Wonderful experience! excellent service! waiting on the lotion to get restocked so I can order! I was with a group of 25 fabulous ladies a we had a ball! All the service were fantastic! I cant wait to visit again!

Spa Avania is a incredible. It is an absolute must if you are in the Scottsdale area. I cannot say enough good things about the spa and everyone I came in contact with. Everyone was kind and helpful and my massages were exceptional. The spa itself was amazing and I couldnt get enough of the spa pool which is treated with minerals and salt so you skin feels amazing when you leave. I cant wait to go back for a girls weekend so we can spend all day enjoying the amenities.

The best resort massage I’ve ever had — truly DEEP tissue. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Just one note of caution: Understand that if you plan on using the hot tub it is OUTSIDE in the blazing sun. That might be great in January but not when I visited in July. 😬

The spa is definitely breath taking. They made you feel welcomed from the time you checked in, and then checked out. The massage was on time, mineral pool was as they said it would be. We were given drink vouchers since lunch was not offered to us. The entire staff, especially “Renee” was friendly and professional. My husband and I felt like we had “new bodies” when we left. This was my favorite spa experience to date. Mary did a great job of reflexology on my foot pain. I was able to come and go throughout the day, and the co-ed pool is very nice. I also liked the outdoor showers. Very clean facility, good staff. Hope to visit again!

It was a perfect day of pampering and relaxing. Spa Avania pays attention to the details; the quality of towels, robes and products…the locker attendants and provisions…all perfect. The facilities are gorgeous, the staff are professional and the treatments are divine!

My wife and I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency at Gainey Ranch for our honeymoon. We went to Spa Avania for a nice relaxing spa say. The spa is incredible. The people are all very friendly and professional. We each got a massage which was very relaxing. Their amenities also included hot/cold tubs, sauna, steam room, and a mineral pool. We sat by the mineral pool after our treatments and ordered lunch. The food was great and the service was outstanding. I highly recommend this Spa and if you happen to have Kami as your outdoor service attendant he will treat you like a king or queen.

Had never had a spa day before and I am so glad my first experience was at one of the best spas in town. Will definitely have to make this a more regular occurrence.

This Spa was absolutely beautiful and the treatments my husband and I received were 5 star! The Mneral Pool and hot tub was so relaxing and beautiful with a bonus that lunch and cocktails were offered! We will definitely be back soon!

Spa Avania is the best resort spa I have experienced. The staff are impacble with service and attention to detail. The grounds are truly luxurious. It is easy to spend the day using the multiple amenities available when you book a service.

My Spa Day at Avania was amazing from beginning to end. Every staff person there was very nice and always helpful. The mineral pool was refreshing, as was the jacuzzi. Lounging around the pool I ordered drinks and lunch- both were wonderful. And the pool attendant Komi was excellent- he always made sure you had everything you needed. I will be bringing my out of town guests here so we both can enjoy this delightful spa.

We enjoyed our time. We did the salt room and enjoyed the other amenities. My only complaint would be it took a while for us to get pool service and the food wasn’t very good and was definitely not worth the high price.

Wonderful service, we went for a massage and the facility allowed use of their pool and wellness center beforehand. Definitely worth the cost.Theres no real views from the spa and our day was crowded with several people loudly talking during most of our time there subtracting from the relaxing ambiance

It was ok. I had a massage and a facial. My massage therapist and estitician talked to me the entire time about their family. I wanted silence.

Spent that day at Spa Avania and had a wonderful time. Great massage, loved the property and all of its amenities. The staff was very nice and the food was yummy. I would highly recommend taking a day to staycation at this establishment.

Our experience at Spa Aviana today was exceptional- but the highlight was our poolside attendant Kami. He made sure we were taken care of and went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience. If not for anything else, we will be back to see him!

Got the salt room and that was fun, but was disappointed the hot tub spa was out of commission.... that was part of the main purpose of going. I even called ahead and they said it would be open. When I complained they didnt even offer a refund for any of it. Spent a lot of money for not being able to do everything intended. The food was good but drink was very small for the price, so was the portion sizes. Ive never spent over $60 and hadnt gotten halfway full. I guess it should be expected. The waiter guy passed me and ordered from someone else when I was waiting longer, so that was kind of annoying. Supposed to be a relaxing experience but some people were soooo loud having inappropriate religious conversations. And talking about other things that were way too loud to be talking about... like sexual experiences. I def didnt feel.more relaxed after leaving.

I LOVE massages and get them weekly. I got a deep tissue massage with Sabrina today and it was hands down the best deep tissue massage I’ve ever had! I would highly recommended!

