Their services are top notch, I have had NUMEROUS TIMES I NEEDED HELP AND GUESS WHAT!? RECOVERY PLACE SEATTLE HAD MY BACKFrom there upper management to their R.S. staff, Ive had very few(minimal) complaints. Honestly nothing worth mentioning. If you want your life back, this facility helps and goes above and beyond. Ive had the pleasure of having both Patrick and Kai as counselors and they dont come to work to simply get a paycheck. No, they genuinely care and it shows EVERYDAY! THEY offer resources that made recovery so much easier a transition and words cant do justice the level of gratitude this place has.AINT NO TREATMENT CENTER BETTER THAN RPS!

My counselor was amazing. They got me into detox fast, and made sure I had a bed upstairs. Chris worked closely with me. Helped me address my issues and made sure that I was going to be capable of continuing long term recovery once I was discharged. They were the first and BIGGEST stepping stone for me to be well on my way to building a new life for myself. Thank you so much to them all.

My best friend is currently being held here against her will. She is not even an American, she was passing through Seattle on her return flight home to Canada, and she was detained by airport security and escorted off the plane because she took too long in the bathroom doing her makeup and someone had reported her for “trying to commit suicide” in the bathroom. She was transferred to this horrible hospital and has been stuck there with no rights, no phone, no ability to contact any of her friends and family for a week while they rack up her medical bills knowing she has NO insurance (much less travel insurance). This hospital and all the staff inside of it are making her go crazy. We are spending every minute of every day talking to attorneys, doctors, hospital staff, anybody who can release her; but we have no luck. They will not even let her own mother release her. She has been ABUSED in this hospital, and upon her release and her entry back to Canada, we are going public about this story as we have documented everything that has happened to her here.

Do not go to this facility. In the few days I spent within and engaging with this facility between 10/14/2020-10/20/2020 I was the victim of crimes and negligence committed by multiple members of the faculty. There are zero Covid-19 precautions or preventative measures being taken. The staff tolerates violent hate speech and will not assist you when you bring up immediate physical and mental safety concerns. Checking of physical persons and belongings do not happen at this facility and it is not a safe or secure facility to receive help with either substance use disorders or mental health care. After discharging myself early due to safety concerns and lack of support from all of the staff I interacted with, I returned to access my medical property and fill out Release of Information paperwork to get into another inpatient program, and was blatantly denied help by every staff member I interacted with and my HIPAA rights were criminally violated. I was denied access to my SUD assessment and all other medical paperwork that would allow me to get into another treatment facility. This put a six week gap of time in-between me being able to access adequate health care which is an immediate liability and threat to my life.To the people who need help with substance abuse and are desperately seeking for the first available bed, I urge you all to do your research into this facility before making that decision. I am permanently scarred from this experience and I am also extremely blessed that it was not my last chance at life. For most of whom I met there, it was. I know without a shadow of a doubt that those people still deserve more than what they are getting there. I mean this with the deepest sincerity, for the people who are at their last resort, taking their last shot at life : this institution is a death sentence. It is also a Coronavirus outbreak waiting to happen. Even the people who are living at their lowest point and desperately grasping for another chance at life; these people still deserve dignity, safety and respect. Those basic fundamental human rights are not accessible at Recovery Place Seattle on Beacon Hill. I will not stop reaching out for help until this facility is held accountable for their crimes and malpractice. If you are reading this, I urge you to prevent further trauma and distress upon yourself and avoid seeking help at this very broken, corrupt and dysfunctional establishment at all costs.

I did not attend here but am speaking for somone who did. This facility and its staff did not do what they promised, contractually or morally, which is to keep the person in recovery relatively comfortable. They are super strict about when youre supposed to arrive, usually in the middle of rush-hour traffic, but then they will also bring people in in the middle of the night with no warning disturbing what little sleep is to be had. Food is blah, no black out period to stave off access to substances, open and unfettered access to a telephone. I am starting to believe the reviews about the unusually high turnover rate for patients, it makes sense if they get paid for the persons entire stay no matter when they leave, they actually make money if person fails or not so having open access to phones and not comfortably treating the client would cause abnormally high turnover while cutting the cost of caring for patients. Seems like this is Criminal if not morally wrong.

Complete waste of time. I was feeling optimistic after seeing a couple providers here, and getting counseling. The psych prescriber I saw was HORRIBLE, they didnt even treat me like a human being. The appointment was rushed, they didnt even give me the opportunity to answer questions fully, and they refused to fill out paperwork essential to me getting assistance. They didnt even listen or seem to care about what I said and they basically did the minimum, I advise anyone suffering from mental health or substance abuse issues to stay far away from this provider, their behavior disgusted me. I waited two whole weeks to get help, and they completely wasted my time, I was literally shaking with anger after getting rushed out of their office. I cant believe certain people are allowed to practice medicine. I felt judged, rushed and patronized, I will probably never go back here again. You would think that people who practice medicine would have some degree of compassion for others, and WANT to help, and yet there are still providers out there that for some reason just are in it for the money, so they can drive nice cars and live in expensive condos, pathetic if you ask me. This person I saw had the personality of a type A, narcissistic stockbroker, and yet they practice medicine?? Tell me how that works. Anyone needing psychiatric or substance abuse care, look elsewhere before you consider going here.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience here. I spent 6 days detoxing from alcohol after a month long excessive binge drinking, which was a relapse from 18 months sober. The staff was incredibly kind, caring, attentive, and supportive. They offer things like puzzles and games for people who cant sleep because some drug/alcoholics stay up all night in their using life (me). As for the person complaining about letting people come in at night and disturbing the patients already there, the patients are rushed there at night because some of us had to go to the ER first to get our fluids and vitals, then wait for the ER to set us up with the facility. I went there in the middle of the night (1am) and am so glad I could get in as soon as possible because otherwise, Im afraid I would have just given up and went back home to drink.Thank you SO much Valley Cities for getting me back on track. I am so grateful

Avoid at all costs. Takes weeks to make appointments and counselors as well as nurses are terrible. Took over 2 months just to get assigned to one.
