I brought someone in who had an knee injury so severe it required a wheel chair to enter from parking lot. A head injury as well since it was from a fall. They didnt even provide an ice pack while paper work was being done. Even a regular household would do this! Terrible emergency care. The young women behind glass were more involved in telling each other stories. Dr.Brian Roberts ....poor show.

This is one of the few places in SLO that does COVID testing for travel. They offer the Abbott ID-NOW test, with results ready in about 30 minutes. The staff was helpful and friendly and they were happy to fill out the required form for travel to Japan—something even the testing center at the airport was not willing to do. Excellent experience overall!

Very friendly and professional. From the front desk team to the medical providers, everyone had a great attitude and a smile on their face (literally!).Super streamlined process for my walk-in visit, and I was looked after by knowledgeable professionals. (At least 4 people were involved or checked in on me for my relatively routine visit, including Gary, Rob, and Ian.)I had about a 30-minute wait on a weekday around lunchtime, though another patient indicated he had a scheduled appointment, so that’s good to know that option is available too.Accepted my PPO insurance plan with standard co-pay.I’m writing this review on my way out the door. Extremely satisfied and will certainly visit again if the need arises.

3 to 4 hr. Wait for a rapid test...well this is the only place that does it...have to wait...just wish they were a little more friendly....was discriminated there and when asked a question...was thrown my ID back and asked to leave...how could they get away treating people like this?

I visited Med Stop with a knee injury and was seen by Dr. Weber. The staff that greeted me were very kind. My wait time was minimal. When Dr. Weber came in, he treated me with great respect, professionalism and a genuine concern for my problem. I was x-rayed at the facility and referred for further diagnosis with an MRI. Upon receipt of my MRI results, Dr. Weber contacted me directly to inform me of the findings and immediately forwarded the info to my orthopedic doctor. It was the best urgent-type care visit that I’ve experienced. I appreciate the ease and efficiency of care at this MedStop facility and would highly recommend it to anyone who needs immediate, non-energy, medical attention.

This is hands down the worst urgent care in SLO. The staff is rude and the wait is long, which I know they cannot control but when asked if it was busy they lady just said well I can’t say how long things will take... I thought she would of followed up with something else but no. I wasn’t asking for a time estimate either I just wanted to know if it was a busy or slow day, because last time I had to wait in my car for 2 and a half hours and I really needed to use the restroom but didn’t want to lose my spot. This isn’t my first bad experience with this place either. The whole covid system they have is terrible and ignorant. Save yourself the time, money and energy and go to Family & Industrial Medical Center. The staff there was super helpful and efficient. I had made an appointment, was seen by a nurse and a doctor, given a diagnosis and prescribed the proper medication within 1 hour.

Front desk is friendly and once you get into see the doctor it is good but boy the wait in between checking in and seeing the doctor can be very very long with the people that work there kind of ignoring you. It would be nice if they had a display of which doctor is seeing who with the next patients name but that’s probably too much work for them. So basically when you come to this placeYou better keep about a three hour time frame open

Slowest medical experience ever. I had quicker service in Nicaragua and Portugal. Tell me when I’m signing in that I might be sitting outside for two hours so I can decide if I want to try at another one. It’s taking so long I have nothing better to do on my phone than post this review. How on earth can this be taking so long? They process 2 people an hour, tops. Call ahead or better yet, don’t come at all.

Very compassionate staff all the way around, the PA took care of the exam and stiching was very thorough and courteous. We did not have to wait long to be seen. Very grateful having a urgent care clinic like need stop in SLO.The waiting lobby has many wildlife photographs which are calming and cheerful.

The front desk, Sarah, is one of the friendliest people Ive ever encountered in health care. I so appreciate her attitude and attention during recent visits. I have been coming to this location on and off for years. You cant always avoid the wait, but all of the team Ive encountered are all super friendly and helpful. A breath of fresh air.

While the doctor was very friendly and informative, found office staff terrible. They dont seem to have a clue about what customer service is instead treat you like you are some person that they despise, they all seem to be lazy and nearly inept doing only the bare minimum. They didnt know how to use the void function on there card processing machine and resisted when I asked them to avoid the first transaction so I could put it on a different card. On the way out of the place I specifically asked if that was all I needed only to have to receive a phone call a few minutes later saying that they forgot to give me some stuff and that I should return. They refused to email it to me or fax it. then the next day I came in I had to go through the normal waiting procedure as a normal patient and when I got to the desk they asked me to fill out another form. in my opinion since it was their mistake they should have had my paperwork there waiting for me just to hand me with a smile and say sorry about that instead I got frowns and had to wait for 10 minutes.

Yes the wait was long but lots of people were sick and we were happy to wait our turn. When we were called in, Dr. Garcia took as much time as we needed to address the medical condition and answer our questions. He was caring and thorough. The front desk staff were also very friendly.

Super friendly desk help and super thorough doctor helped me figure out what to do. You can tell he cares because he asked so many questions! Hard to find around here. Luckily I got there early because they got slammed while I was there. Busy office. Highly recommend them!!

