Stephen Wadsworth, one of the Massage Therapists at Health First Chiropractic, does a technique called Manual Ligament Therapy. Its kind of a cross between massage and physical therapy. Stephen has changed my life! I was mostly disabled, not reliably able to walk half a mile. Now I hike and even go backpacking! The entire staff at Health First is friendly and patient. The office is clean and conveniently located. Theres even a few parking spaces! On Capitol Hill, thats a big time and money saver.

Unfortunately out of network for me so it is quite expensive, but they worked with me to do a payment plan. This is the first time I’ve seen lasting results from chiropractic work in 10 years of seeing various providers. Location has a few parking spots which is convenient, staff is friendly and helpful!

Aixa is an amazing healer. She has helped me tremendously with pain in my low back as well as my wrist. She is so friendly and knowledgeable and focuses on long term goals as opposed to simply treating the symptom. The clinic is new and clean and nice. They use cone beam CT imaging which is a 3D picture of your neck and allows them to give the best adjustments. Dr. Aixa is so awesome! Loves her patients and always smiling!

Dont go here if you need immediate help! My rib was out of place and Dr. Santos didnt help me in the slightest, only made me feel foolish.She was very kind, but I went to Dr. Santos with very specific back pain looking for answers & I received no help. It was my first time there so most of the appointment was intake, but I made it very clear that I was in a lot of pain, it wasnt something normal and I was looking for immediate answers and relief. I was dealing with very bad pain in my middle back that I now know (thanks to a different chiropractor) was a rib out of place. I tried my best to explain to her the specific pain I was in to no avail, she only focused on my neck. I understand that her approach to chiropractic care is holistic- but I was dealing with very intense pain! I felt utterly ignored and duped.By the end of the session I came to understand that she wasnt gonna do any adjustments at all until our next appointment so I asked her what I could do to mitigate my back pain until that next time. She told me to take a bath and to stretch. I told her that it hurt to walk, sit, twist, lift things and sneeze and she said dont do those things. I left the office so incredibly upset, in the same amount of pain with no answers as to what the pain was, and out $200. All that being said, I will not be returning.I ended up going to Atlas Chiropractic the next day and within minutes the Doctor told me I had messed up rib and was able to get started moving it back.My visit to Health First was an utter waste of time and money.

I have been receiving chiropractic treatment from Dr Lenarz for an inner ear problem that I had struggled with for years . I was diagnosed with meniere’s disorder after ENT consultations and hearing tests , CT scans etc . I received the diagnosis but no treatment plan other than medications for vertigo . After living with debilitating vertigo I researched various options for treatment and read about the Blair technique. I made an appointment with Dr. Lenarz and after his assessment received adjustments that literally changed my life . I now require adjustments occasionally and have lived 5 years with no episodes of vertigo . Dr Lenarz is caring , professionaland as I said previously he changed my life .

I first went to Dr. Lenarz Sedro Woolley office 10 years ago for neck and shoulder pain. They helped me after a few appts. I started feeling shoulder pain again last month so I went back. Dr. Lenarz did an adjustment and after that fist appt. I felt allot better. It was so bad before that appt. I couldnt even sleep in my bed. I just need to say that the whole staff there is great and caring.

I’ve had a great experience with Dr. Lenarz and the entire staff here, including Dr. Santos when she has treated me on occasion.The service here is great, they consistently do tests/assessments to help you have more objective judgements of how you’re feeling and performing. While many chiropractors do “high velocity” work (think: professional back cracking so to speak), they focus more on subtle movements around the atlas (neck) that feels significantly safer and though slow, clearlyImpactful.The office logistics are also very helpful, they can set you up with a google calendar to subscribe to so that your appointments are always up to date and available. In addition, there’s a parking lot nearby with a few free parking spots.My insurance provider unfortunately isn’t taken here (aetna) but they still bill it out to insurance to make it easy to keep a running record which not every DC will do. I will say, aetna tends to say the firm “overcharges” since they are out of network. It is expensive, no doubt, but I’d you’re able to afford it I think it’s worth the investment in your health.

