I was a walk-in. I was given an appointment time, about 35 minutes from the time I got to the desk. I was called in about 5 minutes after that time - not bad! The nurse was cordial and did all the vitals. The PA handled my problem efficiently and answered my questions, including what would be done for follow-up. All in all, I was quite happy with the care provided.

Write a review about your health care? Sure.This place is great. Im not saying I had gonorrhea or the piles, but if I did, this would be the place for expedient, cost effective care.

I switched to Family Industrial Med. Clinic about a year ago. Everytime I visit them, they exceed my expectations. They are the best medical clinic that I have ever visited. Highly recommend them.

I was a walk in Urgent care and got in within 10 minutes of arriving - great reception and billing staff. The nurse was delightful, and my doctor quickly figured out what was wrong and she prescribed antibiotics and treatment, as well as showing care and sympathy. I was done and on my way to the pharmacy in less than an hour feeling happy with everyone I met.

Mr Lepp is an arrogant self-important person who thinks he knows more that he does. Avoid him like Covid!

The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Dr Ford is always patient and understanding. She never rushes through the appointment and gives me her undivided attention, which always gives me confidence that I will get the care that I need. It’s the best place to go when in need of excellent medical help.

All staff were extremely friendly and helpful! After calling around for almost 2 1/2 hours to find out where we can go to get Covid tests this practice was a godsend! They were extremely accommodating, did not keep us on hold for too long, and got us in within a couple hours. The facility was clean and although we had to wait a little because people were in front of us, the whole experience was very easy. We will definitely go back for future needs and recommend this place!

Creating an appointment online was super easy and convenient. The front desk person was friendly and polite. The nurse was courteous and efficient. My only complaint was that they took an hour to see me after my scheduled appointment. Id still go back here if I needed to.

Medical care is acceptable. However, service and wait times are pretty horrible. Don’t expect fast service at all and don’t expect the front office staff to care whether or not you are seen today or ever. I waited over an hour for my SCHEDULED appointment and someone at the front desk failed to check me in, blamed me for their failure, and then said they would just reschedule me for another day when I asked how much longer I would have to wait for my SCHEDULED appointment. They really don’t care about customer service regardless of the suggestion box proudly posted in the reception area.

The receptionists were friendly , efficient and timely. Jonathan as always was amazing, takes time to listen and does great follow up. My husband and I have always been 200% pleased with the care given by all the staff.

My provider was wonderful. She listened to my concerns, and was helpful in every way. I will continue my care with FMC because of professional, knowledgeable, and reliable provider such as this.

I started calling at 8:05 to make an appointment.Answering machine said hours start at 8:00 but couldn’t get through until after 8:15. Then I was put on hold for 10 minutes.Arrived before my 11:00 appointment and finally was called in at 11:30. I was shown to the room and the nurse said “sit there” and pointed. It wasn’t until she was about to administer the TB test did she introduce herself. Definitely difnt feel like a valued person/patient.

Do NOT go here if you are insured or plan to ravel with the rapid antigen test, they will not bill your insurance which isn’t that big of a deal but the only result they give you is a hand written sheet of paper cut in half with negative circled, no test number, it doesn’t even have the time stamped. After paying these charlatans 125$ I had to redo the test at the airport because the airline thought my test results were a joke (Ithought they looked that way too) all the employees were very friendly btw, just the clinic owner needs to be much more official and professional in its documentation or even attempt to put some effort into it

They got me in and out quickly for a rapid Covid test. The least painful test I’ve had by far. The staff were kind and pleasant to deal with. Facilities were clean.

Friendly staff, wait time with an appointment was still 20 plus minutes. Daniel (PA) was kind, friendly and not hurried with me. Older office but clean and comfortable.

The staff was very friendly, and I was able to get in last minute with barely any wait (they allow online appointment booking!). The doctor was also very thorough and empathetic to my specific issue.

I got a same day rapid covid test when everyone else was out. I paid $125 because they don’t take my insurance. The front desk was helpful and kind. I waited 45 min.

