I spent over a year living here at the William Booth center, it is a salvation army homeless shelter. They provide clean, safe and healthy living space for the homeless men. If you are a u.s military veteran such as I am, they have a program that is tied in with the veterans administration that pays for your stay for up to 2 years and helps you obtain proper living quarters such as a apartment or a room in a group home setting, everyones situation is different, thanks to a few of the hardworking staff there,, I was able to obtain a very nice brand new studio apartment.

Amazing long term mens shelter that helps veterans and non veterans establish housing whether through vouchers or low income apartments. They also help with any documents you need such as ID, birth certificates, DD214’s etc. They also support anyone that works so they can save up for a place. There is a TLP (transitional living program) on the 2nd and 3rd floors which are single rooms that you pay 30% of your income to stay in and you can live there for 1yr. A case manager is assigned to them and helps them transition into housing. If you need rehab they can help get you into one. It is a low barrier shelter so you do not have to be clean and sober to stay there you just cannot have any drugs/alcohol/paraphernalia on the property. The goal is to get those struggling with addiction help with rehab

Transitional housing for (former) homeless. Building is well-maintained, but shows its age. WiFi available, but frequently drops out for several seconds.

Lost a lot of health, medications, blood, and respect for an organization that I thought helped all people equally. Lot of older, sicker, and harder working men getting skipped over for help because some female feels they are less than.

Mens shelter serving a variety of adults with a bed and three meals a day. The staff is friendly and very polite considering some of the situations I have witnessed them having to deal with. Its a warm dry place to sleep and eat. Its safe for the most part and much better then living outside. Laundry is free and the staff even has laundry soap available. Its not a place I chose to be but Im grateful for its existence and I look forward to moving forward.

William Booth Center is a housing for homeless or transitioning board. Well cleaned, bunk beds for beds, wake up calls if needed and hot food three times a day with coffee or milk. A place for hot showers an laundry. Keep in mind facilitys are only aloud to residents of the William Booth Center. The staff is really nice and inviting but be as it may, stern on the facility rules.

This was one of the worst experiences in terms of being at a shelter. I was experiencing a crisis and instead of offering aid I was offered the door. They take their best examples and make them employees who lack mental healthcare training and yet act as a front line to many people with substance abuse or mental healthcare challenges. Some of the most angry people that I have frankly ever run into in three states and they do that to see how you respond - I get it. I didnt take the bait. Its just not required to get a cup of water.

A homeless shelter for down and out people, they fill a need in the community and provide a clean, safe place to sleep and also provide 3 meals a day and extremely hot showers. Staff are available for questions and they also provide information regarding other programs or services that can help you overcome whatever your circumstances may be.

Better than jail living,so Ive been told. Close to it with the lights out at 10pm and curfew at 11pm. Food is bad and makes people sick. The place smells like unwashed feet and with no real air conditioner or circulation in the main dorm of a 127 men, sleeping in bunk beds is not fun. Toilets are a disaster along with urinals overflowing. You would think that this place is ran as a non for profit and is given food by donations and by the state.2.any one that works and receive a pay check once or twice a month, hast to pay a program fee of 30% of what you make. If you have bills, or in collections, child support.they dont care about that, they want your money. Not because they want you to be drug and alcohol free,no there are men that are on Meth and weed and drunk to falling over here all the time. Medic 1 is here 2 to 3 times a week for O Ds and falls do to Meth and drunks. The fights here are really bad also. The fact that you can get robbed by the ones you live with and the ones provide the place you live in. Stay out of here, STAY AS FARE AWAY AS POSSIBLE FROM HERE. IF ANY ONE TELLS YOU THIS IS A GOOD PLACE FOR YOU, RUN. DO NOT COME HERE AT ALL. YOU WILL TRULY THANK YOURSELF IN THE END BY NOT STAYING HERE.Dont get caught in the lie.

Terrible. Had hundreds of dollars in Bluetooth speakess, phones and assorted other valuable items stolen from me while I was in the VTP section of William Booth. Also the place is great for aquiring Bird Flue and other fun viruses. Bathrooms are disgusting as are living quarters for rent paying residents. The case management is a joke 😂 and if you are attacked by another resident and you decide to report to staff make sure that you arent white. Also be certain that you have your wallet on you at the time because it will be emptied of the entire cash contents that you did have. Also expect to be thrown out of William Booth after you get victimized by the attacker who will have no problems remaining as a resident after he robbed you and attacked you. Meanwhile you are now back on the street after paying them five months rent on time every month . SMH....loserville USA. Dont do it!

Case managers are a joke. I get more help from a 2 yr old child then my case manager. It got so bad my vet liason had to take over. The program manager is just as bad. Having more than 10 to 20 case managers come and go since I been there. Vets stay away. Then the water in the changes from like scallying hot water with no warning. Then the major is like a 2 yr old. He took from the homeless from having coffee all day. But his staff gets free coffee that has been donated for the homeless. If he thinks we dont volenteer which is free labor like slaves he takes tv and other things away. The food and the cooks are a joke. If you like dog food then its good. They cant even cook rice.
