Molly Allison, her colleagues and staff have created a beautiful healing space. Molly works in a truly holistic way. Her skills include and go way beyond classic OT interventions as she offers a range of treatments that support healing on multiple levels. Shes creative in teaching patients ways to extend interventions with home exercises. I have been able to avoid hand surgery as a result of her treatments. If there were 10 stars, she would deserve them.

I have had chronic health problems for many years and have received therapy from multiple groups. There is nowhere that compares with Holistic Orthopedics. The skill, personal approach and environment are unique. The therapy I get there has been life changing. I wouldnt even consider going anywhere else.

Holistic Orthopedics creates a warm and nurturing environment where patients partner with practitioners to increase health, wellness and your connection to self. This is a very different experience from the other places I’ve had PT. It feels more like being welcomed into the home of a family member or close friend. I never feel rushed and always feel the practitioners are very present and attentive.

This is a review and a personal testimonial for Molly Alison, owner of Holistic Orthopedics. I have been a patient of Mrs. Alison for many years for a variety of sports-related injuries and life health situations. Molly has treated me for broken bones, torn/injured muscles and chronic tendinosis among other things. In every case, she was able to get me back to the level of activity I was once at prior to said issues. Here skill set and knowledge have a remarkable breadth only outdone by her bedside manner and hands-on experience. She is passionate about her work and her business. Her vision is grand and, as her name implies, holistic. Shes a student of her game, an educator, and a fabulous practitioner. In short, a healer. Besides being an amazing mother her life’s work is her business and all that it entails. She will never cease learning more about her craft because it drives her. I would without reservation recommend her wholeheartedly. You’ll be the lucky one if you can be seen by her.

My experience at Holistic Orthopedics could not have been better. Molly Allison is AWESOME and gives new meaning to treating the whole person. She is doing occupational therapy on my wrist, which is improving greatly. She is interesting, kind and creative in her approach to healing. The facility is in an older, artsy building that has tons of personality and feels spacious and comfortable--you are not squashed into a little sterile room dreading your appointment. There is beautiful art on the walls and a lot of pottery made by her husband. I always look forward to my appointments and will be sorry to see them end. I would give this facility and the work they do there more than 5 stars if I could!!

Karen helped me immensely through a trigger finger issue. I first sought out a hand therapist when my finger started painfully snapping shut on its own and Im really happy I found her. My finger is better now and no longer snaps. If you dont live nearby, its absolutely worth the drive. Kayla and the rest of the staff there are all really helpful too.

Karen, Molly, Kayla, Meredith and the entire Holistic Orthopedic team are a dream to work with. After an accidental injury that ultimately resulted in two surgeries - the Holistic Orthopedic team was with me every step of the way. Their approach to medicine and healing is truly holistic - often times I felt like I was going to a spa not OT. Karen was patient, consistent, and above all so kind to me. She went above and beyond and regularly check in on me via email when we went more than a few days without seeing each other. I truly believe that if it were not for the care I received at Holistic Orthopedics I would have not recovered so well. I cant recommend them enough!!

From the moment you walk in, the environment invites you to be comfortable and at peace. Along with that, there is little or no waiting for treatment. Regarding treatment, the hands-on structural occupational therapy used in tandem with Bowen made for deep-lasting results. I am forever grateful!

After a year with a traditiona physical therapist, and not getting satisfactory results, my doctor encouraged me to try Holistic Orthopedics. I have received excellent treatment and have been taught many useful exercises that continue the treatments at home. I highly recommend this amazing group of women for healing and education.

I first went to Holistic Orthopedics for a shooting pain in my hand and arm. This was addressed with clear understanding and the pain subsided. I learned that pain doesnt always originate where it hurts but somewhere in the intricate mesh of the bodys hidden resources. Each individual here has a specialty with subtle precision that can locate the cause of discomfort and ease you back into well being. The atmosphere is absolutely serene, upbeat, and all yours the moment you enter. Highly recommended. Dont hesitate.

Welcoming unpretentious helpful practice group from receptionists to providers. there is really something for everyone from traditional to energy work, i have been very impressed by the quality of care, and i have worked with more than one of the providers, they compliment each other and work together extremely well. even though i am living in south seattle, pick a midday appointment and traffic is not bad and worth the travel for the quality of care.

I have had a lovely, healing, and transformative experience at Holistic Orthopedics. The entire staff has made me feel seen, welcomed, and appreciated from my very first appointment onward. There is a sense that everyone on staff wishes for my healthiest well being rather than appearing busy and indifferent. More importantly, Molly, my therapist and the owner, listens so carefully and offers so many gentle but effective ways to manage my pain. She never rushes to be done or to fix the problem and models how we can help heal our own pain with a gentle, slow, consistent approach to self care. Amazingly, I was scheduled for hand surgery when I met Molly and she suggested I try working with her using gentle techniques before an invasive procedure like surgery. Thank goodness I took her advice because I have now cancelled surgery and found simple ways to manage my pain on my own using mindfulness, stretching, and cold/heat. I never thought this was an issue I had the power to solve on my own after seeing countless other healthcare providers. Thank you Holistic Orthopedics!

If you are serious about getting better, however serious your injury may be, go see Molly at Holistic Orthopedics. Nowhere else will you find someone as knowledgeable and/or as compassionate. Molly knows so much about the delicate interconnections within the body. She will *understandably* explain how an injury in one part of the body may be effecting a separate but connected part of the body. She gently encourages changing the way you eat or expelling bad habits to maximize your healing in a shorter length of time. She can see beyond the thing that may be directly causing your pain, and gives you actionable advice on how to change your lifestyle to truly get better! Every time I see Molly I get a little better and every time I can’t wait to see her again!

