I went in wanting vagina nail art and I really appreciate Minh and my nail tech for listening and coming through with the best version of vagina art that they could. My only issue was, I had 4 nails that I wanted gold foil on, which was simple compared to the vagina art, but only 2 days after getting my nails done the gold started fading/chipping. No other parts of any of my nails chipped except the foil, so that’s incredibly disappointing after spending the amount I spent. If you’re looking to get nail art done here, I’d recommend going elsewhere.The place was nice and the people were too.

Best manicure I’ve ever had. I generally avoid getting my nails done because I’ve never had a great experience. I actually decided to go here because I had a bad experience last week going to another place with a friend, and Urban Nail Box had great reviews. They definitely redeemed manicures for me. The service was so quick, flawless, professional, and my nails look great. Will definitely be going back.

I find myself really lazy when it comes to writing a review but I really have to say something since this place is a real GEM.I am impressed by their sanitation and sterilization process. They took everyone health seriously which I really appreciate it.Booking is conveniently reserved online, but when I need to modify my appointment, I was immediately assisting by the staff. The space is sparkly clean and staffs are very professional and friendly. I love my nails and usually got compliments for the arts from the artists.Thank you and I highly recommend this place to everyone.

No massage spa chairs for the pedicure. Was hoping to relax a bit more, the chairs werent comfortable to me and having a pedicure in a bucket was a turn off. The staff was really nice and gave me an extra pillow to help with comfort. My nails look great as well, I just dont think id get a pedicure here again. Manicure was fine.

Just went for the first time for a pedicure! I had an appointment and was seated right away in their beautiful and clean salon. The staff was friendly, sweet, and attentive, and gave me a great pedicure! They made me feel very comfortable and relaxed and like they actually wanted me to be there. Ill definitely be going back!

I got my nails done here two days before my wedding and Rachel did an excellent job on my french manicure gel nails. I have attached a picture that was taken three days after my appointment and even now one week later they still look good! They were also very sensitive to COVID 19 precautions.

I tried this spot a couple of times last year and didnt get to review it, but now while in the middle of the pandemic I returned after everything started reopening and I gotta say Im beyond pleased.Besides everyone always being super nice, they keep the place seriously clean. I mean, I knew they were clean before covid and thats the only reason I returned while things are not back to normal yet. They have been great at social distancing, cleaning, and making people feel safe.

My gel mani lasted for less than a week before chipping off, which is pretty disappointing for $40. (I’m working from home at a computer, so no reason it should have chipped so quickly.) On the plus side, they seem to be taking cleanliness and safety seriously. Everything was disinfected and single use and my appointment was started right on time.

I had an excellent experience here! The covid protocols in place made me feel very safe. There was plenty of room between stations to move around people.The staff were friendly and the ambiance was relaxing.

COVID SAFETY (5/5): Overall the nail salon is super chic and clean. They make you wash your hands immediately upon entering, and everyone is seated 6 feet apart, and theres plexiglass between you and your nail technician. It felt as safe as it could be in there. Masks required of course.EXPERIENCE (5/5): I came here with a friend to get our nails done before my engagement shoot. Bonnie was my nail technician, as I requested a nail design and shes one of the ladies who are great at that. I pulled up the pinterest photo I had saved, showed it to her, and she was able to copy the floral design pretty spot on! The only thing that could be improved during the service was the cuticle care -- she did scrub off my cuticles pretty harshly and it was a bit painful.CUSTOMER SERVICE (6/5!): On our way out my friend accidentally bumped her foot on her car and 3 of her toenails got ruined. Nail polish hadnt dried. Tragic!! But the salon allowed her to come back later that week to get it fixed at NO additional charge! They really take care of their customers and want you to be happy. So rest assured that they will do what it takes to make it right. Also if you get gel nails here they will remove it for free - which is AWESOME.

I’m SHOCKINGLY disappointed in this businesses “policy’s” in addition to the employee and manager behavior. I’m a local nurse who’s work involves regular exposure to both COVID positive and high risk patient populations. After developing some malaise and headache I decided to cancel my appointment and delay until I received a negative screen, in addition to working remotely until after this test. Because i am cautious and conscientious about keeping others safe. I did this 24 hours prior to my appointment. WITHIN THEIR 24 HOUR CANCELATION POLICY! I was regardless charged a VERY high fee. Then when I called regarding this mistake I was told that I had never called them or left a VM so the charge would stand. I had to send a screenshot with evidence of my call, forcing me to prove I wasn’t LYING. This is rude, unprofessional, and UNSAFE for staff and clients. Consider taking your business elsewhere.

