Excellent therapeutic massage. Alan zeroed right in on a cranky area on my back thats been there for years. He applied just the right pressure, immediately easing off when I asked. Two weeks later my back still feels looser.

Alan is a very skilled therapist. He knows anatomy, he knows how the body responds and adjusts the pressure accordingly. Alan is always very knowledgeable and readily explains what he does and what he is going to work on. He knows his trade and does it extremely well. I almost want to hold off on giving him the most favorable review because I am afraid it will become impossible to find an opening in his schedule!

Disliked almost all of it, it was awesome. This is not a spa massage. This is work. Alan is very insightful, has the ability to identify issues and address them. I initially planned to come in monthly, but after the first session decided its worth going bi-weekly to work out the deep stuff, and then switch to monthly maintenance. Ive done lots of bodywork in the past, no one is as knowledgeable as Alan.

Alan has a deft hand at finding the origins of aches and pains. Through movement, superb technique and specificity Alan does very effective work. A session with Alan is best served if experiencing a particular issue rather than general relaxation. Although skilled at all aspects of massage, Alans knowledge and practice is well applied to problem solving and pain relief.

Alan was really great and did an excellent job talking me through the visceral manipulation process and my overall needs and ailments. I feel like a new person today and look forward to my next appointment.Also - his space on the Alameda is really beautiful, comfortable and has great lighting. Alans knowledge of the body and ability to distill complex concepts into easily understandable information is great. Highly recommend.

Alan is an exceptional professional. At first I was hesitant to hire Alan because hes a dude, and Im a dude. Ive had many massages, but almost always from a female. After our first session this was no longer an issue for me. His knowledge of human anatomy and mechanics shows immediately in the quality of his work. After a few sessions many of my back issues began to improve. He does not take a one size fits all approach to massage. Each session is tailored to what your body needs to improve functionality. I continue to see Alan for maintenance and will continue to do so. Im fortunate to have found such a great professional!

Alan knows what he is doing and Alan knows how to solve a joint/muscle problem. I do not have to come often, most of the time in one or two sessions I am pain free again. I would recommend Alan.
