Ive had a great experience with both the Intake/Office team and also the therapists. Everyone was attentive, understanding, and patient. All the employees are super nice on the phone that I interacted with and answered all my questions. It was nice to feel like there wasnt a lot of hurdles to jump over in beginning therapy, and the remote option worked really well for me and my schedule. Was easy to keep consistent, which of course is important. I really appreciate the service! Thank you.

Beware - Questionable Practices.I provided 2 stars because Ive had a reasonable experience with the provider. Visits are very short, but seem genuine. The collection practices of the office team are troubling and disrespectful. To note, all providers deserve to get paid in full. This is their career and they should be paid for their knowledge and expertise. Please note the negativity of the experience. The minute you get off the phone, the staff emails you to demand payment, without providing payment terms or actual due dates, stating its due immediately. Further, they are unwilling to work with your insurance company and make you do the leg work communicating. My services were covered at 90%, but they wanted cash upfront. There is no professionalism here and they should be ashamed of their practices.

What I think is the brilliance of MTG is that everyone is invested in my well-being. For example, I recently came to the hard decision to switch from my current therapist, who is out of my insurance network, for a therapist in the MTG. To do this, I called and spoke with Jamie and shared this information and then discussed broadly the issues I’m using therapy for. Jamie was empathetic, considerate, and most importantly knowledgeable enough of my insurance and the therapists on hand to find a provider whose expertise matched the issues I’m in the process of exploring. In the past, I have struggled to find mental health providers because I’ve been told to look at a huge list, pick one, and hope for the best. MTG curated and did the heavy lifting for me so I didn’t have to spend hours trying to figure out who to pick and if they were in my insurance network and do where their expertise was.. etc.I called, shared what I needed, and in five minutes I had an appointment. Good customer service from helpful people is a step closer to better mental health.Thank you Jamie! Thank you MTG. It will be nice to not worry about affording good mental healthcare.

I reached out to mindful therapy hopeful to finally get my mental health back on track and was really excited! I was wrong for that because now I am stuck with an almost 500 dollar bill. When I called to book my appointment I asked in case my insurance didn’t cover what would I be charged? I was told around 175 and I was okay with risking that. I ended up going to two appointments before being told my insurance actually wasn’t going through and so I canceled my third. When I got a statement from them it was double what I was expecting and they lied during the intake because I know I would never agree to risk paying over 300 dollars for my intake appointment which is what I was charged. Now I am struggling even more financially after Covid and this company is lining their pockets. The people at the financial office don’t care and the lowest* you can pay is 50 a month which doesn’t sound bad until you were expecting a 10 dollar copay in place of that. Make sure you get in writing what you would be expected to pay for the first appointment should they decide to inform you after 2 appointments that your insurance isn’t going through and you have to foot the bill.

I cant speak to Mindful Therapy in general, but had a handful of sessions with Noah Starer at Mindful Therapy via video and I would highly discourage anyone from pursuing therapy through him.He expects you to run the session and rarely had anything useful or insightful to add. I had to directly ask him for help/direction in how to address certain issues, rather than him trying to add value on his own, and he’d just shake his head and shrug like Im magically going to come up with answer. Hes patronizing and it honestly felt like I was having a session with someone who hasnt worked out their own issues, or at least cant keep them from coming up in their work, which was unprofessional to say the least.

The therapists here only care about money and pushing pills. They will do more work trying to get you onto different pills than actually trying be a therapist. I cannot even begin to explain the lack of effort that these therapists show. If you’re thinking about seeing a therapist, go anywhere else. Specifically the therapist in the picture below.

Im writing this on behalf of a loved one who has been seeing a psychiatrist at Mindful Therapy for almost two years. Ive witnessed the absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional treatment that she has received here by the psychiatrist she has been seeing. The lack of communication between the provider and client is outrageous, especially when the people who work here get upset and argumentative with you for not communicating? When asking genuine questions and reaching out politely, we were met with harshness, a condescending attitude, and insults. What a joke, for a place that supposedly prioritizes mental health. All they care about is money. We will be finding somewhere new for sure.

My first impressions with this group was rather negative.I waited a long time on hold the first time I called. The person I spoke to was very confused about what I wanted, although I just wanted to make an appointment. They must have got my email address wrong because I didn’t receive any of the forms and info they told me to expect. They called me back a few days later telling me they messed up the scheduling and postponed my appointment by over two weeks (due to the holidays, which is fair enough, but there are many days between now and my appointment which is a week into January, and they should have been upfront when I called the first time)I am considering cancelling and going somewhere where I experience a better first impression, since I would prefer professionalism when it comes to my mental health.

What a joke. The ARNP who did my evaluation was high and rolling her eyes at me. I cant stress how disappointing my experiences have been here.

I love this place. Everyone is very helpful and genuine.I had to pay a balance on my account and I spoke to Liz today. Not only did she do a wonderful job of getting my account up to date - she even offered to save my HSA card to my account to make my life even easier. I had a question about availability of a provider (mind you she is billing) she even took the time to look up information for me. I hope Liz is rewarded and acknowledged for going above and beyond.

Unfortunately, I will never see a doctor here after the horrific way I was treated over the phone by the intake team. After filling out the online new patient forms, I received a call to make an appointment. I called them back on the number they provided, after telling them I was returning their call, I was met with the most RUDE customer service I have ever received in my life. The woman had never heard of me and did not know what I was talking about and instead of getting someone else in the office to help her, she started raising her voice and getting frustrated with me. I was trying to tell her the information but she was refusing to help or transfer me to another person who could.I was so shocked to be treated by a PROFESSIONAL especially at a MENTAL HEALTH office. Its so unfortunate because I was really looking forward to working with one of the doctors, but after being treated in this manner I will never give my business to them.

I have loved working with Mindful Therapy Group! The staff are all very helpful and supportive, and are very knowledgeable. They work hard to match clients with providers, and consider a lot of factors when placing clients with someone who will be a good fit for their needs. In my experience, they are very flexible and are always willing to do what they can to set you up with someone who will be a good fit! I have been to several of their locations, and the office space is always well maintained and just a generally relaxing environment. They have a diverse group of providers, and sincerely care about everyone who walks through their doors.

I really enjoy Mindful Therapy Group! To start, their offices are very beautiful and welcoming. Its a great space, which I believe it a key thing when it comes to mental health services. As someone who gets very anxious when going to appointments, I really appreciate the welcoming energy of their front desk staff. It helps make you feel like this is a place you can confide in, if that makes sense. I also really enjoy my doctor, Naomi True. She is very kind and makes you feel comfortable within just a few minutes of meeting her. And from what I can tell, this is very common with the doctors at Mindful Therapy. From interactions Ive seen in the offices, every one of their doctors really cares and puts in the effort to show it to their patients. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a mental health service. And I have to many of my friends.

If your therapist isnt a good fit, or causes a problem for you - they wont just let you goto another therapist. You have to explain your issues and secrets to an unlicensed stranger on the phone, and hope they agree. They try to push you back into the therapist who isnt a good fit for you. And they get argumentative if you disagree. So you have to goto another company.Overall a mixed experience.
