It’s the same BS other medical providers use in Seattle although I’m sure it’s nationwide if not worldwide. My guess is it’s one of the early classes in med school.I dropped my sister off for a Colonoscopy at 2pm. She was supposed to be finished by 3:45pm. They sent her out at 3pm to tell me that they wouldn’t be taking her in until 3:15. In the meantime, at least 3 patients that arrived after my sister were taken in right away. This makes me furious because it’s wasting my sisters time as well as mine. If I could charge for the time that my sister and I had to waste it wouldn’t be as maddening, but I can’t. The almighty medical staff can ruin your day but they pay no consequences and issue lip service apologies. I will never recommend Seattle Gastroenterology to anyone unless I truly hate the person.

After having ongoing, painful symptoms every day for 3 years, and seeing doctors in Nebraska and Washington DC with no resolution, I found Dr. Bernstein in Seattle. The appointments and procedures were thorough, timely, professional and comfortable. After my procedure Dr. Bernstein diagnosed me with something that was never mentioned with my previous physicians and prescribed medication that alleviated all symptoms immediately. I am immensely grateful for the care I received.

I have had excellent service here, especially from the nurses. I had an endoscopy here (my first) and the nurses and anesthesiologist were kind, patient, and made me feel at ease. I cannot praise them highly enough! My gastroenterologist Dr. Bernstein is professional and thorough. I’m super happy with my care here!

The attending physician, Dr. Tanmura, was excellent, as was the support staff. My colonoscopy procedure went smoothly, and I woke up from the anesthetic as though Id had a nice nap. There were no bad after-effects.

I had a Colonoscopy performed at Seattle Gastroenterology Associates. When I woke up from the procedure, I experienced the worst pain I have ever felt in my life. It was like my whole body was on fire and the pain extended from the lower part of my body to my neck, chest and back. I was horrified to learn that my colon had been perforated. My wife drove me to emergency and I spent three days in the hospital fearing for my life and that I would need emergency colon surgery. I had to pay several thousands of dollars in out of pocket costs as well as being sick for 6 months. After several discussions with this awful clinic, they refused to assist in any way. They are pathetic!

I just called in to schedule an appointment for a bleeding stomach ulcer. I was hoping to have this diagnosed ASAP so I first asked them if they had appointments available in the next couple of days. The receptionist (male) said yes. I went ahead and provided all of my personal and insurance info and finally he gave me an appointment for the following week (10 days in the future). I asked if that was the closest appointment, since he said there was one available in the next couple of days and he has the nerve to respond Yes, that is the next couple of days. I could do without the attitude when Im facing a very painful and potentially dangerous condition.

Avoid this place like the plague. They can’t schedule, they don’t understand insurance and then never know A solution. They should be placed on the worst healthcare providers list. I dont trust them and will ensure my GP knows how bad they are. Go somewhere else.

Doctor got bent out of shape when I questioned some of his logic. Office refused to refer me to another gastroenterologist, and left me hanging. My recommendation is to avoid this place like the plague. They dont take major health issues seriously and objectively.
