Really like The Polyclinic Ballard - Dr. Salib is probably the best doctor Ive ever had. He knows his stuff, and his manner with you as a patient is soothing and comfortable. I havent experienced any issues with billing or payments like others described, and Ive also been impressed with the MyChart system and the video visits. My prescriptions are also ready ASAP after my appointments, so consider some of the other complaints with a grain of salt I guess

Staff are great but billing is a nightmare you have to deal with for EVERY. SINGLE. VISIT. avoid going here unless you like being regularly brought to tears and spending nearly a part time jobs worth of time unpaid dealing with their billing department doing the absolute worst job possible under every circumstance

Updating review to 4 stars based on overall experience/outcome. Could be 5 stars, but the amount of hoops needed to jump through to get everything sorted out was excessive.Visited for a dermatology appointment in April.First off, doctor is great. Fast, thorough, and calls you back.Facilities are very nice and support staff at clinic are great too. This issue arises with what happens behind the scenes and with customer service. Despite procedures being recommended and documented as non cosmetic, the claims were denied; therefore not subject to insurance negotiated rates. Rather than clinic resubmitting claims, a bill for the full service was received from PolyClinic. Upon calling customer service for an explanation, I was brushed off and told it was because I had a high deductible health plan. I pushed back given the claim was flagged as not covered and wasn’t even applying to deductible, which just got more push back. PolyClinic didn’t help get things resolved until a negative review was written. Now they have been super responsive and even got the doc involved (which shouldn’t have to be the case as they have better things to do than deal with billing disputes). So I’d sum it with with:Good medical servicesNot good billing practices

Trying to get a script refilled by any doc at polyclinic is a nightmare- they have some system in place where your my chart - private messages to your doc or docs assistant- goes to a central pharmacy person to re-fill- and no less that half the time they fail to do it within 72 hours promised-and heaven help if you have a question- getting an appointment with my doc is booked out 3 months for in person- If you need care Id say youd get more attention at a walk-in clinic. This place, which used to be good, is now just a mess- the docs are the money making machines and they worked them too hard over loading them with clients (we pay for or earn our insurance- we are clients - period) and the business end is just about how much can they pile on billing - AVOID-

Excellent! I attended a physical exam here, saw a specialist and had some blood work. Zero wait time and excellent quality of care from intelligent caring medical professionals.

Very aggressive billing. I went in for an annual skin check and all was OK until I got the bill. Because the Dr. mentioned a couple things outside of an annual check, the Polyclinic is refusing to code this as a preventive exam. I communicated to Polyclinic that I had no control over what the Dr. said and did not request the Dr.s opinion on anything outside of what I scheduled my appointment for. They did not care, said this happens all the time, and that I owe $260. Beware!

Received a voicemail from my childs doctor. Returned the call no only to get a rude, and unhelpful operator who told me she could not redirect my call to any doctors office, including my childs doctor who just left a message. Pathetic service and not helpful. Polyclinic needs new phone operator.

I recently went here for an initial check-up to start my medical history as a new patient. When I entered, I was greeted by a friendly lady next to the door who did a quick COVID-19 test. After, I waited in line for about 10 seconds until one of the receptionists in the front welcomed me. After introducing myself, I was given a form to fill out until the doctor could see me. Within minutes, I was greeted by the assistant and roomed. The assistants and doctor were friendly and professional during the actual check-up.Overall, I had a quick and smooth visit at this location and got a positive impression of the staff. I look forward to having this location as my “home base” for health.

I dont understand the low reviews. I had my first appointment there today (podiatry) and the Clinic and Staff were great. Super clean facility, Covid protections in place, I was checked in efficiently and politely. In no time at all taken for my appointment on time, and out of there in 40 minutes. I parked in the lot below and didnt even have to pay I was there too short a time.

Don’t let the pretty facility fool you. They’re so incredibly unorganized, calls aren’t returned, dr doesn’t fill prescriptions, even was given an incorrect prescription ...geez guys get your act together!

I called in to see a doctor about a specific request, confirmed on the phone with the associate that the physician would be able to help me, and then came to my appointment. I live downtown and do not drive, so getting to Ballard was not convenient. When I arrived I was told by the physician that they would not be able to help me and the doctor that could was not in office. It was a complete waste of my time and I am obviously not valued as a patient. I recommend to go elsewhere for your medical needs.

My first visit went great. From temp check upon entering, to checking in, a lovely waiting reception area that had chair signs for distancing, and about a five minute wait to see the doctor.I have zero complaints of the Ballard clinic

Nice facility, but contacting them over the phone is consistently a nightmare. Hold times are frequently 5-10m+ to speak with a human, and its only to a switchboard, where you are immediately transferred again. Not acceptable for a clinic.

Great doctors but hard to get an appointment scheduled when you actually have to talk to someone. I was transferred 3 times on a 10 minute call just to schedule an appointment for my mini me!! Poor system in place.

Dont understand the poor reviews. Been coming in here for more than ten years and have had nothing but exemplary care and service. Ive never had to wait for more than a few minutes. Docs and nurses are excellent. Billing department could use some improvement but I wouldnt let that stop me from using this clinic.

Received extremely poor customer service. They only care about the money and not providing excellent care. I highly recommend to find another place if you want good patient care.

Polyclinics billing is terrible, and Id recommend never, ever using Polyclinic because of this. They make mistakes all the time, bill insurance incorrectly and bill late, and are difficult to communicate with, making it take months to get billing mistakes fixed. They overbill and bill very high prices for basic services. When I asked to get the cost of a vaccine beforehand they had difficulty giving me a price, and then later billed it at 2x what they told me.Their doctors seem good, but its simply a huge hassle to deal with Polyclinic because of deceptive billing practices (a pre-estimate of charges should be something any business can provide).

The doctors here are ok, it’s the staff that makes everything more difficult than it should be. I’ve been going here for years and had them mess up all kinds of things including sending my samples to a lab I wasn’t covered at when I had a very common Premera plan, admitting it was their fault, doing nothing to correcting it and it costing me over $1,000 more than it would have if they sent it to a lab I was covered at. I’ve had other issues with making sure this didn’t happen again, scheduling, and trying to see if they could do anything to credit my account for their mistake and had multiple managers say they would call me back multiple times only to never hear back. I even had one manager, Sarah, tell my doctor she returned my call about a concern I had and said she actually talked to me which NEVER happened. She completely made up a conversation to make herself look to my doctor. Her manager Kristin was supposed to be looking into something for me, I emailed her documents, she confirmed receipt and said she would work on it within the next few days. After months of me emailing her multiple times via our original email thread, she has not responded once, after she said she would look into it and do what she could to help. I don’t know if it’s a bad work environment, low standards or a staff that is overworked, but there have been multiple occasions where they’ve made things more complicated and more costly for me. I think it’s time to find a new doctor simply because they staff is too incompetent or uncaring.
