Got my laptop fixed so fast I was really impressed (in only a couple of days). I was told it would take a week but they got it done super early. Also, they kept a good communication about the status of my laptop and how much it would cost before hand (no surprise bills here).I would recommend this shop if you need to have something repair by true professionals.

I enthusiastically recommend GoEBITS to anybody looking for Mac repair. I struggled with a flashing Touch Bar for well over a year, assuming that a repair would be too costly for a college student like myself. After it deteriorated further, however, I resigned myself to opening my wallet. Upon taking the computer to GoEBITS, my fear was confirmed when they said the cost could be as high as $700. However, after asking more questions about the device, they determined that I qualified for an Apple replacement program and could get the repairs done for free. I was overjoyed, and my gratitude only multiplied when I returned to pick it up the next week (ahead of schedule) and was told they not only replaced the Touch Bar, but also the keyboard, trackpad, speakers, and battery, all for free. I am incredibly thankful for the assistance, high-quality work, and professionalism GoEBITS provided and I will absolutely use their services again in the future.

I had one of the greatest repair experience in GoEBITS. Had a default Macbook keyboard which was covered under Apple Keyboard replacement program. Went to the place, got the device checked in on a Wednesday, and was supposed to repair it by Mid next week. They repaired it within 48 hours and asked me to pick it up. It was super prompt and upfront. Would definitely recommend it to someone. Its so much faster than Apple Store Repairs. PS: Parking is free for under 15 mins for a quick drop off and repair, after that it can be validated too.

My MacBook Pro shut down all of the sudden and wouldnt turn back on. The Apple Store did not have any available appointments in all locations in the Seattle area. My colleague found GoEBITS online and they were able to schedule me in right away, assess the problem and fix my laptop within a day. They were courteous and professional, and did I mention FAST. Jesper and his team did a fantastic job. Hard drive crashed in a bad way, they were able to recover ALL data for reasonable price, and did so after encountering inaccessible/corrupt regions (they tried 3 methods, 3rd worked). Replaced drive and battery quickly (in spite of some shipping issues). Super responsive, professional, helpful, and all around the best outcome I could have possibly asked for. 10/10 would recommend strongly.

Amazingly quick turnaround (36 hours) on a repair that was quoted to take 5-8 days. I needed a repair done by the end of the week because I was leaving town, and Brian was very frank about the typical obstacles, conveying that there was no guarantees on timing. They worked with Apple to get the part expedited to them, and to my delight, I got a call the day after dropping my laptop off that it was ready for pickup. Amazing! I was expecting it to take several days at the least. Stoked. Thanks so much you guys :-)

I was pleased with the technicians quick diagnostic turnaround time, only 6 hours! The problem with my MacBook Pro was only an inner cable that became loose from dropping the device. No charge to reattach the cable, and I only paid $59.95 for the diagnostic service. Honest technicians, fair prices, and I got lots of good advice and more knowledge free from the technician, who was extremely well trained by Apple, respectful of my lay knowledge, and helpful. I brought my laptop in due to keyboard issues. Everyone that I interacted with was very nice. They explained everything that they might have to do beforehand. Now my laptop is like new again. They even put in a new battery on top of changing the keyboard. Everything works great with better life. With shipping and repair i wasn’t expecting to pick it up until next week. They finished it a week early than expected. I will definitely be bringing my laptop back here if other problems arise.

I really appreciate this business, its employees! Both of my experiences have been positive. Not only are they pros at what they do, their shop is run very efficiently. They tend to over deliver, and early.Recently, I needed to replace my cracked laptop screen. They had estimated 2-3 weeks (which is half that of an apple store). They had it back in less then ONE week. As a small biz owner, this is huge!I cannot recommend them enough for any of your electronic repair issues. So good!

I called apple because I had a swollen mac pro battery I needed recycled and they set up an appointment for me here. When I arrived, I was told they do not handle swollen batteries unless my computer gets serviced. They said they couldnt just take any battery off the street.I asked if I could pay for the service of taking out my battery and recycling it, and they said no. Total waste of time. Would not recommend coming here.edit: They said they would do it if I was getting the battery replaced, but not if I was not getting the battery replaced. The logic of it is a safety hazard, we dont do that falls apart if you say you would do it if I replaced the battery. They specifically said they would take the battery if I got it replaced. They even said they have a safe they keep these in, but only for people replacing batteries.