Got a service 12/22. This was a gift from my fiancé for my birthday. The place is decorated very well and it’s comfy! However my service wasn’t great. My nail design looked sloppy. My nail artist seemed new which could have been the issue. There was gel on my fingers below my nails.My fiancé forgot to book a nail design but called ahead to see if they could add it on. The person working the front desk said that they could. But I didn’t expect this sloppy job. My fiancé paid a lot of money for the nail service today and I’m very disappointed.EDIT they called me after seeing this review to make it right. I appreciate they care about their customers and I will definitely be returning!

I’ve been coming here for a few months now. The technicians all do a fantastic job, and the shellac manis I’ve had here all last with very minimal chipping for 2 weeks minimum (unlike other places, whose shellac manis at 2 weeks start feeling dire). The only downside is a relatively limited color selection, for both shellac and regular. Also, they’re a little pricier than most places, but worth it IMO. Finally, love a nail salon that uses (and then sticks to) appointments! Predictability of the time I’ll be away is super important for me, with little kids at home. Thanks, UNB! 🙌🏻

Lovely little shop in Ballard. I got a gel manicure on May 24 (almost 2 weeks ago) with Kevin and it has zero chips! With other places I almost always have chips or lifting in the edges by the end of one week. Kevin was fantastic - he took his time and was very thorough - my nails look perfect.I usually go to Bella but wanted to try someplace new because even though Bella says they take reservations they’ve never actually honored that.It’s awesome that you can make a reservation at Urban Nail Box and they’re on time!!!The only thing that would improve it (in my opinion) is the addition of massage chairs for the pedicure stations.Love this place ❤️

So pleasantly surprised by this place! Clean, bright, and without those bulky and awkward massage chairs and terrible nail salon smell. I wanted to get my nails done for my upcoming wedding and was worried about them chipping before the ceremony. Rachel suggested a gel manicure. I didn’t realize until half way through that the appointment would have to be extended a bit to accommodate this new service, but they seamlessly switched staff around so I would have a pleasant experience, despite my last minute change. My nails were beautifully done. Rachel was also very personable and professional during my entire appointment. Highly recommend this place!

This is my new go-to nail salon! I had a gel essential manicure and essential pedicure with Kevin and he greatly exceeded my expectations. He made sure I was comfortable throughout the service and did an incredible job. My nails look amazing and I left feeling pampered and relaxed. The studio itself is gorgeous. Very private, relaxing space with a chic minimalist design. Definitely not your average nail salon.

This is a great new salon in Ballard! I usually get gel manicures and regular pedicures. For what that combo usually costs my biggest hang up with nail salons is feeling rushed. Ive been to a lot of nail salons and I like to actually relax when getting my nails done. Rachel does a FANTASTIC job at creating a truly relaxing atmosphere in her private salon with a very cute, clean and bright space. I felt super pampered with her use of hot stones and all natural supplies. She makes time for her services which I greatly appreciated. I also got a 20% salon opening discount and a gift certificate. She also does stamp cards for services. It was seriously such a treat getting my nails done by Rachel. Highly recommend.

Cant believe that it took me so long to discover this place. The staff are very sweet, and friendly. It doesnt feel chaotic like other typical nail place. So relaxing!!!!!

I have thought a great deal before writing this post. I can see this is a very popular place and many have experienced lovely experiences here.Unfortunately my experience was completely disappointed. It took my technician almost an hour to finish my pedicure and the job was terrible. While the massage and treatment steps were very short, I also noticed that she spent most of her time just to prepare and apply polish. My feet were so tired and it was also painful while she cleaned under my toes. I can tell that my technician was lacking of experiences and communication skills compared to the rest of team.

I went in for a manicure pedicure and was delighted to have a private session with the owner. Shes very nice to talk with and creates a relaxing atmosphere with her manner and gentle touch. I appreciated the attention to decoration, music, and relaxation. Shes not interested in cramming in as many clients as possible, but in creating a quality experience. I usually feel ancy with how long it takes to get a mani pedi, but the time flew by at Urban Nail Box and I came out feeling refreshed. I highly recommend this place!