The single most unprofessional establishment I may have been to in my entire life. I had an appointment at 2 :30, which I arrived for early. It is currently 3:27 and I have not been seen by a doctor yet. I was seen by a nurse but did not get seen by a doctor until much much later. Not a good experience.

Medstop was recommended to me by my employer for a DOT physical. I had been struggling with hypertension and was unsure if I would be able to pass. The wait time was long, but well worth it! The staff, all were pleasant and cordial. Thanks to the positive, caring attitude of the young man that took my blood pressure multiple times, allowing me to relax in between, I was finally able to pass my physical and return to work. Thanks goes out to Alex for showing he truly cares!

I work in customer service, so I understand AN extent to which the employees at this establishment have had to go through the past four months... But lying to customers about COVID-19 testing price is inexcusable and I will NOT be recommending this location to anyone, with or without compatible insurance.Long story short, I got sick at work and wanted COVID-19 testing. Two employees tell me itll cost $150 out of pocket for testing. This is wrong. The fine paperwork tells you that it costs $150 JUST to swab you and send it to the lab for testing. As I was reading this they already had my Id and card information and I demanded it back immediately. You get seperately billed by the lab, not knowing how much it costs OR if whatever lab it to accepts your insurance.Im never showing up here again. Id rather take an ambulance trip

Always expect a wait for urgent care. The paperwork was easy and my co-pay was exactly what was listed on my insurance card. The nurse practitioner I had was very nice, informative, and prescribed an antibiotic that would help with multiple problems I had... Especially my URI. Within a week, I was good to go.

I am not one to bash a business, but when I am the first one in line and 8 people go before me because if an issue that could have been fixed right away by simply asking and doing your job, then yes I will go on here talk about the incompetence of the people running the front desk of this establishment. I will NEVER come to this establishment and would NEVER recommend.

The front office staff, nurse, and Dr. Baker were exceedingly kind and thoughtful; I really appreciated the people-focused attitudes and attention. I waited for probably 30-40 minutes after getting my vitals taken, which was a little lame, but nothing new for the medical field. Took me about 1.5 hrs in and out.

Shout out to PA Gary Cooper for stitching up my leg after a nasty mountain bike crash! The stitches are out and its healing up nicely. Also, thanks to the rest of the staff for being great in general and providing me with extra bandages and wraps so I could care for my leg while on my road trip.

A group of preschoolers could run a better office than these incompetent people. For every 1 friendly staff member, there are at least 2 rude, and surprisedly senile, old desk clerks. I know running an urgent care facility can’t be easy, but come on guys, really. Taco Bell has cleaner floors than this place. If you need to go to Urgent Care, LITERALLY GO ANYWHERE ELSE. Don’t waste your time and money here like the rest of us have :/

As someone who has been to medstop numerous times, I am never surprised at the long wait times, either very friendly or extremely rude staff, and the amount of filth around the entire facility. The staff is unorganized, you can expect confusion and incorrect billing or even them refusing to see you at all. This place is good for one thing: getting a medical note for school or work.

They are rude. You will wait. Even if youre the third person there that morning and theyre not even seeing anyone else. But they are quick to get their payment upfront before you have even finished filling out the paperwork! Wonder why? Hm.They will interrupt you. The physician will not allow you explain your symptoms. Theyll tell you how youre wrong and other physicians youve seen in the past are wrong. You will have to beg them to run tests so you can get the help you need because they dont want to help you.I only went here to save money. Its cheaper through my insurance to go here instead of the ER, but next time I wont. Next time I will go straight to the ER. Its worth the extra few bucks to not be talked down to by a busy, know-nothing nobody.

Front/ back office are always very friendly and polite. Physicians are thorough and take time with you which is nice, they dont make you feel uncomfortable or rushed. Only downside is the weight time, but what can you really expect from a walk in clinic.

I needed to have my ears cleaned out before I could have an audiology test. So rather than wait several weeks for an appointment with my primary care physician, I decided to visit MedStop. Arrived at 7:50 and the front door opened 5 minutes later. The front desk staff was very friendly (no rudeness at all), and the two people who treated me in back were professional and helpful. I left the office at 8:35. A very satisfying experience.

I was waiting to get approved for physical therapy and called the insurance after a week. They hadnt yet submitted the request. This is the second time there done this to me. The first time they said they didnt have my claim number, but it was in my file the whole time. Maybe they just dont like me, but when I called to complain I got put on hold for over 10 minutes. When the office manager called me to talk about it she was very rude and then hung up on me.

If you go when they open youre in and out quick. Anytime past 10 and the wait time can be 4+ hours.The female doctors act like your sickness is a joke, the male doctors are amazing and seem to care.The staff and nurses are a ridiculous joke . They non stop gossip and talk about their parties. Its very inappropriate and annoying.

I went to Med Stop in Slo back in February. I was very pleased with the service that was provided. I saw a PA she was very through, they did the test in office for strep got me on the right medication and took good care of me. I went back for just a follow type of visit, another great experience. I have not had any issues with billing, in fact I received my bill at my home address. The staff was very friendly both times I was there. I myself work in the medical field so I am always holding office staff to high standards on how pts are treated! I would definitely go back in the future if needed.