I was with my previous chiro for over 20 years, when he retired he transferred his patients to Dr. Lenarz. I must admit that I was hesitant. But, regardless, I made an appointment to try this office out. I was impressed upon entering. The staff is attentive (they knew my name by my second appoitnment), the lobby is clean and comfortable, and Drs. Lenarz and Santos are wonderful. First of all I will only for to a doctor of Chiropractic that does the Blair Upper Cervical Technique. Second, get the Xray! Dr. Lenarz has the latest and greatest technology at his fingertips and his Xray machine is incredible. I was going to a chiropractor for many years who was adjusting me incorrectly. So much that my body just went in that direction. Dr. Lenarz did the Xray saw immediately what was wrong and fixed me. It was hell for the first month, I was in a lot of pain. But once he corrected all that was wrong, I felt a million times better. I am so thankful.

Ive been to many different chiropractors over the years and have liked a few of them. But Dr. Lenarz is different! In a good way. He is very personable, compassionate, and really takes educating his patients seriously--as well as making them feel better. Plus, the Blair Upper Cervical technique makes a lot of sense to me to bring about long-term health and not just pain relief! Ive always had a weird assumption that Chiropractic care would be an uncomfortable neck cracking experience. For my first Chiropractic experience though Dr. Mychal Beebe was a really great find. The Blair technique is quite gentle and she really takes the time to run through everything you should or might want to know about the process. The staff are superb in all regards. Everything related to insurance, scheduling or changes and questions was taken care of really quickly and in an accommodating way. So all around its a really great place and experience!

Dr Lenarz is a wizard! I have actually been to other amazing chiropractors who have studied under him and hes the original. The Blair technique that is used is much less invasive and more affective than other types of chiropractic. Go in and feel better. The name says it all.

I experienced headaches for years (and took Advil daily). I would occasionally see my physical therapist for help and did this for years. Im so happy I met Dr. Bebee at my local running store over a year ago. Within 2 months of treatment I started to see results. Health First Chiropractic in Seattle and Marysville has truly changed my life. Ive always been leery of chiropractic work as the stereotypical cracking and popping is unsettling and often becomes a life-long commitment. What Health First does is very different, and is specifically called Blair chiropractic. For about a year, I was struggling with headaches and migraines coming on twice a week causing me to often have to lay down at work or even go home for the day. My neck often felt like it could barely hold up my head. It was exhausting. I’m writing the review for my last year’s experience in this place.I went there because I bought Groupon ticket. The groupon covered a free consultation and whole body massage. The massage is great, and I really like the lady did the massage( I don’t remember her name though). After the free consultation, I was told that I had bad body alignment and need many treatments to correct it. Very time I went there, they made me wait for half to an hour after my appointment time, and I saw a lot of parents around, there was once a white lady came in later than me, but she got to see the doctor before me, though it was over half hour later than my appointment, I don’t if it’s because they are the same race while I am Asian. They charged me consultation fee that I was not expected, and the first treatment was a simple click on my neck that took just a few second, and one treatment is done. I did not feel anything change buts just wasted around $250 for the consultation fee and one “treatment” fee.

I have avoided going to chiropractors who were upper cervical focused because I thought I needed full spine adjustments.A friend referred me to Dr. Lenarz. Dr. Michael Lenarz at Health First Chiropractic Seattle is a godsend. My troubles started June 7, 2018 when I woke up too intense pain shooting down my left arm with tingling all over from the shoulder blade all the way down to the fingers at 4am in the morning. I hoped it would go away for the first week, even had a local chiropractor look at me and adjust me. I couldn’t sleep at night as lying down increased the pain level and lived on Norco(painkillers). After the first week I made an appointment with Dr. Lenarz even though it is an hour drive into Seattle. He examined me & took x-rays of my neck even though the pain was in my left arm & hand. I only say minimal improvement after the first 2 visits (Dr. Lenarz was out of the office for a week during this time). However on the 3rd adjustment is when the “magic” happened. It only feels like a little bump to the neck. But a few hours after that adjustment my pain levels that were constant had decreased by 80%. I actually slept in my bed that night for the first time in 3 straight weeks. Physical Therapy had been working on my left arm & hand to no avail. Thank you Dr. Lenarz for getting to the problem and not just treating the symptoms! After to an MRI, the report said “severe” narrowing of the left neural foramen. Basically that nerve to the left hand was cut off. Because of Dr Lenarz I DO NOT have to have surgery as the Orthopedic doctors suggested. My pain is 98% improved now. Upper Cervical Chiropractic has saved my life. I might not fully understand how it works, but Dr. Lenarz does. Thank you Health First Chiropractic Seattle.

