Really appreciate the help from Emily to get me through a rough spot. The schedulers and everyone I talked to were always so kind and helpful. Just the calming and friendly voices that are needed when troubled.

After my daughter was hospitalized we waited weeks for a critical appoinment that required her dad and I leaving work and getting her out of school only to wait 30 minutes before finding out they gave our appointment to someone else and never let us know. We rescheduled and they booted us again. They did manage to run my card though to make sure it worked. Horrible experience and demoralizing for my daughter, no one wants to be rejected by their therapist, twice.

I was with mindful therapy group for two years. Worked with both Nicole Iwuoha and Brandy Morgan. They were bias and judgemental. Did not take the time to know me and left me in a worse mental health state than when I started working with them.

My review was not appearing in the Mountlake Terrace location for some reason, but I am going to put it here as well.I wish there was a way I could give a negative star. Man what a circus. The psychiatrists are there just to collect a check. Jessica England told me that I cant help you. Incompetency at the highest degree. This person had literally no social skills or provided me any sort of comfort. At least have some bed side manners to ask how my day was in the beginning of the conversation... She seemed to be very rushed to probably give equally as terrible service to her next client. Ended conversation 17 minutes early without even saying good bye. To be honest, I felt more relaxed speaking to the lady who scheduled my appointment. I would highly advise going elsewhere. Mindful Therapy should be mindful that they are in the wrong business.

Horrible intake staff. I called them to check if they take my insurance, they said yes, and I set up an appointment. Turns out the person they matched with me is not in-network. Thanks. So I call them again, they tell me that I have to wait until all the therapists accept my insurance. So I wait, and schedule an appointment for a later point, when they should accept my insurance. Then I get an email saying that my therapist is not in network and will not be. Cool, thanks for stringing me along for a month, its not like I need therapy or anything like that, no big deal. These people dont seem to care too much about patients, and act like its not big deal to charge me 120 per sessions when I have insurance and specifically picked them because they said they accept my insurance.

Horrible. Jennifer O Hare was my wife’s doctor. We were highly dissatisfied. Thankfully we are seeing another provider now at a different facility who is so more caring, knowledgeable and professional. I can clearly see the difference.

Every time I come I breathe a sigh of relief for having finally found a psychiatrist who can really help me well. Eliza Brink is knowledgeable, caring and truly takes the time to ask fully encompassing questions about my life so as to help me best. She is extremely skilled with balancing medication combinations and has been a huge blessing in my life. I’ve seen other psychiatrists who have been haphazard in their prescribing, whereas I find I can always trust Eliza to be purposeful and insightful. Eliza is always kind and encouraging and I leave feeling like even though I’m facing a lot, she’s behind me 100% and we will keep on going together no matter what.I also saw Alexandra Pales during Eliza’s maternity leave and she too was very knowledgeable and skilled at managing my medications. She was able to add helpful new ideas to my case in a respectful and very kind way. She was wonderful to have work alongside us during that time and I would also recommend her.

We started going to Mindful Therapy group years ago with our daughter when she was using heroin. The therapist there was wonderful and was the first person of many therapists who was actually able to diagnose our daughter with bipolar disorder. She has since quit the drugs and takes her medications for her disorder regularly. She has been sober for 3 years and is back in school and keeping her life on track. We recently moved to Northgate office for our daughters medication management, She had been managed by her primary doctor but we felt that she was having too many side effects. Our first visit to MTG was amazing! We were not rushed and the NP listened to all of our concerns, and took the time to thoroughly assess my daughters situation. We followed up for the next few weeks and adjustments were made to her medications as they were needed. My daughter now just goes monthly and is feeling great. The side effects from the medications were causing her to want to skip taking them, but now she has been taking her medications more consistently. We finally have things going really well with her and owe it to the people at MTG. The people here are very knowledgeable and actually care about people. We definitely recommend this group to anyone who needs help and feels discouraged with their current situation.

Love LOVE going to Mindful Therapy Group in Northgate: Great customer service, staff is very friendly and patient, super organized and efficient. I appreciate the appointment reminders and the environment in the waiting area is very calming. I see Rachel Gordon, who I also love LOVE, and have been recommending all my friends and family go see her or seek anyone out at Mindful Therapy Group. I have learned so much and have grown in such a positive way coming here and working with Rachel - it has been the best experience!!!

Everyone here is so nice and professional. Ive never had a single problem with mucked-up appointments or billing. Claire Tilley in particular is a fantastic nurse practitioner. It is no lie to say she genuinely saved my life, and continues to do so. I cannot recommend her highly enough, and while I only had an experience with one other therapist who worked here (and I have since followed to her new location, since she was so wonderful), Id not hesitate to recommend everyone involved with this group. Theyre worth your while.

