Ive been going to Leo for about a year now and am always impressed by his professionalism, knowledge of the body, skill, and his ability to listen to what I need and create rapport. His background gives him a unique perspective and provides a safe and relaxing environment that I have never experienced before from male therapists. Plus, he knows I hate hearing typical massage flute music and always finds, new to me, music that adds another layer of awesome to my experience there with him. I would highly recommend him!

An absolute pro! Peaceful, comfortable environment. I’m a new mom at over 40 and Leo has figured out solutions to my difficult muscle and fascia issues. He spent time researching before my first appointment. He checks in regularly during about pressure, position, and temperature. He even checks how things are going after the appointment. I was looking for a massage that’s much better than someone going through their usual routine; sometimes the focus needs to be 50% one area just to get to the root of the issue so you can function and find restful sleep again.Thank you Leo!!

Because of a friends referral to Modern Massage, I have become a regular client. I used to think of massage as an indulgence instead of as self care . We all definitely could use a little more self care and Modern Massage is definitely the place to do this!Again and again I have had fantastic massages by Leo that responded to all of the areas that were bothering me. Since our first session, he has worked with my body in a compassionate and intuitive manner. Ive dealt with injuries ranging from lower back pain issues to stressed muscles from work, and old injuries that have flared up. Leo strives to deal with each problem, creates a plan to work out the issues over time and offer suggestions for aftercare. He has even gone out of his way to research more about the issue and send me links to exercises and helpful preventative tips.Leo is extremely talented but also friendly, professional, empathetic, and skilled at working with complex issues. And, I have always left in a better place with very little soreness afterwards.Something I appreciate about Leo is that he is extremely attentive during the entire process- before, during and after the massage. He constantly checks in about how I am feeling, and will adjust the pressure or technique accordingly. Leo LISTENS, is engaged and aware of my reactions to pressure and adjusts constantly. He is also great with time management; while I am on the table he will let me know how much time is left and even offer options of other areas and let me choose. Ive never experienced that before with other massage therapists. Im used to going in, stating my issue and having it worked on in a specific area. Whats nice is Leo will absolutely focus on the problem areas, but will also offer full body or other options depending on the time and thats nice to be aware of. Of course, if during the massage, other issues arise that I hadnt been aware of, Im happy to let Leo take care of those too! There is a nice sense of balance to the sessions. The massage and body work are relaxing but he also makes a point of including me ( client) in the decision making process every step of the way.A nice complimentary add-on ( completely optional) are the hot towels Leo offers to put on your back. Do not turn this one down-- It is AMAZING! I love this treatment and it feels like I am being wrapped up in a warm blanket, thus promoting even more relaxation.The space is welcoming, calming, clean and organized with tasteful, minimal design and a great selection of music.It always feels like a fully integrated experience when I leave. I feel relaxed, cared for and nurtured. I am truly humbled and grateful for the energy he has for this work.Highly reccommend!!!!

Ive been receiving massage for over 30 years and am a firm believer in maintenance massage as a key part of healthy skeletal and muscle function. Its hard to find a good therapist, but Ive found one in Leo. Each session he asks for specifics on how Im feeling and which parts need attention. Ive never felt like just a number or that hes just going through the motions and performing the same massage over and over. Leo is constantly updating his training with new techniques and even went out of his way to take a class to learn about frozen shoulder, which is something I have. I cant say enough about his attention to detail. Ive been seeing him for over a year now. You cant go wrong with booking an appointment with him. I highly recommend.