My appointment for a test was at 9:50 but was finally administered at 10:50. Not good. And, the technician who administered the test was not very nice. Maybe she is overworked? Ive been to this clinic many times and this was by far one of the most unpleasant of my visits! Plus the test was overpriced at $125 and increased my overall anxiety level worrying about the cost!

I always have a professional experience here from check in to checkout. The staff is efficient and courteous and the medical team takes their time with me and gives excellent advice and care. Wouldn’t go elsewhere.

My employer uses this office for physicals and TB tests, and has for years without issues.. TWICE THIS WEEK, I called in the morning to confirm that they were accepting walk-ins, drove to SLO, then been turned down without any understandable reason as to why. First it was we dont do physicals without paperwork (this has never been the case, and my employer has confirmed they do not provide any paperwork to be seen), THEN the excuse shifted to a miscommunication issue. There was no miscommunication, they are either giving out false information or just plain turning patients down for no reason. Only after pleading for minutes with the young man behind the counter, did he communicate that the you need a packet info was completely untrue, that the industrial side of the office has had an ongoing issue with being unorganized, and try to convince the Dr. To squeeze me in - to which the doctor raised his voice at the staff, saying THEYLL JUST HAVE TO COME BACK ANOTHER TIME. I wouldnt recommend this office to anybody.

The actual COVID test went fine. Staff was nice. The only frustrating this was that the COVID test wasnt covered by insurance. I find that really annoying. Their billing team took some time to get a hold of, but once they did he was extremely helpful.

Worst urgent care ever!! I went in with a sinus infection. The doctor Johnathan Lepp refused to give me antibiotics. Because I didnt want to get a covid test at their clinic the nurse and Dr Lepp were horrible to me after. I heard the nurses taking badly about me before I left. I called and asked the nurse to talk to Dr Lepp he refused to give me antibiotics again. My mucus was dark green and yellow. I had to go to a different urgent care to get the antibiotics I needed. The doctor who saw me was so surprised that Dr lepp refused to give me antibiotics. I have a long history of asthma and was not asking for the moon!! I just needed some meds to feel better. I have been here a few times and everytime I went in the staff are so horrible to me for no reason. Would give 0 stars if I could. Do not go here!!! Worst urgent care I have been to and it is ridiculously expensive.

My family and I have been coming to this Urgent Care Center for many of our unexpected medical emergencies over the years. Today, I came in with a painful knee injury. I was able to make appt online and was seen right away. Friendly, efficient and knowledgeable staff. Had my X-ray, comfy knee brace and crutches quickly with directions for future care. Great experience as always.

I came in with a bad back that left me crying off all my mascara. I looked insane coming in and the staff didnt treat me differently at all. My nurse was wonderful and very understanding. Dr. Ford was very compassionate and she took the time to teach me ways I could get in and out of bed without hurting myself...and its really helped! I am so thankful I found this urgent care when I did. I highly recommend this place

This clinic informs patients they do not need a Covid test. My employees and my family members have gone to this clinic and every time the nurses harass THESE PAYING CUSTOMERS, AKA PATIENTS and the Industrial Med Staff insist they do not need a test. This is highly irresponsible, unethical and egregious medical misguidance. I have reported this to the health authorities and requested verification of licensure and COVID education. I provided names of nurses.The physicians supervising ancillary healthcare staff at this clinic should review the Oct issue of JAMA and ensure RNs & PAs are properly educated on the current relevant virology as it relates to COVID.“Many individuals with SARS-CoV-2 infection remained asymptomatic for a prolonged period, and viral load was similar to that in symptomatic patients; therefore, testing and isolation of infected persons should be performed regardless of symptoms.” JAMA 10.2020Dr. L

Gave me my covid results over the phone and initially did not offer an option to get them. Then said it would take an hour or more to receive the link to the portal. Also hung up on me at one point how rude!