After my daughter accidentally closed her MacBook Pro laptop on top of her ring and cracking the screen, you can imagine her utter dismay. As a busy student who uses her laptop throughout the day, we needed a repair as soon as possible. It was right before Christmas, and the earliest and closest appointment with an Apple authorized repair shop was in Seattle, at GoEbits, a 3 hour drive away. We drove through what seemed like a torrential rain to get there, but were welcomed as soon as we walked in.They diagnosed and estimated the cost for the repair which amounted to replacing the entire display assembly and soon sent her laptop back overnight via UPS in a carefully packaged insured box.About 3 weeks after getting her laptop back, to her deep dismay, the display began showing signs that something was wrong and was getting worse. I phoned the shop which was answered by their manager Colby, who not only answered all of my detailed questions and concerns, but also took it upon himself to make its repair a priority and to ensure that his lead technician was looped in. Although rare, he explained, it wasnt unheard of that a brand new Apple display might be defective, and if the diagnostics showed it to be the case, they would replace it and pay for overnight insured shipping to get it back to us as soon as possible.My daughter drove up the next morning to Seattle. They immediately ran a diagnostic test finding the display to be defective assuring her there would be no charge for the repair and return overnight shipping.In every conversation with their careful and conscientious team, from Sam answering the phone to manager Colby, I was thoroughly grateful for their kindness, sense of humor and wonderful service!This company is the gold standard for customer service in every regard. Not only do I highly recommend supporting this small business, I will drive the 3 hours to have all of my repairs serviced by them in the future and will recommend them to family and friends. Truly a wonderful example of goodwill and just what we all need in these trying times, to be treated with kindness, respect and given top drawer service!

I had a really horrible, drawn-out experience with GoEBITS and I cannot stress enough that I would encourage you to look elsewhere for laptop repair. Ultimately, I paid a very high fee for Data Recovery and my hard-drive was returned to me empty after they had written to me that the process was succesful. When I asked for a refund for the failure to deliver the agreed upon service, I was severely aggressed upon by the store manager. The experience was incredibly upsetting and I will not be returning to the store to try to continue the process of trying to either get my money or my data because the store manager was frightening and incredibly antagonistic. If you can take your computer literally anywhere else, I would say to do that. I was dealing with them for almost a month, and at the end, I have a broken computer, no data, spent multiple hundreds of dollars and was berated by a grown man.

The service I got at Goebits was absolutely exceptional! All the staff was super professional, helpful, and honest. I had gotten a recall on my Apple laptops battery and was instructed to bring it in to the nearest location to replace it. Goebits was the closest to my apartment and I’m so glad it was. I brought my laptop in and they replaced the battery super quick. On top of that, they replaced my keyboard and the front plate (???sorry I have no idea what’s it’s called) FOR FREE. They simply did that as a curtesy. On top of that, they were communicative and organized through the whole process. I recommend this business as a person who knows nothing about computers. I trust this company.

My laptops keyboard had some broken keys so I got an appointment only an hour or so after I looked online. The EBITS crew told me the warranty is only covered from 4 years after the date of purchase, which in my case happened to be 4 days away. They rushed my order free of charge, fixed the keyboard, replaced the battery, and had the entire process done 5 days earlier than expected! Amazing customer service and attention to detail.

I have taken two different MacBooks to GoEBITS for repair and both times they have done an excellent job with diagnosing and repairing the issues. They also sent me frequent updates about the status of my laptop, including when there were unexpected delays in ordering parts. The most recent MacBook was still under warranty and I don’t believe I was charged extra for the service beyond the warranty deductible. Overall, the repairs, even with delays, were faster than I expected (less than a week) and the staff were super helpful.

We brought my laptop here for repairs. I had dropped it and part of the plastic in the hinge had snapped, and we were hoping they could fix it. When we brought it in we explained in detail the exact problem, but either way they had us pay the $40.00 diagnostic fee. We asked them specifically if they could just epoxy the plastic in place, they said they will look into what they can do to fix it.The first week passed with no communication from them. We called them and they said they were trying to get a replacement part. Another week goes by, no communication. We call again, they say they are still waiting for the part. Okay. We wait another week. We call them again several times on different days - no answer. Eventually we get ahold of them and they told us they couldnt get the part from the manufacturer and just didnt tell us. We asked if they could just epoxy the plastic. They said they could, but it would cost $200.00. After this we went back and picked up the laptop, over 3 weeks with them, no repairs and $40.00 lost.Please do not go here for repairs, there HAS to be more reputable and helpful places in the area. Our experience was just horrible. You can look at my review history, I dont go around leaving bad reviews at places. But this was seriously a terrible experience and I cant recommend this place.

