This summer my daughter received medical care at both campuses and I will thank them for the care and attention they were given by the doctors, nurses and staff. I cannot understand how such a professional medical facility can have such a poor billing department. I have inquired multiple times concerning the balance and their record updates as I have paid my bills on time and in full EACH TIME! Yet, I receive overdue notices. I guess that is why there is option on their phone message that says if calling from an attorneys office press.... I warn anyone who seeks care at this facility to keep all bank records and billing information due to the unprofessional and highly suspicious billing procedures this facility keeps. I rate the medical care high, but the billing department poor.

You would think that a Medical center would be accessible. In the case of Swedish Medical Center Cherry Hill, you would be wrong. There are no handicap stalls in the parking lot. The door FROM the lot does not have an automatic opening device, is heavy and right in the pathway of cars. Maneuvering a wheelchair through it is a challenge. Once inside the structure, you discover that the elevators are only big enough for a wheelchair and the person pushing it. I suspect that the entire thing is not ADA compliant. AVOID this place unless you are young, physically healthy and do not have anyone (child or elder) who might face challenges.

We are currently having issues with Dr. Shaikh in the palliative care group. We have insisted that we would like to keep our loved one Gabriela Gladwell on the ventilator (she has a small chance for some form of recovery), since her heart, and brain are 100% and her lungs are still pushing through. Dr. Shaikh insists that he is not pushing an agenda to cut her off, yet he keeps pushing to disconnect her. A little empathy from the hospital my sister admired would be great. She’s had her cough for over a year and was not diagnosed for her lung cancer, by Dr. Ellis (who has not met with the family). This same doctor has been treating her for breast cancer over the last several years (about 5). All we ask is for these doctors to have sympathy for our sister who’s a 49 year old mother with two younger daughters (one under the age of 18). If anyone reads this and can assist us, please do. Our family would greatly appreciate a helping hand.

Please listen to all warnings here and STAY CLEAR. I have some of the best health insurance in the world. However, the medical center is refusing to do their coding in a way that reflects what can be done for insurance to pay out. For one ~20 minute visit I had, I am forced to pay $847, for which they are unable to put in their system in a way which allows insurance to be billed. I was even on a three-way call with my insurance and swedish, and it did not get anything resolved.I am convinced this entire company is a scam, predatory, does not care about you, and just wants your money. Please avoid at all costs. I cannot put into words how extremely frustrated and angry this experience has made me.

I wish I could give a zero star. Their billing office was incapable of communicating with my insurance company to have my bill reflect my insurances portion to be paid, to the point were I had to do a three way call with my insurance and themselves. After a year of no contact since the three way call I found out they had sent me to collections. Please retrain your staff how to properly handle billing and your patients for that matter.

My wife had gallbladder surgery at Swedish Cherry Hill in Seattle this past October 25th, 2019. Her mother brought her and I later arrived after work. I had plenty of time to visit my wife before she went into surgery so I headed to the small appointment check-in desk to the right after you’ve entered through the front doors. I was greeted by a very friendly individual named Paul. Paul got me signed in and asked to give him a few minutes and he would take me up to my wife’s pre-op area (there was some elevators out of service so the path wasn’t as direct as before apparently). Paul was such a nice man. He brought me up to my wife and let me know that he would be back down in the waiting area/lobby if I had any further questions when my wife was having her procedure. While waiting for my wife’s surgery to be completed, Paul explained the patient status reader board to me and made time to keep me and others waiting informed. After surgery, I was given a call by the doctor who gave me my wife’s post-op room #. Again, Paul was gracious in offering to take me there on his own time AFTER his shift had ended rather than I getting lost. He wished us both a good night and a speedy recovery to my wife. Paul was just amazing and went above and beyond. I didn’t get Paul’s last name, but his commitment to serving patients and families should not go unnoticed. Thank you, Paul!

I am only giving one star because I am forced to as ZERO was not an option. The billing department is running a racket and it borders on just short of a scam. They have a coding system but cannot nor will not divulge why certain visits get coded a certain way even though the code corresponds directly to the bill. I was billed $452 for a Office New Level 4 and the explanation given was the doctor said it was a serious conversation that needed his (Dr. Troy Henning btw) attention. I was NOT in extreme pain so I am not sure how an elbow issue warrants this code and worse how 10 minutes equals this amount, which is the net amount AFTER insurance and my co-pay. I would not recommend this hospital or Doctor to my worst enemy.

The Swedish phone system is a nightmare. Try to make an appointment and you will be on hold until hell freezes over. I was getting dressed after an xray today and I could hear the patient in the next room complaining bitterly about trying to get through to someone after being called by a nurse who said he needed to set up an appointment. The hospital hallways are decked out with fine art but Swedish management leaves sick people sitting by their phones.