IF YOU ARE CASH PAY MAKE SURE YOU GET AN ITEMIZED BILL AT CHECK OUT. I was cash pay, on a Sunday, the only patient there, needed xrays for my shoulder from an accident. They charged me $100 initially for the visit and said I would pay the remainder upon check out, which is typical for an urgent care place. Upon check out I was charged an additional $115 for the xrays and a shot and a sling that I was given. However the bill was not itemized. 3 weeks later I got a bill for $189 for the sling. They charged $115 for the doctors services and $189 for a sling that costs $20 on amazon. They said the doctor hadnt had time to enter all the charges in the computer upon my check out. I was the only one there. Not impressed.

Dr. Jacobsen is an amazingly talented MD, the best PCP in the area by far. He also has a great beside manner & is a consummate professional. In addition, he is an ER MD at some local area hospitals. He also had some specialty training in Sports Medicine. This doctor is a graduate of Stanford & the University of Hawaii. We are lucky to have him practice in our area!

We have gone to this facility since the early 1990s and back when Dr. Mazzone was there it was good to very good. Now that he has gone into Concierge Medicine we will not go back as they charged us top rates for a simple X-ray(over $450) to confirm a broken ulna in the arm then would not finish the job- instead directed to Sierra Vista Emergency Room to which they charged almost $800 and simply wrapped the arm in an Ace Bandage!

I must say this was the best Urgent Care experience Ive had! I expected to spend at least a few hours of my Saturday since thats always been my experience when Ive had to go to an urgent care. I was pleasantly surprised that they were able to get me in and out in a half an hour! Everyone from the receptionist to the doctor was really friendly and helpful too. I would def recommend FIMCs Urgent Care over anywhere else.

We had a great patient experience with Dr. Pollock and your staff. My wife and I brought in our son 10 year old son with a badly smashed finger, and he was taken care of quickly. Dr. Pollock also had an excellent bedside manner putting him at ease with the procedures, answering questions, explaining the x-rays, etc...Thank you for providing such excellent care!

This center has been my primary care choice for about 10 years. They have been consistently prompt, caring, professional, and most of all capable of handling my needs. Even the front desk people are great. And, it’s so convenient to be able to get basic labs and X-ray done immediately at the same facility!

My husband and I have been going to this facility for over 20 years now. As a regular patient we have been very pleased with their service. There have been times that due to staff changes you lose one doctor and choose another, but every doctor we have seen is is knowledgeable and professional. We like that as our primary care office, if we have an emergency that requires urgent care, they have our complete health files on hand. Dr Gingrich and Dr Jacobsen are excellent health care providers. They do not try to rush through your visit. They take the time to listen and address all medical issues.

This practice does not get the recognition it deserves. Jonathon Lepp is such a great physician, he has great bedside manners, is very knowledgeable in different health matters when it comes to questions about your health. The Urgent care wait is very little, ive been to Urgent cares were ive waited over two hours to just be told to go to the ER. Great staff, good care, little wait times.

Ive had nothing but good experiences with this clinic and the staff. I am a patient here but there have been times that Ive had to come in as an urgent care patient. Considering the length of time you wait at a hospital the wait times Ive had were not bad at all, 30-45 min at the most.And as a patient, the doctors, nurses and assistants have all taken the time to listen to what is ailing me. They have displayed concern for my well being.UPDATE***Well Ive had a change of opinion since writing this review! These guys are a people mill, they drop the ball on their patients needs constantly.I was in need of a prescription before I left for Europe, I call almost a week in advance to get this done and they dragged their feet, refusing to return my calls. Finally they told me the Dr. was going to call it in the next day, this was the day I was leaving. I went to pick it up and it wasnt there. The Dr. had forgotten! Then they decided they wanted me to be seen to get the prescription, I told them that was impossible I was leaving in a few hours. I ended up going without my medication.The next incident was with a disability claim. I was very ill and the Dr. took me off from work for an entire month. So I applied for disability. When the Dr. office put in the paper work they shorted me 3 days. Its been a month trying to get them to put in the supplemental so I can get the money I was owed. Totally messing with my income!Ive had it with them, you have been fired. Ive got a new Doctor now.If youre planning to be their patient, beware.