Not good. The worst. I went to three different Dr.s in Arroyo Grande and they were nice and all around good. The bad part or the worst is that no one calls you back about your results . I am still waiting to here back on results from two months ago. I have called three times about getting the results and they keep saying someone will call me. BUMMER. I would not recommend this place. The administration is awful. I have countless other friends agree unfortunately.

Been here quite a few times, they will eventually get to you, but your looking at 3 hours of waiting, with no one ahead of you, I just need stitches for a cut on the hand and about 6 people came in and still went in front of that were there 2 hours after me

Walk in with all information required with my PPO insurances information, even spoke with my insurance provider prior, and was told they would cover any visit. I just don’t have the physical card in hand, and was turned away. lol pathetic garbage place.

Watch out for incorrect billing. Happens on a recurring basis. Not sure if its standard procedure there or just incompetent billing department.... but beware. I completely agree with the previous person that commented on being billed because you are the one on file with insurance. I have asked for a note to be put in my file to clarify any billing before sending it out and not even that has worked. It is obvious to me that the owner does not care enough to set his staff straight on this issue....

Medstop SLO provides excellent service my family has been going there for several years under various circumstances they have always been friendly and professional the medical staff always introduces themselves they are very thorough about explaining your diagnosis treatment plan and follow up and they have their own x-ray machine I would recommend them to anyone you will probably be there for 2 or 3 hours just plan on it and accept it they provide very thorough service and they have a Sees Candy next door cant get any better than that when you need medical treatment take my word for it

I had a pretty nasty abscess that had to be surgically opened and stuffed with tape to prevent it returning. A very efficient doctor and clean room. Best medical care Ive gotten in SLO at a fraction of the cost and hassle of a Hospital.

Visited MedStop on May 1, 2015. Was visiting from out of town and was still suffering from sinus problems (2 wks of symptoms). Good clean facility, friendly attentive staff, little to no wait. Doctor told me I probably had a viral infection..... just continue to take OTC drugs. Only after I asked about my sore throat and told them I had been exposed to strep throat did the doctor order a quick strep test. Came back positive!! As always the patient needs to advocate for themselves!!

My son went into med stop with a high fever, headache, and a cough that he had for 3 days. The physicicians assistant, Jackie Dancy, sent him home without a chest x-Ray, or blood test and without an antibiotic. She gave him a prescription for cough medicine and told him to take Tylenol and Advil. Several days later he ended up in the hospital with pre sepsis pneumonia. When I called to complain about the diagnosis? The head Dr. Told me that my son was treated like every other patient. I have been a teacher for as long as the head doctor told me has been a doctor, which is a 3rd of a century. If I treated every child the same they would not learn!! My son has good insurance, and they still neglected to do any tests!! I would never go to this urgent care!!! Thankfully, My son is still alive due to the excellent doctors and nurses at Sierra vista hospital.

Everyone in this office is friendly and professional. While busy, they treated me with respect and with great care. I hope I dont need to go back, but if I did, I wouldnt hesitate to do so.

This has to be the worst Dr office I’ve ever been to. I’ve been in six times over an eight week period for a knee injury. They have not yet done an MRI, or referred me to s specialist, despite the fact that it’s not getting any better. Today I was early for an appointment, yet had to wait for 45 minutes past my appointment while they admitted walk-ins that arrived after I did. What. The. Hell?

Went in with sinus congestion and severe throat pain along with fever, chills...etc. They swabbed me for strep and mono and both came back negative. Somehow decided that meant my throat is fine and sent me home with a ten day prescription for antibiotics for my sinusitis. Had to go in the next morning when they opened since I hadnt slept at all that night due to severe throat pain that almost had me going to the ER. They made me pay another co-pay even though I told them I get my situation was overlooked. They gave me a steroid that I only took that one time I was there for the visit and told me to come back next week if I dont get better. I finished the antibiotics seeing little positive feedback only to get even more sick the day after I had ran out of antibiotics. At this point I had paid two co-pays and am more sick than when I had first gone. Seeing two different doctors in two days both not listening to me and my concerns/symptoms and rushed through my actual visits(after waiting 5 hours each time to finally see the doctors) only assessing me for maybe 10-12 minutes each I dont feel Im going to return there to have them try and fix me considering theyve failed me each time and show little interest in the patients health and are more concerned about making as much money as they can by squeezing patients in as fast and lazily as possible. Forewarning:make the trip to arroyo grande where they have better service and doctors who seem to care.

We waited almost 2,5 hours with lots of sick people and if you do not have insurance they are charging just for regular check $160, if you need some small tests you have to pay more,and after a week for controlling which is your doctor says come again they are charging again..Not fearand very bad health system !!!

Much time is wasted. I waited two hours for them to take care of me and then another hour for them to give me my new prescription. They do not respect the appointment made. They serve others first.
