Jessica is a wonderful and caring physician. It is hard to find a Rheumatologist who listens well, cares about the patient, pro-active in their care and always there when you need them. Jessica is all that and more. I feel very blessed to have found her. This review is long overdue.

Told me the machines used to run the blood test that I had done must have been miss calibrated. You would think if my numbers were off or seemed suspicious in any way you would just redo the blood work. But that wasnt done it was written off as nothing. I had to take my blood to a naturopathic doctor to find out that I had Hashimotos

She is Dr. Trent Smiths nurse)IF I could give ZERO STARS I would. I was treated at this office for a disease/disorder that I didnt have & never did have (verified by Mayo Clinic) and I came close to death due to their INSISTENCE that I needed CellCept to which I had 25 side effects from & landed in an OR while good ole Dr. Smith insisted I double or I could no longer be his patient. He was on vacation when it activated the often fatal CMV (virus). My low-grade fever over more than several months was ignored by Jessica Arkin & Dr. Smith.Dr. Trent Smith was my Rheumatologist, but after a while he pawned off onto Jessica. Dr. Smith ordered labs & she told me to NOT get the labs that HE ordered, get hers. Said that were practically the same. (They were not). I had a family member with me for another set of ears as a witness since I was so ill . She made errors on my discharge papers & referral to a Rituxan lab that couldve cost me my life as I was highly allergic to Tylenol. Other errors on same pages (which I still have original copies) and they were for another patient. (HIPPA) She got flustered over the phone & said she didnt know how those orders got there. I was highly frustrated with her uncaring defensive remarks, was put on hold for 23 minutes while Dr. Smith set up his recordings and I DID raise my voice to her & who wouldnt after the errors. She dismissed me as a patient )with Dr. Smith hovering in the background) and within days a USPS Certified Letter arrived at my door rom Dr. Smith with LIES as the reason for my dismissal. LONG waits in the office & on phone. STAFF issue presented to Dr. Smith was taken care of by him by giving me his Office Managers card & said to take it up with HER. Really !!! Like..shouldnt that be HIS concern? Not for me to do his legwork. I could go on, but if you value your life, please watch your OWN back. You are not going to get that value in this office. He also is quick to refer you to his buddy Dr. Santanakrishnan at AZ Center for Lung Diseases. Dr. Smith Violated my HIPPA Right & Jessica Arkin was well aware.

She always listens. Tells me what Im doing wrong. My only complaint is that when I call for a medicine it takes 5 or 6 days for them to respond and its cuz Ive called them. I then find out that the same doctor that is always on vacation was on vacation AGAIN so they got backed up. Sher called me personally to apologize

Jessica Arkin is nice enough, but the office is horrible. They dont follow up, rarely reply to prescription renewal requests from my pharmacy, and when Im due for a visit they withhold prescriptions and dont call me to tell me I need an appointment. I call and the recording tells me there is a 2 minute wait, and 9 minutes later Im still on hold.Walking into an empty waiting room I still had to wait 45 minutes to see Jessica. Im so unhappy with this office as a whole, and do not have any alternative nearby where I live. Really, really bad.

I was referred to a Rheumatolgoist and saw Jessica Arkin. After discussing things with her, she ordered the standard blood work, titer testing, etc. My follow up appointment was to go over the results of the blood work. I waited back in the room for a while before she came in and apologized because she had to go over the results with the doctor. She told me that the lab did not do the titer test, even though she ordered it, so she told me that she didnt feel comfortable diagnosing me with anything and that if I had something like Lupus, it wasnt active right now. If a patient who is experience intense physical pain comes to you, and you order the blood work and the lab doesnt do it, wouldnt you reorder the labs somewhere else? Wouldnt you do something about it?I guess not. I was told to come back in a year and do testing to see if anything changes. After I got home, I went on and looked at my labs myself and discovered a few different things that had been flagged as abnormal levels. I waited for months to never see the actual doctor of the practice and to have Jessica Arkin completely dismiss my concerns and my lab work.My symptoms have become much worse and now there are even more flags in lab work that other doctors are actually running for me. When I tell people or other medical professionals about my experience here, they usually respond with something along the lines of thats unacceptable! and I cant agree enough with that statement. If anyone ends up having to go to this office, I suggest being firm and assertive in your care and to check up on your own lab work from the lab companys website before your follow up appointment. Both my Mom and I left with a lot of questions either unanswered or answered in a very non-committal way that confused us more.I left this doctor feeling disappointed, disheartened and still in pain with zero answers and a hundred questions.