Wonderful! I have been a patient here for 19 years and have always had excellent care. I have had many serious health problems as well as some minor ones. I have had many procedures here and have been referred to the best specialists for specific care. I have always been involved in my care and have been treated with the greatest respect. The staff are friendly, helpful, and very professional. I highly recommend Family & Industrial Medical Center for all your medical needs!

Receptionists are awful. Absolutely no sense of urgency or caring. Very unprofessional as well, when I was waiting for my turn they were joking around with each other and ignoring me. When I was finally treated by a doctor, she seemed upset to be there. She was bored and hurried the process.They dont care about you here! It took a few days for me to switch my primary physician due to technical difficulties with my insurance, and when I explained this to the receptionist and asked for my physical therapist referral to please go out faster than two weeks they blew me off. TWO WEEKS for a simple referral to a physical therapist! Im sorry, I have no idea as to why any referral should take up to two weeks. Oh yeah and the doctor, upon telling me how long the referral would take, told me: Dont call us, we will call you. Thanks guys, great customer service.

The receptionists on staff on the day that I visited were either poorly trained or simply inept. I called for a quote and was told that the service I was requesting had been whited out in the price list but that they thought it was one price. Since it was a Saturday and I didnt have too many options, I went there anyway. When I got to the office and asked again, the receptionists still couldnt give me a definite answer, but did give me a new quote that was $40 higher than the original. They appeared not to know what anything cost or if a nurse visit counted as an office visit or a low-level office visit. The two women debated back and forth about the charges. I begrudgingly stayed to receive the services, again as it was a Saturday and I had no other options. After my appointment the receptionist cheerily told me the exact cost of the visit, which was $30 higher than the second quote ($70 higher than the phone quote). If she was able to tell me then, why couldnt she access that information either of the two times I asked prior?The care itself was excellent. I was in and out in no time. I would never go back, however, based on the way I was treated by the receptionists.

The medical care here is great, but can often have long wait times for folks without appointments.Unfortunately, this medical office doesnt care about you as a person. Why? Because they will turn you into collections without ever trying to reach you. Instead of picking up the phone and trying to reach their clients, they would rather pass the work off to a collections agency, who will hit your credit if you miss their notices.Long story short... decent medical care, but horrible billing department.

Crystal is the worst receptionist imaginable, promises to call and never does for 3 days straight even after me calling back multiple days each day. I wish I could give this more stars as the actual doctors are amazing but thats how bad crystal is.

After having some test done, it was urgent that I have the results back quickly as I was in severe pain with an infection that was getting worse by the day. They assured me that it would take about 48 hours to get the results. After calling each day to check on the 3rd day I was notified that my results were in. I made an appointment, went in, and eagerly waited for my results. They informed me that the results actually were not in after all, and charged me for the visit. They said they would tell me the results over the phone as soon as they came in. The next day, they informed me again that the results were in, but I would need to make an appointment. I told them I had tried that earlier and was told I would be given the results over the phone. I was placed on hold for 20 minutes and then told, they dont have authority to give me results, just the doctors do. Then I was hung up on. After another call I was told a doctor would call me back before 11, but was not contacted for the rest of the day. I continued calling several times each day, to be told I would be called back shortly but they never did. After being admitted to the ER for a worsened condition, I called again telling them it was an emergency and that I need the results desperately. I was rudely told to wait for patients ahead of me, and then hung up on. Even a week after this, I still dont have my results from them.

DO NOT GO HERE.The staff in this office just do not care about their patients, and will almost always forget to send your paperwork (in my case multiple times) and will lose paperwork over and over again. For as long as they have been in business AND the fact we are talking about a Medical Facility this is completely unacceptable.I came in with a broken hand, they told me to wait for their referral coordinator to book me an appointment with a hand surgeon STAT (meaning very very urgent) IT TOOK 4 WEEKS! I called multiple times every day and they forgot who I was each time and forgot to send my paper work out for days. I had to find my own hand surgeon! Not only that but by the time I did (after trusting their professional recommendation that it was safe to wait for the surgery which it was NOT) they said it was far too late for surgery. Now I have limited use of my hands and I use them everyday for work and am an avid Rock Climber. Guess Ill have to contact my lawyers on this one.DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE, THESE PEOPLE DO NOT CARE.

