It is rare in the current state of affairs in regards to medicine, competing insurances, insurance policy dictatorships that holds your treatment in their hands and still find a compassionate,professional Doctor who can have the ability to balance all of those of those factors and still take time to really listen in order to diagnose your medical issue. It’s the “Devil in the details” as one might say. The office staff are very respectful and courteous. They try to fit you in asap if at all possible. I recommend that patients remember the staff and your doctor are are human beings first and professionals second. In the world of medicine that means all day long ,all 40 plus hours of every week that they are listening to complaints. I have been a patient of Valley Medical Group for over 20 years . I suffer from over lapping conditions, which quite frankly can be a challenge to separate out individually. The most important thing for a patient like myself is to have trust and faith in your doctor. Dr. Wikholm really cares and really listens. His staff are stellar. Dr. Wikholm is the best doctor that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. His knowledge is amazing. In addition, he has a great bedside manner and is very friendly. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Top it off with everyone being fluent in Spanish as well as English, and you have a great place for all your health care needs.

A Doctor that listens,cares, and doesnt just throw drugs at you. Plan on a longer than usual Dr. visit while he spends time with each patient making sure they are heard and cared for completely.

Valley Medical Group is the preferred doctors office for my companys pre-employment screenings. The staff and doctors are great. Weve been using them for years.

If I could give this place 0 I would! This doctor would have literally been the reason my mother died, my mother came in with pain all over her body about an 8-10 on pain scale, he ran blood test and came out with the conclusion that she had Lupus, he failed to do further testing and claimed she didn’t have fluid in her lungs, which was a lie because my mom did because she had pneumonia and it was deadly by that point! And when my mom tried to reach out he said he couldn’t help her until she had coverage through medical! My mom nearly on her death bed and when I read his notes he stated that her pain was ACUTE!! Do not come here!! They obviously just want your money and move on without really caring for their patients.

While I have had productive interactions with the doctors and nurse practitioner at this office, the staff is mostly unhelpful and not concerned with patients concerns. On numerous occasions when trying to get a prescription sent to a pharmacy the staff responsible for this would fail to follow through. I have had to call numerous times to leave messages asking them to send the prescription to my pharmacy. My calls would never be returned. I had to hope that when I called the doctors office someone would answer the phone and then know how to handle the request.Currently I have been getting the silent treatment about options for getting immunization shots. Valley Medical does not provide shots for tetanus, hepatitis A or hepatitis B. I was told to go to Ventura County Dept of Public Health. Upon going to the Ventura County Dept of Public Health, however, I learned my insurance would not cover the immunizations unless I get them at my doctors office as part of routine health maintenance. I then called Valley Medical for further options on where to get shots and I was told in three separate phone conversations I would be getting a call back from them about those options Once again, there has been no call back.I just wonder why the staff at Valley Medical Group does not care enough about their clients to at least return phone calls.I have this to say to anyone who is considering using Valley Medical Group. Good luck getting your questions answered by the staff. Im planning to switch doctors because clearly the staff here is not interested in being helpful.

Very slow. They take hours to come see you and they arent very helpful when giving you diagnosis. I dont recommend to come

I dont understand why they set appointments here if you wont be seen till an hour later.