I needed to get a single Macbook key replaced here, these guys quoted me $700-900 for a SINGLE KEY REPLACEMENT! Telling me they needed to replace the entire keyboard, blah blah.I went online and bought a key for $10 and did it myself. Took 10 seconds, just popped the key back on and it works good as new.Save yourself money and do the work yourselves!

They are often short-staffed and dont have a clear answer for anything that is asked. Just slap you with a diagnostic fee and an absurd charge during this pandemic. I purchased a new iphone SE about a week ago and before I could get a case, dropped it. I was devastated that, although it was still working, there were cloudy lines across the screen. I brought it into GoBITS Capitol Hill and within 24 hours I had the phone back in perfect condition. In addition to being professional and friendly, they made me feel like I could trust them to take care of my new phone. They also went the extra mile to contact Apple to see if I had warranty coverage, and I did! What a happy relief that I didn’t have another expense. Extremely unsatisfactory customer service. Peripherals (laptop charger, wireless mouse receiver) submitted along with the laptop given for data recovery was lost. They dont take responsibility or give any clear answer on when they will find it.I had given my Dell Laptop with water damage for data recovery. They took about 3 weeks to respond on whether data recovery was possible. And another couple of weeks to complete the recovery. When I went to collect the data and laptop back, they had not even assembled the laptop and assumed I wanted to recycle it. Moreover, the data was only partially retrieved. They had decided on retrieving only a single directory without even consulting me.When I went again to get the laptop and all the data, the peripherals submitted were missing. They had no clue where they had misplaced my charger and wireless mouse receiver. Although they promised to retrieve it the next day and inform me when it is ready to pick up, I never received a call. I had to call them back again after 4 days for any update although there was none.

I brought in a 5 year old macbook with an unresponsive trackpad. They took a whole week to diagnose the problem, which seems like a really long time to let me know that my trackpad cable needed to be replaced. The diagnosis cost 49$, which is pricey but understandable.They told me replacing the cable would be 249$ which is insane, I ended up buying the cable online from ifixit for 12$ and changed it myself.

I had a Macbook Pro with the sticky keyboard problem and 2 missing keys. Inquired if I could have the keyboard serviced as part of the Apple Keyboard Service Program. This location was more convenient for me than the Apple Store.Paid a fee to have the laptop evaluated to see if it was covered by the Keyboard Service Program.Tech called me a couple days later to let me know it wouldnt be covered by Apple due to damage of the keyboard (the 2 missing keys). They would replace the keyboard for some amount over $400 with parts and labour. I dont remember the exact number. I wasnt offered alternatives, such as just replacing the two missing keys.I went to Apple Store at University Village. Same laptop. Same condition. Apple tech said it was covered under the Apple Keyboard Service Program. Got the laptop back after a couple days.The outcome of this experience was:Go to the Apple store for Apple problems first.

Working with a brand such as Apple does not justify an incomplete diagnosis.Not recommending for anything beyond straightforward part replacement. They were not willing to dive deep into the issue that I originally reported in my Apple appointment request. They said we plugged it in and it was charging successfully and declined to spend further time on that specific issue despite my requests.Not caring for customer pain points. Not recommending this business. In practice, they declined to diagnose despite charging the fee.

When I walked in with my iMac from 2008, the tech came out of the back room after the guy at the front laid out the terms for the diagnostic. What the best part of this was the fact that they were honest about not being able to help me with this problem (due to the computer being so old, the technician said—they no longer had any diagnostic tools to even determine what the problem was).For the record, my ancient iMac is used for recording music, but this week I could no longer get the microphone jack to work.And also for the record, they were willing to tell me this before charging me their diagnostic fee (over $60). I wish many other places offered such good service.