Front end staff is friendly, but have mischarged me and are unable to rectify the situation. This wouldnt be an issue, if it were actually possible to get in touch with the billing department - who seem to always be out of the office and incapable of returning calls.Jonathan Lepp is great. I received questionable medical advice from one of the other providers, though I cant claim to know more than he does.

(Updated in 2019)The first time I went to F&IMC, it was around November of 2015 and I was the sickest I had been in a long time. I had no problems with this visit, but I think a lot has changed since then.The receptionists I talked to when I visited yesterday were absolutely rude, and I was being nothing but kind to both of them. I went to F&IMC for answers, but ended up getting an incorrect diagnosis/wrong medication for something very minor. Im out $93 dollars and the condition I had ended up lasting several weeks longer than it had to. It wasnt until I went to another urgent care to get a second opinion that I found out what was going on. Also, the doctor that saw me was very condescending to me, and was using his phone to look up what was wrong with me during most of my visit.I will not be returning here if I can help it.

I drove my husband to this facility because he got hurt on the job. The staff is very nice and a little goofy!! But the condition of the facility is nasty!! Floors look dirty, things are falling off the walls, and building needs to be painted. The parking lot needs to be resurfaced and remarked so you know where to park.

I have received excellent medical care at Family & Industrial Medical Center in SLO. PA David Gingrich is wonderful as well as his staff. I’ve visited another UrgentCare group in SLO which was good but not great as Family & Industrial!

Friendly physicians for urgent care needs or continuous health care. Short wait times. Conveniently located with parking available. I had an appointment with a Dr at another facility and was charged twice as much as what this place charges for an office visit.

Came in for a few stitches and had a great experience with Family & Industrial Medical Center. Kind staff, got in quick, stitched me up and sent me on my way. I would recommend to friends or family.

TL;DR: all the want is your money, doctors make judgements based off personal beliefs and they really dont care about you so long as they get their money.If you are looking for a new doctors office DO NOT COME HERE, and I will give a few reasons why. 1 when you call you must listen to a long automated massage before speaking to a real person. 2 all they really want is your money. This place has no sympathy when it comes to billing you. I missed my appointment today because when I made the appointment I asked them to give me a call reminder before hand and they never did but still charged me $50! DO NOT RELY ON THEIR COURTESY REMINDERS EVEN IF YOU SPECIFICALLY REQUEST ONE. 3 When I finally got to my appointment Johnathan Lepp sure knows how to talk, but does he know how to listen? Answer: not really, i was trying to get a refill of my adhd medication that I prefer to use sparingly as needed (due to the side effects) but according to his personal opinion I need to be taking them every day if I am going to use them at all. Johnathan, they are stimulants and should be used as such if one has a legitimate medical need.

I liked the young new Dr. Angelucci, however, my opinion has changed.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The practices here are unbelievable! I went in for a simple referral to a dermatologist to get a mole removed. They convinced me the doctor was very experienced and could do it in house. Long story short, it ended up being a nurse with no experience (unannounced to me) that did the job. I am left with a ridiculous scar that is three times the size of the mole that was there. I was given no aftercare instructions and the wound was left uncovered after removing the 8 stitches. The entire wound split open within 3 hours of leaving the doctors office. I was billed $200 for a visit that they had to reschedule because they were understaffed. Then another $500 for ridiculous charges. Keep in mind this is above and beyond what my Blue Shield PPO covered. I am blown away by this facility and what they are getting away with. BAD MEDICAL PRACTICES AND ACCOUNTING.

They seem nice enough, but it is very hard to get referrals or prescriptions, because it seems like they do not communicate within the office. Also, the checkout process is disorganized and confusing.
