Embedded in a residential neighborhood, the Homestead is welcoming and comfy. The hall is spacious and neat and the stage well-constructed. It also has a good-sized side yard. Went here for an event and its the perfect place for a smallish large intimate gathering. Limited to no parking in front, parked at surrounding blocks. Enjoyed this beautiful community space.

Small venue. Vaccination and masks required. Windows were open in September; not sure how long that will continue through the winter.Really enjoyed the intimate, comfortable atmosphere and good acoustics.

Tucked into a classic Ballard residential neighborhood, youd hardly notice it as a music venue/community center, but that it is! This lovely venue is medium-small with a nice large stage and not a bad seat in the house. Count on an intimate experience with a roster of lots of local talent and the occasional touring national acts. Attending an event here feels like youve been invited to a secret special event ... and maybe you have!

Saw the incredible Rose Cousins perform here. This was the first time Ive been to BH. My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed the intimate space for this performance. The sound was good for this piano and guitar act. Ballard is lucky to have a venue for these kinds of acts. Only challenge can be parking as this is a residential neighborhood. We found a spot a block over.

Intimate venue with good sound. Seating is chairs on a more or less flat floor (its an older building). Because of its size, lines of site are good regardless except from the wings.

Nice venue, but parking was not optimal. However, knowing that this place is in Ballard, thats to be expected. Give yourself lots of time to get there and find a good seat.

This is an awesome new community arts space tucked away on a quieter street north of the heart of Ballard. It is managed by Abbey Arts, which hosts incredible, unique, and intimate shows and performances at the Fremont Abbey and St. Marks Cathedral (and now this new spot). Expect shows where everyone is actually listening, and the artists feel comfortable making a genuine connection with their audience. This is not your typical loud, crowded concert venue. Ballard Homestead has a great stage and beautiful hardwood floors, and is a flexible space that can host a variety of different events.

Only loses one star due to parking (residential area). Other than that, this venue is a real treasure! A big old estate home turned into a funky performance space, including a downstairs with a kitchen and media area, and a small stage upstairs complete with lighting, sound board, and all the trimmings. Wish it were more affordable to rent (I looked into it), but for the amenities they are offering, I am sure the price is appropriate for many events. Hope to attend another event there in the future.

Awesome venue. It is small and quiet and I feel like you can actually sit and listen to the music, whereas other venues are very loud and not everyone is paying attention. I had a great experience here.

Nice small venue good for an intimate show near enough to market to get some food and drinks before a show. Took a star off because it can get rather hot on a summer evening and no bar for the having drinks at show crowd.

The Homestead feels like a place youve been to your whole life as soon as you walk in the door. It has that home-y, warm feeling. Its a restored church, which you can tell from the large windows on the north and south ends of the room. I like that the stage is in the corner, which reminds me of the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, which also has an open wood floor. Theyve had some good acoustic and folksy shows here, check it out.

I love this venue both as a musician and an audience member! It is a lovely intimate space nestled in a neighborhood - its like youre in someones house, but WAY better. The Fremont Abbey Arts Center curates incredible shows and experiences, and theyve done it again with this little gem of a place.

This is a medium sized event space. Upstairs and downstairs. Downstairs has a kitchen. There are four single stall bathrooms, two on each floor. There is a ramp to get to the upper level around the back. There is a sort of a stage upstairs. The strangest part is that the upstairs floor is sloped. There is ample seating. My event had 200+ people and it was fairly tight.
