I love this place.. my dad lives here. The staff is friendly and helpful and they have lots of things for the people who live here, such as prepared meals and activities and all kinds of fun stuff.

My grandmother has lived here for nearly 20 years. Its in convenient location to anywhere in Seattle, within walking distance if you can manage hills. The whole building has had renovations within the last year that have modernized the interior, the windows were all replaced several years ago and are really nice. The building is fairly secure with security doors and cameras. Small pets are allowed, the views can be spectacular and very near some of the best medical this side of the country. 2 elevators, laundry in the basement, reading library, activity room for movies and soirees, dinner available every night, its got a lot going for it. I dont think I know a single resident that isnt glad to be there and Ive met many of them.

Housing for the elderly (63+). Daily supper and activities. Staff is amazing. Residents are accounted for daily. Not supported housing or nursing care.

Really dislike this place as hard as they try. There no help in setting up for classes or even scheduling for them.

I lived in this place from april 2012 thru april 2013. when i moved in i signed a 12 month lease with the administrator and proceeded to buy approx. $2,000 worth of furnishings for the apt. ( stereo, tv, bed etc.). within 2 weeks of moving in i was told by the administrator that i would have to pay $47 more per mo. than had been agreed to on the lease. definetely bait and switch. Darla obrien - the administrator - arrogantly and adamantly insisted --INSISTED -- that she had the right to ignore and cancel the lease if hilltop house needed more revenue. she also stated that she had been doing this for the 14 years she had been administrator. i had to contact the Inspector Generals fraud and abuse hotline for HUD to stop her from implementing this illegal action. i stayed the 1 year term of my lease because i wanted to get some use from all the new furniture i had bought ,because i liked the apt. i had rented.and because i was convinced that if i left before the end of the term of my lease she would keep my security deposit! i would have stayed for years if it wasnt for the dishonest administrative staff. it wasnt only obrien but the service coordinator and office assistant who supported her in attempting to cancel the lease and get more money from me. Also, these people had very little respect for privacy. the maintainence people would knock on my door for various issues and i was expected to let them in. it did not matter if i was taking a nap, in the shower, on the pot or whatever. once i was taking a nap and the worker wanted in. i told him to come back the next day. the next day i got a note from obrien stating that i was REQUIRED to let workers in when they wanted. in the 1 year i was at this place the workers requested entry numerous times with various excuses. the one time i denied them entry i got the notice. the repeated requests for entry were just harassment with orders from the administrative staff who never forgave me for calling HUD on them!there is very little oversight of this place. while there is a board of directors they are all very good friends of obrien and have given her complete control of the place with the result that she treats it as her own little fiefdom. if they havent done anything about her in 14 years theyre not going to. i of course recommend that you seek another retirement home that has some integrity and does not try to rip-off the residents like they tried with me. i will be 71 years old in a few months and i am now in a place where the staff is respectful and honest. my honest opinion (which is what ive given you so far) is that if you buy into this place your an idiot!!!