I love this place, I have been to Spa Avania about 5 or 6 times and it never disappointing. The atmosphere is so calming and welcoming. I always feel pampered and well taken care of here. The masseuses are very skilled and talented, they are worth every penny of the price. I highly recommend the 90 hot rock massage, really any 90 massage. I have never tried the salon, but the mineral pool and all other amenities are superb.

I had a GREAT hot stone massage. Wonderful.I really enjoyed hanging out beforehand and after. Hot tub, amazing shower area, all of the amenities to spend a comfortable day of R & R. We also enjoyed the salt room experience. It was new to us and very therapeutic. We’ll go again.

Wonderful experience! Everyone was super friendly from the pool staff who took our drink orders to my masseuse. My massage was so relaxing. The pool area is also beautiful! The staff made sure we had plenty of water and even took photos for us. Would 10/10 recommend!

My only wish is that we had come earlier and stayed longer! One of the most beautiful spas I have ever been to, with amazing employees and massage therapists. I received a higher pressure massage (not quite deep tissue, but still got some knots out) with Stephen, and I left with zero neck pain after feeling tense for WEEKS. I would recommend for a relaxing afternoon, just be sure to get there early so you can enjoy the amenities!

Spa was great but lucky we had early appt so we got to spend the whole day and enjoy all the amentias that the spa had .They lacked on letting us know about the amenities when we called to book an appt but got lucky to know after we got to the place .So if you going to the spa make sure to have ample time so you can enjoy the amenities to the fullest.

Basic spa nothing special....odd attendant manners.... showed me to my locker etc. then attempted to stand off behind while I undressed...until I made it known he should move on...then in an attempt to use the mens private hot tub...I was surprised to see a women in it while attendants walked by and said or explained nothing to the female guest.... if this was Germany it would be cool but since this is not Im sure if I preceded to disrobe and enter the spa the unaware female guest would have been distressed as most Amercians are with the naked body...to end on a good note the massage I recieved itself was top notch

Best spa I have been at!! Went to a spa at Omni and by far I enjoyed myself more at this one. Has more amenities the cherry on top is that they have a Salt Room and a mineral pool!! It is definitely a must!!

Gorgeous Hotel. I had a massage set up and it was absolutely amazing. The facility is very tranquil and staff is extremely friendly. They have mineral pools, sauna, and steam room. Womens locker room is very tidy and clean so if you have time I would recommend spending time there and taking advantage of the amenities. I enjoyed it so much I booked a facial the very next morning and was not in the least bit disappointed.

Traveling for 3 weeks away from home, I found some needed me time and feel amazing and rejuvenated! The spa is private and very well cared for. There are employees constantly cleaning, replacing towels and water, but they are never in the way. The Amenities are wonderful, the shower is like nothing I’ve experienced, steam and dry sauna where my favorite. After my unique and relaxing Poultice massage and reflexology, I ended my visit with a wine and kale quinoa salad, just perfect. I woke up the next day feeling reset, thank you I needed that!

This place is beautiful and well designed. They offer robes and shoes. There are a host of amenities that can be enjoyed. Not sure if this is standard or not but I was a little put off from the fact they automatically charge a 20% gratuity for the servers/services even for 1 person being serviced. My son previously paid for the spa for me as a Christmas gift. All I added was a $10 sandwich. My bill totalled $45.80 bcuz of a $35 gratuity/service charge and not any taxes. I just wasnt expecting it so thats why I gave it 4 stars.

They have a great phoenix local program. My fiance and I got a couples massage and spent time in the facilities getting pampered. Ive been to a few spas in the phoenix area and this is definitely the best customer service for the price. It was raining so we didnt spend as much time there as planned.

Nice location for a day of pampering. My massage therapist was amazing - the perfect blend between a Swedish and deep tissue massage. I also enjoyed the outdoor mineral pool (which had plenty of bench seating, jets, and floating chairs) and pool side dining (menu had plenty of light / healthy eating options). I didnt get a chance to utilize the sauna or whirlpool but heard great things from the other guests. I do wish the sanctuary was quieter and less bright - everyone was talking loudly, constantly walking in and out to access the locker room, etc. and had floor to ceiling windows - not exactly a calming environment to get you in the right mindset for a massage. But other than that, I had a nice time and would visit this spa again.

Nice spa. Ladies showers, lockers, steam and sauna were very nice. Waiting area for treatments looks a.bit run down. Tea, water and snacks were a nice touch. Outdoor fireplaces with seating area were beautiful as were the treatment rooms! Would rather have an indoor jacuzzi, but it was beautifully designed for outdoors. Salt room didnt have any salt coming out of the machine... I was really looking forward to trying it. I was credited back the charge for the salt room. Staff and massage therapists were awesome!