Dr. Lenarz and his team are like miracle workers! I have a neurological condition, and could barely walk when I first came into the office. With regular treatment I am now able to walk, stand longer, and I was even able to dance again after two years of not being able to! Yay! I have been receiving chiropractic care from Dr. Lenarz off and on since 1994...he is the only doctor I have ever recommended to anyone. His knowledge of the spine and his experience in effectively adjusting it is unsurpassed. If you havent researched him...you should...he is certified at the Advanced Instructor Level by the Blair Upper Cervical Chiropractic Society, as well as authored, The Chiropractic Way, (Bantam Books, 2003). This was the first introductory book about chiropractic, produced by a major publisher, in the history of the chiropractic profession. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Sherman College of Chiropractic in 1987 and he completed the Blair Chiropractic Primary and Advanced Trainer Certification in 2007. He was chosen as Chiropractor of the Year for the Blair Society in 2003. He was also awarded Chiropractor of the Year from Sherman College of Chiropractic in 2012.Lenarz is founder of The Seattle Upper Cervical Research Institute, and Health First Chiropractic, with four offices throughout Washington State, and co-founder of Dynamic Life Chiropractic, serving people in Michigan. He currently owns The Chiropractic Way Consulting firm, working with chiropractors throughout North America. I came to see Dr. Lenarz at Health First Chiropractic in late January, 2016, at the Capitol Hill location. I had recently undergone extensive physical therapy, nerve conduction studies, and seen a number of specialists in an effort to determine the cause of pain and numbness in my right fingers, hand, and wrist. I had my doubts about chiropractic care, having never seen a chiropractor before and not knowing much about the science behind chiropractic. However, after nearly a dozen doctors, physical therapists, and specialists couldnt determine the cause of my symptoms, and with much prompting from my fiancé, I decided to see a chiropractor.Dr. Lenarz is extremely professional, kind, and courteous. On my first visit, he took multiple x-rays of my spine and spent lots of time explaining subluxation and how chiropractic care could alleviate my symptoms. After my first adjustment, the results were almost immediate--feeling returned to my fingers, and after seeing him for several months, I am nearly symptom-free.The front desk staff has always been kind and accommodating for me, especially Linnea. Health First Chiropractic accepts my insurance, and even after Id used all of my insured visits, the per-visit price is reasonable and they even do advance-payment discounts. I like that they always have good quality tea available while I wait to see Dr. Lenarz, and the relaxation room is very relaxing. I would (and have) recommended Health First Chiropractic to many of my friends. If youre looking for a top-notch Blair chiropractor, Dr. Lenarz is excellent.

Ive been coming here for treatment for over three years. I felt very cared for under dr Beebe and now dr Lenarz. The staff has always been helpful, professional and courteous. As a massage therapist I also feel confident referring clients, family and friends to dr Lenarz. I believe the Blaire technique of upper cervical chiropractic is safe, precise, and ultimately gives out bodies the best chance at healing from various pathologies. Dr Lenarz, who I met through a Harborview... back surgeon. The medical surgeon recommended that I work with Dr Lenarz before considering surgery.I have had a bad back for the better part of a decade. Extreme pain was my daily experience and has completely ruined my active life. I literally did not move day to day before Health First Chiropractic.I have worked with Dr Lenarz for eight weeks...I have just spent my 10th day pain free...It is a miracle!!!I have a lot more work to do with Dr Lenarz. He is a very first class healthcare professional.
