I wish I could give zero star. Sarah Sung and her team is the worst medical team I ever met. I have a skin tag on my arm. Sarah Sung did a wrong teatment to me. Sarh Sung did a very deep punch instead of shave biopsy which leads to a permanent damage(very big scar) on my arm. She promised to me it will get better and will keep working on it. I am not seeing any improvement after 3 months. My appointment was cancelled one day before with an untrustworthy reason. They said the mechine is broken. Sophal is her assistant. She is extremly unfirendly to me. I didnt know that my appointment was canceled and my time is wasted. Sophal didnt say sorry and answered my questions with a cold face and unfriendly tone. The machine is broken and we dont know when it will be fixed. she said. I never believe that a medical machine is broken and doesnt have a plan to fix it. I think they just dont want to work on my scar any more.

Worst experience. They have no respect of customers time. I went there 2 times and everytime the doctor was with another patient. First time they made me wait for 40 min and i had to leave for an important meeting so I could see doctor only for 5 min which was clearly not enough. I had to come back to meet the doctor again; so overall in a day i ended up spending there 3.5 hours with cancelling all my further meetings and only spending 15 min with doctor. In next visit also the doctor was with another patient and they asked me to wait for 30-45 min which I did not because I had another important meeting to attend. They had the audacity to take the first morning meeting with doctor so that I dont have to wait anytime. This is the worst experience i had in any medical facilities.

Two terrible experiences. Front desk staff was rude and unhelpful. Both times I had to wait over an hour from my appointment time for both doctors. Both doctors flew in and out in less that 10 minutes after me waiting an hour past my appointment time. Bad experience with the doctors too. Started going to UW Medicine and its night and day soooooo much better than my Polyclinic experiences.

Being brand new to the city, i had been looking for a new doctor for a couple of months. after having my first appt at this clinic, i really thought highly of the nurse but my doctor seemed less that interested in what i needed. there was no follow thru to make another appt, and i had to schedule another visit to review my medical results after having a physical on my first visit.i was 10 minutes late to my 2nd appt due to a back injury, and then was told that i could not continue with my appt that day. no one in the office came out to explain why, and they refused (at first) to give me my complete medical records that i had faxed over the day before from my previous general practitioner.i will never return to this place. i refuse to be treated badly by medical professionals when i pay for insurance and they obviously make enough money to spend a little time being better people. the ONLY good thing about this office was the person behind the check in desk. Randon, i believe, was their name and they could not have been sweeter.

Staff is friendly but when I scheduled an appointment for various issues Over the phone I was surprised to find when arriving to my appointment only half the things I mentioned were ever written down and brought up to my doctor so I ended up having to “surprise” her with issues that were failed to be brought up previously. Not only that but it’s very difficult to get clear answers from the doctors especially when it comes to follow up questions and the paper they give you with details on the appointment visit is about as far from detailed as you could get. Again the staff is very warm and welcoming but in terms of functionality I have continuously felt incredibly frustrated trying to communicate with the doctors and staff.

If you don’t love your doctor, avoid this place like the plague. The phone service is the worst I have ever experienced for a doctor’s office. I am not calling the cable or phone company. Give me a break. On hold for over 30+minutes to schedule an appointment is ridiculous.(still waiting while writing this review)You are on hold to talk to an operator who routes your call to the doctor. Then you are on hold again. Obviously my time is worth nothing.Update! On hold for 40 minutes. Called on another line while on hold to find out from the operator they close at 5. I called at 4:30! Totally upset. This is my first experience with Poly Clinic, what a let down.

In summary: We will not be returning because we felt the Polyclinic was not transparent with the cost of their service before we went in. Why does it cost $212 just to weigh a child on a standard scale for a couple of seconds? Visiting this office provided zero value to us and ended up just being a big hassle (the office was an hour late for the appointment). Worst experience at a doctor’s office we have ever had.Note: I seldom ever write negative reviews so this is out of the ordinary for me.Additional Details: The doctor asked us to bring our child in to weigh him at the office which we thought was going to be billed to the insurance as a standard simple wellness checkup and be fully covered (we pay thousands of dollars each year for insurance). We ended up getting a bill for over $200 to just set our child on a simple scale for a couple of seconds. We would have NEVER taken him in to weigh him if we would have known that the clinic wanted to charge over $200 for something so simple. Weighing him in the office added no value to us because we already weigh him at home every other day and we would have never agreed to pay over 200 dollars for a data point we already had. The appointment ended up being a hassle as well because the office was running way behind and we ended up waiting for an hour for such a short quick weighing. We felt tricked, blindsided, and taken advantage of! We tried talking with the office to ask them why it cost over $200 to place a child on a scale. We got the run around. It took weeks and we just kept on getting passed around between the office, billing and insurance. They had no answers and agreed that it seemed excessive to charge so much just to place a child on a scale. They said however, there was nothing that they would do and that we just needed to pay it. They were not willing to work with us at all. This office visit was a clear example to us of what is broken in the medical world, a lack of transparency and excessive costs that feel predatory . We wish they would have been more transparent with their cost of service before we went in so we could have made a more informed decision and not been blindsided.