Great massages! Pool area is small but really intimate. Great pours of wine, all the way to the brim! Would be nice to see some sweeter options on the list. The only real issue I had was that the pond by the pool smelled really bad at times when there was a breeze. It occasionally made sitting in a pool chair very unpleasant. It would also be nice to see the amount of plastic for food service reduced. Everything was served in take out containers and I couldnt figure out why. Great staff and amenities!

I enjoyed such an amazing day at the spa. I dont spoil myself very often and I sure was spoiled. To make it even better, this say was spent with three friends! From a soft cozy robe, to a relaxing cool room. Then an amazing facial that was one of the best I had. So often my facial is just that a facial, having my arms, hands, calves and feet massaged soaked in lotion as well was so relaxing. The mineral pool was the perfect temperature, and so relaxing. I even went from the hot tub to the cold plunge and yes, it was so very cold but Im glad I did it. The staff was amazing! The food was delicious! I look forward to the next time I have the opportunity to do this again!

The spa itself was very clean and well maintained. My friend and I both had excellent massages provided by very professional masseuses. My daughter and I each had a pedicure, massage, and facial over the course of three days, and enjoyed all the amenities the spa has to offer. The staff was amazing, accommodating, knowledgeable and generous. We loved the steam room with the chakra color therapy, the mineral pool, and the contrast of the hot and cold plunge. I really totally relaxed. I highly recommend this spa!

Used to be so much better! My wife and I (both Scottsdale locals) have been going to the Spa Avania for many years (10+) Not anymore. You can definitely see that they had cut back...towels cheaper..robes cheaper..maintenance slacking a bit BUT the main concern was the service. My wife and I had massages. Hers was fine. They asked me how mine was and, at my wifes urging, I mentioned I was not pleased. The massage was fair but her communication skills were lacking. So, I would have left it at that but the manager, Jennifer, contacted us for supposedly a followup to my concerns. I attempted a callback and left a voicemail message. No call back. I waited a week and again at the urging of my wife and son, I left another voicemail for Jennifer, yesterday morning. Still no callback. It is too bad, as Spa Avania WAS my wifes favorite spa.

This spa experience was absolutely fantastic! The massage was relaxing and comfortable. The steam and sauna were perfect. They delivered a delicious lunch to the relaxation area. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The spa areas were attractive and comfortable. There were tea, cold drinks and snacks available.Unfortunately , it was raining, so I didnt get to use the outdoor areas and pool, which looked beautiful from inside.

Very relaxing, massage was excellent. Great that you can pay for a massage and continue to use the remainder of the spas amenities the rest of the day. Would recommend going early or staying late in order to capitalize on all the spa has to offer!

So relaxing and personalized to fit my aches and pains.I would come back in a heart beat, I just live too far away.My advice, make a day of it when you go and enjoy all of the amenities this place has to offer.Four of us celebrated our 60th birthdays here and will always remember this special day!

The place was beautiful. Enjoyed relaxing at the spa and working out in the fitness room. The food and drink was disappointing though. As others have said the sandwiches weren’t that good. They appeared to be just microwaved. I picked the salad and it was in a plastic container but didn’t contain any lettuce. I got a cosmo and while it was okay it was a let down because for 14$ it came in a small plastic cup and wasn’t much.

Wonderful spa. Ive have visited Spa Avania now for 2 years in a row on a business trip and have been impressed. The star is friendly and helpful. The spa itself is beautiful and comfortable. Great outdoor/indoor area. Ive had both a facial and a massage and the therapist is gentle and very professional. I would recommend Spa Avania to anyone and hopefully visit is again!!

Over all experience was very good.Massage was 5 star. Oils and heated massage table. Choice of music and lighting a welcomed touch.The indoor shower was not cleared of glasses or towels of previous guests and the jets where not working properly. While showering one can easily be seen by passerby. The outdoor shower stalls where a very freeing and Zen experience but could use some sprucing up.The mineral pool - what more needs to be said. Beautiful skies above, warm healing swirls of water caressing tired muscle.The steam room was well maintained and fabulous. Towels were clean and plentiful, robes a bit big and awkward but nice, and beverage well stocked.I would return.

My daughters and I are gifted Spa Avania gift certificates for most holidays. We absolutely love this beautiful spa. We were greated with champagne recently. The mineral pool out back with the lily pond next to it. We were even there for the opening of the first lily this year. Jacuzzi outside in a private court yard, the cold plunge pool next to that. A sauna, a steam room, beautiful fireplaces and lounge chairs out near the pool. And the massages and facials are fabulous. But there is so much more. We ate by the fireplace last time it was a memory maker.

