My mom was involved in a terrible car accident and we were referred to Dr. Foglar by our attorney. When we first visited his office, my mom was in a terrible state of fear and anxiety. She was worried about her future and if she was going to be disabled for life. Dr. Foglar could immediately sense this and assured her that he would do everything in his power to help her get better! His kindness and compassion really helped put her at ease and reassured her that she could get through this. From day one, we knew that we had found the right orthopedic surgeon to help my mom through this ordeal. Over the next year, Dr. Foglar performed a cortisone shot and when that didnt work, we moved onto PRP shots and that started to improve things. He recommended physical therapy and also to meet with other specialists to workout some of my moms other non-bone health issues. While its not his job to examine or take any interest in non-bone related issues, he does. Why? Because he cares!!! He looks at his patients with a holistic approach, understanding that many outside factors can affect your orthopedic recovery. His office has never pushed any medications on my mother and there is never pressure to do anything she doesnt want to do. Dr. Foglar has really been a blessing during this difficult time in our lives and we are so grateful for his expertise, patience, and genuine interest in helping my mom get better in the long term! He really doesnt try to make an extra dollar by pushing short-term solutions and I really appreciate his honesty and candor when discussing the right treatment for my mom.Now, every superhero has a trusty sidekick! And in comes Dr. Foglars right hand person, Carrie! Shes also been a huge help during our visits and while there were some mix-ups at the beginning with scheduling with the front desk staff (especially since we need to get approval through our attorney), Carrie stepped in and has helped us so much throughout this entire process. She found my moms illusive vein for blood drawing, knows how to handle her elderly crankiness and has a firm, but kind assertiveness with just enough authority to respectfully get my mom to listen to her directions. Shes also been in this industry for a while and is very knowledgeable about the other doctors we are seeing and listening to our never-ending drama with all my moms complicated health issues that were caused by this accident.Everyone in the office, front desk and medical staff are what is very hard to find these days -- people that are good human beings that treat others with kindness! They care and do their best to help you!!! And while there might be long wait times or difficulty getting a quick appointment - theres a reason why Dr. Foglar is so high in demand - I promise you the wait will be worth it once you get to meet him. His honesty and warm approach will be refreshing and very helpful in your journey to fix your injury. We couldnt be on this path to recovery without the entire team at Advanced Orthopaedics!!! Office staff is rude and takes their own precious time doing things. Had to wait an hour before I even made it into the room. Doctor non-personal, rushed and tells you he has to do things . Not my idea of a doctor!!!

Dr. Foglar is great! very nice bedside manner. Carrie the office manager/main nurse is the best. she has helped my wife Dianna more times than i can count over the last 8 years. other reviewers complain about long waits, i have experienced a lengthy visit or two,but this doctor is very thorough with each and every patient, whats wrong with that?the office staff has always been nice and professional to us.Kevin & Dianna

I cant say enough good things about Dr. Foglar and his staff. My mother has seen him for a handful of surgeries and post-surgical wouldcare related to vascular disease and diabetes and we could not imagine being treated by anyone else! Dr. Foglar is honest and can be straight-to-the-point in a way that you thank him for being so honest and cutting out the B.S. We have told him on many occasions that his sincere beside manner and time that he spends to understand his patients and their needs is something that is lost in most of todays physicians and their staff. He may keep you in the waiting room for a bit but dont let this sway you from the actual care you receive. Once you visit with him youll know that you have his FULL attention.As for the staff, their levity and smiles make the office pleasant and welcoming. I actually do believe that they really enjoy their work and working together!Based on the experiences Ive had with Dr. Foglar, I would not hesitate to go to him should I need and Ortho Surgeon, nor would I hesitate to refer a friend or family member if they needed the same.Thanks Doc!Update 2014:We recently needed more surgeries and our vascular surgeon recommended a colleague that we have had before and his care was sub-par in the past. We immediately Mentioned that we would prefer Dr. Foglar and were happy about our decision.