Do NOT seek care here! This is a for profit facility and it shows in the way they practice medicine here. When you have a legit illness they will keep you in a revolving door so they can make more money. Their providers are not educated in the means of insurance. They are too lazy to look for a different Rx that will work with your insurance to help with cost at the pharmacy. I also went to talk to a NP regarding a Rx and she ended up charging it as a physical. Physicals are only allowed once a year at no cost to the patient, so when I actually went to go for my physical I had to pay full cost! Also, I was leaving town for a bit and asked a ENT specialist to refill a prednisone Rx and not only could she not be bothered but she said I did not need the Rx even though I was suffering from chronic symptoms that did not resolve. Polyclinic is good at making themselves money, but the patient will ultimately suffer in health and in medical bills. POLYCLINIC please do not respond back to this review, there is nothing you can do to smooth things over, your providers are useless and I really dont care what you have to say.

The MRI room and sequence is well thought out for visitors with new wood decor and keyed lockers in the changing area, and comfortable headphones for playing your choice of music or Pandora station (highly recommend Synthwave!) Hint: Music takes the edge off the clanging robotic noises during the scan. Thanks to Dr. Mar for his demeanor and timely feedback on results, and to Shannon who is one awesome imaging tech. Im making Polyclinic Northgate my one-stop for everything health related in the future. I know that having a good relationship with your doctor is very important, and Im glad to say I have that here. Dr. Desai is very laid back and sweet. She is able to answer any questions or concerns that I may have, or at least point me in the right direction. I filled out a form on their website to be contacted for making an appointment with a specialist. The next day I received a call from the clinic, they asked if I was a new patient and if I would like to make an appointment – yes to both, thats what I filled out the form for. I let them know the specialist department I needed to make an appointment with and they transferred me to that department. Strange process, but okay. The person who answered the phone sounded inebriated and deeply confused. They kept stumbling over their words, apologizing, blanking out, and then finally told me that I couldnt make an appointment without a referral. Thats okay, I said, my insurance doesnt require a referral. They dismissed this, said their clinic *requires* a referral, and they were sorry I was so confused and could transfer me to their marketing department for clarification (??!). Ive always seen the same kind of specialist with my same insurance, no problem, so this was bizarre. Meanwhile, nowhere on their website does it state that a referral is *required* by this clinic, so the receptionist was not only extremely rude but deeply confused about their work. I gave up and will be going elsewhere.

I had various issues to discuss, and because she did not have them all listed on my chart, she was short and curt. Kept cutting me off and not listening to me. Worst of all, she touched the floor with her gloved hands and did some internal examinations without changing her gloves, although she did not admit to it. Horrible experience, at first she denied the experience and was unapologetic. Had to call and speak to the office manager. The nurses were also talking loudly about where to go to lunch and personal matters rather than helping me schedule my next appointment and check me out. I will not be returning to see Dr Brown ever. I showed up at 6:15pm.The gal at the urgent care desk seemed annoyed that I was there. She made me wear a mask and then said We might be too busy to see you. (The place was completely empty.) She disappeared for a while and came back saying that I need to schedule with my PC (who isnt available, which is why I came here). She seemed happy/satisfied when I said, Never mind. Ill find another Urgent Care. Please let your front desk know that they should NOT be telling patients to come to urgent care. It took a lot of time and energy that I could have spent resting. It seems like the Polyclinic is too busy to see me no matter my situation, and hardly cares either way.I actually dont want a referral for a new doctor from you guys since youve steered me wrong again (the previous time I asked for help, I was referred to Dr. Noelle who laughed in my face). The Polyclinic makes no efforts to try and bill your insurance correctly. I went in for my annual checkup and their billing department not only coded the procedures incorrectly, the doctor has no clue what procedures people need. Used to see Dr. Leaf, who was a fabulous doctor. Prescribed me long term acne medication that I occasionally needed bloodwork for. When I eventually had to see a new doctor due to Dr. Leaf’s retirement. Dr. Antezana said I didn’t need bloodwork to be done. However eventually no refills remained on my prescription.I called the office to see if I needed bloodwork done in order to continue taking it, and the woman said I did and (very rudely, I might add) said I needed to immediately, today, go to a lab corps *within the next 2 hours* or I wouldn’t be able to get a prescription refill. Then I’d assume I’d have to schedule an appointment for 3 months from now with the doctor and my probably returned cystic acne only to get the prescription filled again? So I drove out to a LabCorp and called to have her fax the order to my location, she said she wasn’t able to find the location. Asked for me to go over and hand my phone to the reception lady, who was obviously pretty confused. They talked for a while and handed me my phone back and I proceeded to wait 40 minutes, assuming the lab corps reception lady and the lady at The Polyclinic dermatology were trying to get my lab work over. Eventually I went up to the desk and asked what was going on, thinking I was just waiting on the labcorp staff, and the woman said “they keep saying they’ll fax it over, but we haven’t received anything. You might want to call them yourself.” Called to find out they closed 20 minutes ago and she had gone home and hadnt sent my lab work over, so I had waited almost an hour for no reason.I called back the next morning and was told that the nurses of my doctors office are very busy and I would get a call back. The offices close at 5 pm, so at 4 pm my mom called because I’m too nice to get angry. She was on the phone arguing for close to 30 minutes before telling me to rush over to the labCorp again before they closed at 5. Got there and there was no faxed order. Had to call AGAIN and the woman said she must’ve gotten the number wrong. At this point, even the receptionist was shaking his head. After waiting 10 minutes, and yet another call, the order FINALLY got to the labcorp. At 4:59, right before The Polyclinic would’ve closed again and the woman would’ve gone home. I was stressed to say the least. The order came through the fax machine and the receptionist saw it and laughed in disbelief and said “what in the... they actually wrote a note on this that says you’re very ‘angry.’ I’ve never seen this before.” As if even he thought it was incredibly unprofessional. Not only did they send me scrambling to a labCorp 2 days in a row, they wrote a staff note about me being angry?! Am I supposed to not be angry?!There’s other little details in this story as well, such as the way she very professionally dropped a couple F bombs when she thought her headset was dying, and just the general rudeness when she spoke to me. Never thought I’d be rating this place 1 Star, but wow.