My daughter loved it. Everyone was very nice and they took their time/no rush. Mani/Pedi priced for stand alone spa. I know my wife would love it.

I went to the spa with a friend. We found a coupon on Groupon that made the cost of the hour massage half price. They have a salt room, hot tub and a mineral bath. We also had a glass of wine. The facilities were very nice. The only problem was the faucets in the shower, the water on hot and could not adjust it.

My husband, son and I spent the WHOLE day indulging ourselves at Spa Avania recently. We absolutely loved the mineral spa by the lotus pool. Beautiful atmosphere and extremely professional staff. Well done Spa Avania! I would highly recommend a day if you are in the Phoenix, Scottsdale area.

I have been here multiple times myself for a massage and the service is always excellent. Ive also gifted massages to others here. Its always my first choice.

Booked a spa day here as a birthday surprise for my friend. Heard this place had great customer service. Specifically told the girl it was a surprise and depended on my friend’s schedule. Turned out we both had to work the day of the appointment, and I wasn’t able to cancel until after business hours. They claim they called and left a voicemail but I never got one. Instead of being charged a cancellation fee like other five star spas I’ve been to, I was charged almost $1000.00 for a birthday gift I wasn’t even able to give my friend! Now instead of rescheduling, I will take her someplace else and NEVER come to Avania! I spoke with someone on the phone who informed me we were charged the full package including tips and service fees. What BULLCRAP. What terrible customer service! I’ve heard of shady resorts hiding all sorts of fees, but that was below the belt! Cannot express my disgust. Will return my business to the Joya Spa!

The service was wonderful and I would highly recommend it! However the front desk staff is really not smart. And theyre the worst kind of not smart - they think they are smart - and try to make you feel like you are the crazy one. Despite the dealings with the front desk staff - it was a wonderful and relaxing experience.

I had a wrap and it was my first ever. What a wonderful experience. The appointment included a facial. The steam felt good and the oils luxurious. If you’re looking for a first rate relaxation time it doesn’t get better than this!

Im must say my massage was very disappointing. Before starting I was asked what kind of pressure and I said medium/firm. I could barely feel this person massaging me! Also, she actually barely even massaged me in the first place! She used things like hot towels to distract from the fact that for a 60 minute massage, total massage time was about 10 minutes. I kept wondering when the massage was going to start. I said my neck was a pain point for me and she spent about 1 minute on my neck. Spas should be relaxing and the rooms should be warm and dark. My room was really bright and cold! Terrible experience, plus they get an automatic 19% gratuity! Crazy, what a waste of $400!!

Favorite Day Spa in Scottsdale!! I have enjoyed Spa Avania 7 or 8 times and never have been disappointed. Such a soothing tranquil retreat in the desert. Staff is very professional and I always have a great treatment. Probably my favorite area is the huge mineral pool which is always quiet and relaxing. Cant wait for my next visit!!

Had the very best 90-minute swedish massage ever! This facility was beautifully appointed and totally relaxing. The setting and appointments are gorgeous, classy and refined. Brandon, my masseur, provided an excellent service. For 18 months, I have suffered sciatic leg pain 24/7. After my treatment with Brandon, I walked out with no pain whatsoever in my legs! Hes a miracle worker! Thank you, Brandon! If ever I am back in The Phoenix area, I hope to return to this facility and to the hotel. It feels like you have entered another world ........true tranquility!

The facility is impeccably maintained. The mineral pool is something everyone should experience. And I love how you can get lunch right by the pool. This is a Spa where you want to come in a couple of hours before your service and stay a couple hours after. If I lived in Scottsdale, this would be a place Id visit regularly. Really enjoyed a relaxing spa day with my daughter. We were warmly greeted and promptly escorted to the spa for a brief tour, given our locker, robe and sandals and could relax for a few minutes before our scheduled massages. The relaxation room had an assortment of teas and nibbles. Our massages were excellent- Ron listened to wear I needed work and got my knots out. Afterwards, my daughter and I ordered lunch (the only disappointment was it was a prepackaged box lunch and not great) but it came quickly and we ate it beside the outdoor mineral pool. The mineral pool was delightful. We used the showers which had an array of jets and the Avania branded shampoo/conditioner and soaps which were pleasant. All in all we had a wonderful couple of hours and would definitely recommend and return.

I had the pleasure of getting Ron as my masseur. My fiance got us a couples massage and it was fantastic. The facilities are luxurious but Ron was outstanding! Very skilled with the perfect amount of pressure and an intuitive sense for which areas to focus on. I have never had a better massage in my life. I have some spinal injuries and he was perfectly sensitive to them. I WILL be back!