My experiences at MTG have so far been entirely pleasant. The waiting room is very relaxing and comforting... For a waiting room! They always play music thats nice on the ears, have cute and gentle books to look through, and they have cold water for consumption and hot water available for anyone who wants to make some tea. I also really love my therapist, Wendy Nystrom. She is very attentive, helps me ground myself a lot, helps me process with colour/art therapy, and has given me much needed tools to help me with my anxiety, PTSD, and dissociation. I also really appreciate having Zorro, her Japanese Chin (dog), around for each session. He feels like a good... emotional buffer/mediator if that makes sense! Something about having a dog around just always makes a place seem exponentially safer :3 Also, my partner sees Wendy as well, and has been doing the best theyve been in so many years, despite seeing other therapists prior to Wendy. They used to be depressed, withdrawn, and suicidal, and theyve gotten so much better since starting therapy. I would definitely recommend this place and Wendy!

I have had a great experience here- I went to the new location this spring and have really enjoyed the progress Im making. I see Cathy Kim for meds and Bob Viola for therapy. I cant say enough about their care and professionalism. I also feel a warm vibe in the waiting area, and the staff are always courteous and attentive. So glad to be back on track and working toward some goals again.

Went in for my appointment and honestly walked out feeling worse then I did coming in. I was told my situation was confusing and felt immediately judged. I don’t wish my experience on anyone and would highly suggest seeking help from a facility with practitioners with more experience. Don’t waste your money, time or piece of mind.

Despite this location being further away from my home, Im perfectly willing to make the trip. Everyone here Ive encountered has been friendly and professional making my anxieties lower (which is a big deal for me). Interactions have been smooth and easy getting what needs done, done while maintaining a feeling of not being rushed or pressured. And even though I havent been coming for SUPPER long, theyve memorised my name which feels welcoming. The final touches of decor and music are chic and calming.Tl;dr I highly suggest this location. Theyre great.

Was instructed that I might have too many issues regarding my anxiety and depression and to seek therapy elsewhere so itd be a better fit, albeit it was said much more eloquently, delivered with a its not you, its me sentiment. I think it was due to me being upset when my appointments were repeatedly rescheded and I wasnt given sufficient notice but still charged for delay. Either way, its made me completely give up on therapy. I just take whatever medicine my family doctor gives me now and pray for the best.

Ive had a really good experience here from the start. They made sure to ask lots of questions to make sure I was placed with someone right for my needs and shes perfect for me. The only thing that bothers me is they rotate offices every day and it drives my OCD up a wall. But thats a minor thing

I absolutely love my providers and am so thankful for the help and guidance they’ve given me. However, while I was receiving care weekly for almost a year, it felt like I was having billing issues constantly. They have under-collected the providers cost on multiple occasions (regardless of insurance), and have told me the incorrect balance or credit (sometimes didn’t even tell me when I had a credit) several times as well. As someone who is paying out-of-pocket, and not making much $ as a young person in her early 20s, this was incredibly difficult and stressful. My providers apologized to me, but it wasn’t their fault. I never received apologies from the front desk staff any of the times these issues occurred, which felt like they were almost specifically trying to avoid doing so.Update: I gave my new address to the front desk when I was there a couple months ago for my last appointment with Alisa, as I was soon moving over an hour and a half away. I finished therapy with Alisa, but was still on the SSRI prescription given to me by Eliza. I intended to continue once-every-couple-month check-ins with Eliza once they were back from leave. My prescription suddenly stopped refills, and when I called, I was told by the front desk staff that Id need to come in for an appointment before they would refill the order. I tried to explain that Im now far away, so it is harder to schedule a quick appointment. I asked if I could please continuing receiving this medication with a phone consult, or if there was any other way we could resolve this temporarily before I could come in. The front desk told me no. I resolved to just schedule an appointment, but when I tried calling the main office, it felt impossible to schedule -- 1) I left multiple voicemails that went unanswered, 2) I was put on hold for more than 15 minutes, then put on hold and hung up on (I think they forgot), and 3) when I finally did reach someone, they would forward me to Elizas voicemail to schedule the appointment? As someone with PTSD and a history of self-harm and depression, it felt very scary and alarming to suddenly be off literally lifesaving medication and not able to find a solution. I am kind of stunned the office staff would handle a patient who was suddenly removed from such medication in this way. Im not sure if they remember me from all of the billing issues and werent feeling friendly because of it or what, but I have tried so hard to maintain warmth and patience while going through all of this.Having my SSRI prescription taken away from me cold turkey sent me into an intense, dangerous withdrawal. I feel like months of progress were halted. Ive since explained the situation to my GP who has graciously helped me with a new prescription.Overall, just really disappointed with how the front desk staff handled billing and now this prescription situation. Id recommend MTG and, again, love my providers, but I hope the admin staff can do better for future patients.

They charged my credit card $248 (instead of our $65 copay) without our consent or knowledge. When I asked for a refund they first said they would issue a check (I assumed it would be immediate.) When my husband called back they would take 2-3 weeks. No one answers the phone unless youre a new patient. Youre forced to leave a voicemail and they say theyll call back.