This clinic is amazing! The staff are all very friendly and will make you feel taken care of. Karen helped me recover from a car accident with bowenwork. When I came in I couldnt turn my head without pain in my neck, in only a couple months my pain was completely gone and hasnt returned (its been several months now). I felt improvement after each session and was given homework to improve my posture and tools to effectively reduce the pain I felt when turning my head. Im so thankful for this clinic and loved the atmosphere. Each of these women are amazing at what they do and I would go to them for any ailment I could.

About 2 months ago I fell off a ladder, head-first from 15’. Ambulance, ER, the whole bit. Broke my clavicle (into 4 pieces), broke 4 ribs and punctured my lung. I’ve been told by several doctors I was lucky I didn’t break my neck or suffer major spinal damage…and that quite frankly I’m lucky to be alive.Once surgery repaired my clavicle, I contacted Holistic Orthopedics for rehabilitation therapy. I’d previously worked with Karen on a frozen shoulder and had achieved remarkable results with Bowenworks in a few weeks. So I knew I was in good hands.Over the past couple months I’ve been going twice a week for a combination of Bowen treatments and physical therapy. The results, again, have been quite stunning. Range of motion, pain levels and sense of general well-being are all very good to excellent and I’m confident I’ll make a full recovery in relatively short order.Karen Sziel offers many gifts as a highly-skilled, knowledgable practitioner. With a solid understanding of physiology and psychology, she creates a supportive nurturing environment conducive to healing body and soul. Empathetic, pragmatic, an excellent conversationalist with a strong spiritual presence and a whimsical sense of humor; I always feel uplifted both physically and emotionally after each session.Holistic Orthopedics is located in North Seattle/South Shoreline with convenient free parking. Their office suite is palatial yet warm and inviting…a sanctuary of tranquility in the city. As support staff, Kayla and Meredith run the front office and provide a serenely-upbeat welcoming presence. I’m really grateful for this place and would highly recommend it others.

I cant understand why there arent more reviews for this amazing business. I have been suffering for a decade with chronic pain due to a car accident; and have tried everything including numerous physical therapists, acupuncture, chiropractic adjustments, nerve block surgery, steroid injection in my spine, trigger point therapy, and maybe a few others I cant remember - all to various degrees of temporary relief. From the first time I interacted with the office personnel, I felt I was being listened to as a patient with unique needs, not just another annoying person calling to ask questions. Since I have pretty much been under care for the majority of 10 years, I ask some pretty comprehensive questions when I call a new practitioner as Im often in too much pain to want to waste time seeing a practitioner who will not be able to help. The office staff were very patient, answered all my questions, answered some I didnt have, and really made feel me listened to. Then she told me Molly, the owner, solves problems people have had for years - which sounds great, but hey Im sure they know how to market themselves, right? I decided to make an appointment anyway, admittedly skeptical it was going to help - just because of my history I was nearly resolved to be in pain for the remainder of my life. Then, I met Molly and was treated by her. She has to be the most patient, diligent, soothing person I have ever met. Her demeanor immediately puts you at ease. Her appointments can be 1.5 hours instead of the standard 1 hour, which really gives her time to not just perform an assessment and do manual work, but also talk, as she believes it takes more than just exercises to weave through the complex web of pain. She came up with suggestions for just how I walk that immediately forced me to move muscles that had gone dormant. Her hands worked their magic in ways the multitude of other practitioners never did - hard to explain, but I feel the other practitioners worked on my muscles in a static state, but she worked on them while you were moving them, which I think triggered my muscles to let go of the memory and release their spasm state. Then rather than giving you monotonous exercises to do each evening, she accepts people get bored and dont always do them, so she gives you way to move your body during your day to day activities that helps achieve the goal without becoming mundane.I returned for the 2nd appointment two weeks later feeling lighter than I had in years. Its now after my 2nd appointment and I feel the spasms have released in other parts of my back. I really feel a few more sessions with her and I will be done. It is some sort of miracle, so I wanted to share it here with the hope others get the pain relief I have gotten from seeing Molly. I was resolved to never feel normal again, but Im back! I went for a walk before work this morning - first time I have walked for no reason in years; and it was lovely out there!

Sometimes an OT is so good, you follow them when they switch their employment. Karen is that good. I have a rare genetic disorder called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. Lets just say it makes me an extraordinarily complicated patient. I literally get hurt sleeping. Karen has always taken great care to ensure I dont get hurt during treatment. Whether its proper positioning or keeping me warm, shes attentive to my needs. Her Bowenwork treatments, combined with myofascial massage have helped me in so many ways. My muscle spasms are reduce by half and I feel unwound after each visit. As a testament to her caring nature, when she recognized my need for lower limb attention, she recommended me to her colleague Jen. Karen specializes in upper body ares like the hands and arms. But due to the global nature of my condition, Jen was a piece to my treatment that I was missing because she treats the lower body, as well as upper body to ensure a holistic approach. Jen has incredible knowledge of the body, and also exercises great caution during positioning to ensure my safe treatment. Jen carefully explains the patterns of movement that are causing the pain, which is rather complicated given my many overlapping sources.I am lucky to have found them. Karen and Jen are invaluable members of my medical team. To top it off the office staff are wonderful, and handle all of my e-mails and phone calls in a caring, kind, and prompt manner. Id highly recommend them to any zebra, or any person seeking pain reduction. In fact, my close friend has just started treatment last week, and my husband is planning to establish treatment soon.

Working with Jennifer on posture and Bowen work has greatly reduced the frequency and severity of my migraines and tinnitus from 4-5 times per week to one every other week. If you know you have bad posture but are not sure what to do to correct it, this is the place you need to go.
