I had and made me feel incredibly informed. Plus, having such a quick and easy way to reserve appointments online was just icing on the cake!

Entering Dr. Hoys office is a bit of a surreal experience. As you enter, you are immediately transported to yesteryear - 70s? 80s? Its unclear, but the dim lights and decor put you back in the past.Ava, while a bit disorganized, does a good job welcoming new patients and keeping things moving. She was dealing with several patients at once when I was there, but she did a good job of making each feel welcome and important.Dr. Hoys exam room is just as youd expect a podiatrists to be: well-kept, sanitary, and adorned with various diagrams of the foot. He was welcoming and listened well to the concerns I presented. I especially liked that I was able to write down my problem before I came in and he addressed them efficiently. I was diagnosed with a much different problem than I had been given before, and Dr. Hoy explained his simple, methodical method for his diagnosis as we went. I felt extremely cared for and like I will be able to make progress on my problem before I see him again.Definitely see Dr. Hoy if youve had problems seeing a general practitioner or orthopedist with no luck. It may be that you need a more specialized opinion.

After going to the Foot & Ankle Center and not liking the distance I had to travel for appointments there, I decided to give Dr Hoy a try as his office was much closer to my work. Dr Hoy definitely has a different, more old school approach than the Foot & Ankle Center but the service here was great and he solved my foot issues with custom orthotics and stretching and exercise recommendations. If youre looking for a foot doctor downtown, I highly recommend Dr Hoy, hes great!

It took me several tries just go get someone from their office to respond to my request for an appointment, and then after the ridiculously long phone call to schedule the appointment and all the time it took me to fill out the several pages of new patient forms which they asked me to FAX them, I find out that theyve cancelled my appointment a week before. Thanks SO much for wasting my time, Ill be looking for another podiatrist. I should have known not to bother with this office.

Had a really go experience, from my first call to the office (very helpful) to my visit with the Doctor. I felt valued, listened to, but more important, I felt like my broken foot was assessed and treated well. He explained a lot to me (funny cause from what I heard in the ER weeks earlier I thought it was broke in an entirely different place, and based on the pain, I thought that was odd, now it makes sense!). He gave me a much more usable boot (the other was a nightmare) and a good indication of what I can expect going forward. Would totally recommend!

Very efficient office staff and setup. Dr. Hoy did a thorough examination for my plantar fasciitis. He has a very pragmatic approach and had me buy some reasonably priced orthotics from Nordstrom in the building downstairs. I may come back at give 5 stars once my feet are completely healed :-). Cost was very reasonable--$125 for 30 min new patient visit.

After 9 months of treatment with no improvement, Dr wouldnt do a peer to peer call with insurance doc for an MRI request. My request got denied. He doesnt care about his patients. Avoid him if U can.

Finding a doctors office with not only a phenomenal doctor, but an awesome receptionist is nearly impossible these days. But thats exactly what I encountered at Dr. Hoys podiatry practice. I had come in for my 1:30pm Thursday appointment on Wednesday by mistake. When my mistake had been discovered by Ava, Dr. Hoys receptionist, she went to work to immediately to get me seen that day by doing some creative rescheduling, instead of having me come back all the way downtown the next day. I was warmly greeted by Dr. Hoy and was impressed by the number of diplomas and letters of thanks that hung on the wall. Dr. Hoy took the time to really listen to me and my concerns regarding the issue with my foot and did not make me suffer in pain needlessly while performing the necessary aspiration procedure. He really went out of his way to make sure I was sufficiently medicated and seated comfortably for the entire procedure, asking me repeatedly along the way if I was okay and if I needed to take a break. He talked me through the process, explaining everything he was doing as he was doing it, answering every one of my questions thoroughly, and making conversation with me to keep my mind off of what he was doing. His 18 years of experience shines through by way of his excellent bedside manner and professionalism.Generally speaking, I try to avoid going to the doctor because, it seems to me, that most doctors these days are not worried about the welfare of their patients, but more about the amount of money they can make. Let me assure you that Dr. Hoy DOES NOT fall into the latter category. I can say this with certainty due to the fact that I have Medicare, not private insurance, and because I was treated like someone who paid cash. Also, I rarely ever publicly post a review because I dont believe that most people deserve such sterling recommendations. But this is one that is definitely warranted. It is my opinion Dr. Hoys practice is what the standard should be judged by.Thank you, Ava and Dr. Hoy. For once, I can finally say, Im looking forward to my next appointment and really mean it.

Dr. Hoy was able to see me with a days notice. He immediately addressed my problem with a multi-step treatment plan, in addition to making sure I was set up to function correctly on a next-day vacation. He was patient and after a barrage of questions, repeated multiple times what other questions do you have for me?. Its nice, in a time when Dr./patient face time often feels rushed, to meet a Dr. who takes the time to listen to you and asks for your participation. Thank you, Dr. Hoy!

Expect long waits, even when waiting to be seen on the scheduled date/time.I was scheduled for a follow up appointment for today 1/13/17 at 9am. I walked in at 9:03am, checked in and I was told by the receptionist sorry, you were not here at 9:01am and we had to take the next patient. This patient arrived 10 minutes ago (8:53am) and she was scheduled for a 9:30am . Really? a patient scheduled for a 9:30am comes in 40 minutes prior to his/her appointment to sit around and wait?!?! I call it BS.It seems its ok for the Dr. Hoy and his team to have patients wait but not ok to wait 5 minutes for a patient to show up? Really? The lady in the front desk proceeded to tell me that she has always been instructed to WAIT ONE 1 MINUTE if a patient is running late.I will definitely will follow through not only with my insurance company but also with BBB.Way to treat your patients!PS- receipts from this office are detailed, therefore can be easily rejected by FSA administrators.

I found Dr. JOHN HOY very knowledgeable, passionate and willing to understand & cater to the needs of his patients during treatment. His staff is nice and welcoming with good customer service.I got a pimple like stuff on the outer side of my right foot, which I mistakenly thought to be a corn/callus for 2 months. When it started becoming painful and causing problems in walking for me, I went to Dr. John Hoys office which is close to my workplace in downtown. Dr. Hoy was quick to identify that it was a Wart and not any corn/callus. He answered all my questions pertaining to treatment and clearly told me the treatment options with timeline for each. I have been going to his office for treatment 3 times so far over past 1.5 months, and I am seeing lot of improvement & recovery in my foot by now.

Patient Beware! Poor communication, misleading charges and prescription of items not needed! Dr prescribes orthotics with quality and durability issues. My orthotics fell apart after a few months which resulted in aggravating my foot condition. They offered to fix them, but failed to mention that I would be charged for each visit to get the new ones to fit correctly. After two visits, they still dont fit properly and my only option it to pay to have them adjusted further. After some back and forth the Dr also decided I don’t even need the orthotics, so buying them was a full waste of time and money. My store bought orthotics were a lot less money, much more durable and comfortable, so i went back to using them. I dont feel this Dr truly cares about the care of his patients, just filling his pocket book with more $$$.

I have had 2 separate foot surgeries through Dr Hoy, and both times I felt very comfortable with the procedures Dr Hoy recommended. He is knowledgeable in his field, and takes time to listens to his patients concerns. I would highly recommend him for your foot needs!