My MacPro completely all of a sudden - I had never had anything like this happen to me before, and of course it had to be in the middle of a pandemic. They were great! Terrible Service. I waited for 3 weeks and they just did a simple diagnosis. And no ways you can reach out to him(maybe through emails but depends on their mood whether to reply to you) Asked for 250 bucks for installing a power supply. And the diagnosis is pretty much what I have concluded before going to their shop. I think they might have lied to me when they said they did a test for my gpu and my power supply and they are fine( my power supply is definitely in bad condition) and their diagnosis is simply switching to 1200watt power. Any professionals should know 750 watt is definitely enough for a rtx2080 gpu enough. If not, 850 should be enough. Well, I really don’t know what they are thinking and doing. Ive had to take both my desktop and laptop computers in for repair. Every time they have been quite fast diagnosing and correcting various issues with my computers. Scheduled 2 separate appointments over 3 months only to find out their system wasn’t integrated with T-Mobile’s insurance program thru Apple, and that they couldn’t manage the volume for a scheduled appointment so a screen crack would take 3-5 days. Ended up walking out with nothing fixed. Unacceptable when this is one of the only Apple licensed dealers in the city.

There is so much that went wrong!!! I took a MacBook pro in because apple recommended them. The total for the repairs was almost $800 the price isnt the main reason im upset its the up-sell!!! I took it in due to the display no longer working. In their investigation they found liquid damage and a dead thunderbolt port. this is all over 2 years old and I am well aware that it exists. I asked them to just replace the display and they refused unless I payed for the additional services. Mind you I was aware of the previous damage and was ok with it remaining. so after paying way more than I wanted to I get home only to find that they had installed all sorts of malware and software onto my computer, things like google wont even work without defaulting to Bing (Shudders). Seriously there was a whole host of programs added without my consent. I have tried deleting these programs but cant seem to fix the issue. There was no reason for them to add ANY PROGRAMS to the device. I got up-sold and they messed up my device. Also I asked for an email of the statement and never received one. If Apple stores were not all closed due to COVID-19 I would have gone there first, Im sure it would have cost a fraction of the price and they wouldnt have up-sold me on any service I didnt want.Fair Disclaimer: I originally took my device to the Capitol Hill location, they sent it to the University District location due to the seeing the liquid Damage. I only recieved notice of this after they had sent it to University location.

I had a diagnostic run on my cracked laptop screen. It was a little bit cracked but working fine and useable - I just wanted to know how much it would cost to fix it. 5 days later when I picked it up the screen is completely ruined. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!!! I had my cracked iPhone 5 screen replaced 2 weeks ago by eBits. They did a fast turn around and my phone looked brand new in time for my vacation. Two days ago, I switched out my case and the screen cracked again. The phone didnt even fall. The glass continued to crack down the phone. I went in to the shop today to show them and the sales clerk told me they dont warranty physical damage and that I would need to pay another $87. I told him I understand that is normally the case, but the pressure of my thumb should not crack the screen and thats unacceptable because it didnt appear the glass was the quality of the original. He said well it looks like it was assembled correctly....sorry. Yeah, Im sorry to eBits! That is not how customer service works. With all of the electronic devices in our household, you would have had great business from us. Not anymore and I will continue to give you a horrible review. Now I know why they give out free tempered glass after you write a review, because the screen quality is not up to par!!!

We moved recently. It was almost as hard leaving behind my computer technician as the neighbors we love. Its a pretty good bet you can find good coffee on Capitol Hill, but I was anxious about where to get reasonable, reliable IT help. Imagine my delight to find the guys at eBits. The first time I walked in they were attentive and helpful. I will miss West Seattle and PC Mobile Help, but Im relieved to know that eBits has my back when our technology acts up.

My laptop had a dead screen and I didnt back up any of my very important data. Within 4 days, folks at Ebits were able to get all the data off of my fried laptop for around $200. The initial swipe didnt get all my data, but they took my hard drive back and got everything for me in less than 24 hours and kept me updated about the situation (calls and emails). Courteous staff and good hours (open weekdays and weekends) makes this a good place for urgent tech situations.

What they fixed: Macbook Pro 2017 touch bar editionProblem: randomly failing and complaining about touch bar, and crack in screenOutcome: GoEBITS was able to get me a new screen/keyboard touchbar for free (using mac replacement program) and only had to charge for the logic board replacement so basically a new screen.Above and beyond: I didnt even ask for screen to be fixed they took initiative to figure out if it could be covered by apple in a recall which saved me $500+ and got my machine better than expected.Ask for Brian he is the best and will really go above and beyond to make your experience a good one.For reason that I am not giving 5 stars:The initial technician back and forth was confusing and I was originally lead to believe for them to fix anything at all it was all or nothing, ie the screen would have to be replaced and everything would have to be fixed or nothing could be fixed, which would be ~$1400 (my computer cost $1600 new). After talking with a different employee (Brian) he was able to understand where I was coming from, fix all my issues and keep my cost down to the cost of only one component because he could replace the keyboard and screen using an apple replacement program.

