I visited Dr. Beshlian 2 1/2 weeks ago because my right hand middle finger and thumb were not bending or working, I had extreme pain with literally no bending or mobility with the hand (I was pretty much one handed). After 45 minutes of meeting this incredibly empathetic competent doctor she recommended a procedure which was done within this time frame. Fast forward to the next day, I was replacing the deck on my daughters patio and up to today full mobility with no pain. What a pleasant professional with excellent humanity skills and competency. Many thanks to doctor Beshlian and her staff!

Beshlian review – I had surgery about ten years ago to re-attach a severed tendon in my thumb and I used Beshlian as my surgeon. Even in the beginning I was a little concerned since she made me get a physical before the actual surgery and that took over a week to accomplish. My concern was that the tendon might shrink during that period and I might not recover the full use of my thumb and I kinda like having a working thumb. But I gave her the benefit of the doubt and did what I was told.Another thing that put me off a bit was that she seemed to be rather curt and wasn’t very communicative but I ignored those signs too. (Since then I’ve seen one of her reviews and I would have to agree – her bedside manner was terrible and, as it turned out, her surgery skills left something to be desired.Since I had healed a bit in the 7 – 10 days that it took to get that physical and schedule the operation, when the surgery was done she had to split my thumb open a bit to get to the tendon in order to re-attach it. After the surgery I was sent to a rehab clinic since I was going to have to stretch the tendon and I dutifully did my exercises for weeks and weeks and suffered through a series of prosthetics during that time.At one point the stitches and surgical incisions were opening so that set me back a few weeks and I couldn’t do all the exercises that I would have liked to since I was in danger of tearing everything open. During that time I received no advice from Beshlian or her office. In fact, the only thing I got was grief when I asked what some of the billed charges were for and someone in her office distinguished herself as a pain in the rump with her attitude and abrasive manner. I finally contacted Beshlian to tell her so but nothing much came of that.I won’t bore you with my saga of months of rehab and almost ten years of living with the results of my surgery but the bottom line is that my thumb looks misshapen to this day, I have no more than 50% of the mobility that I should have and I’ve come to understand that this should have been a simple surgery with a better result than I ever achieved. So my advice to you would be to keep looking and find another surgeon.

Dr. Sara Beshlian is literally the worst doctor I have had the displeasure of meeting. She is extremely confrontational, argumentative, aggressive, and she almost totally refuses to listen to her patients. Her extreme hubris is the hallmark of a truly unprofessional physician.

Best hand surgery I could have hoped for!

I got knee injections instead of knee replacement. I went there for replacing, she convinced me there are less invasive ways.