Terrible Billing Issues. DO NOT get too attached to this practice. After 12 years of taking myself and my kids to the Northgate Polyclinic I received a dismissal letter for non-payment. I called the billing dept and my account was paid in Full. No outstanding collections or balance on the account and No write offs. They had a billing error and dismissed me from the practice, refusing to allow me to make another appointment after THEIR ERROR. Im horrified. I will never recommend The Polyclinic.

Ive been coming here for years because I like and trust my doctor. However recently its hard to overlook the incompetence of the support staff at every level. Its time to make a change.

Avoid Dr Smyths office if at all possible. Staff is combative and aggressive. Dont expect to receive any healthcare when you need it most at this office.

I have been going to this group for years along with our entire family. Their care has always been exceptional, caring and friendly. I live downtown now but still drive out to Northgate.

The location is nice, the building is attractive and in working order, not hard to find on the 5th level with easily accessible elevators from the street. The staff seemed friendly enough though I didnt interact with them much. I really liked my doctor, hes a very nice person and will actually give someone what they need without needless hassle. I feel we saw eye to eye so no complaints there. He gave me a specific schedule of medication and seems to genuinely care about me.The real problem arises with certain members of the staff using the phone system. One female in particular is completely rude, and must be an extremely horrible person to be so hateful! The following is an account of only one experience Ive had so far. Perhaps they will improve. My pharmacy dispensed to me a partial amount of my prescription, as most pharmacies do. When I came back for a refill they informed me I would have to contact my doctors office because my insurance wouldnt cover it because I disclosed to them an increase in dosing(which by the way precisely follows my doctors written instructions). So they faxed the doctors office, about I think 4 times total over 2 days. None of these faxes received any reply at all.So I called the polyclinic and spoke with the nameless terrible customer service phone lady. She informed me in the most condescending tone possible that I should have acquired the FULL amount of my prescription from the pharmacy. This amounts to about 180 pills in total. Ive never known a pharmacy to dispense that large an amount of pills to any patient willingly. So after that my doctor wrote a new prescription which simplifies my dosing to one a day. Im still having trouble with the nameless terrible customer service phone lady but Im holding out hope it will improve. Im not about to recommend this place to anyone though, unless you like people being mean to you. Maybe they sell more anxiety medication that way I dont know.

Worst clinic Ive ever been to. Went in for an annual checkup and ended up paying over $300 out of pocket with insurance? Billing department was unhelpful and the doctor never got back to me when I requested a review of the charges. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you want to get swindled.

Absolutely terrible care I received here. I went in with chest pains and not only was I asked what my height and weight were rather than actually measuring me for initial consultation, but most of the symptoms I had discussed were ignored by Dr. Smyth. I feel my symptoms and worries were neglected during the consultation. I was told to catch a taxi down the street, but when I went to the location I was instructed to walk to the taxi service had no idea what the voucher from Polyclinic was for. Dr. Smyth told me she would be calling me that afternoon to follow up with me. She never called, her office never called and when I called the office I was told I could not be transferred to speak with Dr. Smyth.Guess what? I still received the bill from the Polyclinic and have yet been contacted for follow up. This health provider experience I had was absolutely horrible. I thought a medical professional would take chest pains seriously.Save yourself time, go elsewhere. I left the office feeling like my symptoms and questions were neglected.

Update for 2019. Im not sure why there are so many bad reviews of this spot. Dr. McCabe is excellent, as is Grace Chao. Insurance and billing is always going to be messy no matter where you go (UW Medicine is the absolute worst). This spot is convenient if you work downtown, and I often have little difficulty getting an appointment. Theres a pharmacy in the basement (Bartells), and staff have always been kind. Immunizations and lab is also a breeze.