I had my gaming computer damaged during a plane trip. I asked them to reassemble the computer and if the computer do not work to make a diagnosis of what was wrong. They charged me $82 dollars for that.The next day they called me and told me that the computer was not working. I said fine, so what is wrong? They told me either the CPU or the motherboard.What kind of diagnosis is that? They don`t even have the tools to test separately and tell me which one is broken?Result: They did not give me the money back and told me they had told me before (which they did not) my computer was too good and they did not have how to test for those pieces. So why they told me they could do it and charged me in the first place?!?!?!

They wanted $150 to install macOS on a Mac mini. Once I managed to get my hands on an installer it ended up taking me about 30 minutes start to finish with maybe 5 minutes of actual work and 25 minutes of waiting. Charging $150 for that is downright exploitative.

I had a battery problem, brought it in and they said they could fix it in 2-3 days. Couldn’t reach them for 10+ days, wouldn’t answer phone calls. Finally, they called me and said they couldn’t find a battery replacement (they said they only found one on a sketchy website) and wants us to buy the battery and then give it to them to fix it.So they couldn’t have called me after 3 days to tell us they couldn’t find battery? It took them TWO WEEKS to tell us this one simple sentence?In the end, my laptop wasn’t fixed AND they scratched my laptop. I would give 0 Star if I could.

Very impressed! I had originally taken my desktop pc to their now-closed Broadway store; had a new drive put in and all was well (and it took less time than I expected). When I started hearing strange noises (a week or so after the month-warranty period had ended), I took it to the Harvard Ave store where they ran a free diagnostic even though it was past the guaranteed time. Tyler was incredibly helpful. I definitely recommend them.

I was recovering data from an old hard drive but it was slow going. I brought it to this establishment to see if they could get it done faster. They didnt take a deposit and they said they would contact me in 3-4 days and they didnt. I called them after and left messages and emails. Nothing was returned until 2 weeks later when they said they were charging me $67.00 for attempted recovery. As far as I can tell the staff are electronic neophytes running a scam, as they didnt tell me exactly what they did to try and recover the data. For all I know it sat in a bin for two weeks.Id recommend avoiding this establishment. I also contacted the better business bureau as they have a plan that says that they are bbb approved.

My experience with eBits was not a good one. The company didnt keep the timeline they committed to, was very unapologetic about their lack of punctuality, and in the end, they were not able to fix my very simple problem.Likewise, the company claimed to charge me $799 for the parts of a hard drive (no labor), however when I googled for the hard drive it was only $500 online. This infuriated me because eBits claimed they werent marking up the cost of the hard drive.Avoid at all costs.PS- this is my first ever google review. I didnt like them *that* much.

Brought my laptop in for a diagnosis, we agreed on a price, only to be told a couple of days later that they had ordered the wrong price and the new price for the replacement would be +200. Anyways I do some research on my own and found a replacement part from Ebay. Will be fixing on my own. Diagnosis wasnt too helpful.. I got no part number or any other information other then the fact that the hinges had to be replaced.. Which is what I said when I brought the laptop it. The desk workers however were friendly and great. Always double check when parts are ordered.

Sorry to say I cant recommend GoEBITS based on my experience this week. I found staff friendly, and wish I could say service was OK. But it was confusing, I couldnt get a call back, got conflicting price and timing estimates, was charged $50 for a mandatory diagnostic that just told me exactly what Id said: my MacBook storage was almost full. The website offered same-day service and I asked for it but didnt get a clear answer. I was quoted a $650-$950 estimate to fix my problem by installing an SSD. I went for a second opinion to Progressive Tech on Roosevelt: within five minutes my problem had been identified and fixed for $0 (a duplicate of my photo archive was hogging my storage space).

Ive broken my phone twice now in the past year (from being silly and taking the case off without replacing it with another case). First time was a cracked screen which they fixed within an hour at the Capitol Hill location-worked great after they fixed it. Second time the top screen started separating from the other layers of screen and the screen started to periodically fail to function. Second time it was fixed within an hour too and works great.
