Fast gel manicure. No cuticle oil and the paint was not all the way to the corners of the nail. Was 25$ and I give a 10$ tip. Wish they would have been painted with more care to detail. Did have a massaging chair during visit sat in pedicure chair for manicure which was nice.

Nails & Hair Expo is fantastic! The atmosphere is really neat and peaceful. Everyone who works there is really sweet and pleasant to chat with. They have such a great variety of special things you can add to your manicure too! I especially love the look of the foils, and have gotten many compliments when I have them as part of my manicure. The gel manicures definitely last somewhere between 2-3 weeks for me, and I work with my hands a lot. I highly recommend this salon!

Lucky enough to live right by this gem, definitely the best manicure and salon Ive found in the city.Everyone is super lovely and attentive, and the space is also beautiful.Every manicure Ive had has been great, with a high level of attention to detail, and have all lasted over two weeks without so much as a chip. Happy to have finally found such a wonderful place and am sure it will continue to be my regular!

Ive walked passed Nails & Hair Expo a few times and didnt put mind to it until my friend recommended me to go to there to get my nails done. Everyone at Nails & Hair Expo is super nice and attentive. My nails lasted 2 weeks before I had to go back to get them redone but that was only because my nails grow out really quickly. The manicure itself did not chip at all and I work with my hands a lot. Its definitely one of the best gel manicures Ive ever gotten.

Did gel for the first time at Nails & Hair Expo and it was great!! My tech was extremely nice and patient while doing my nails and everyone else there was also very welcoming :) my nails is going on strong even on the second week, cant wait to go again to try more new nails design.

Everyone was so nice and they were very accommodating of my last minute appointment. They never made me feel rushed. They gave me a warm neck wrap and offered to reheat it multiple times. Such a relaxing experience! The massages were fantastic!! They asked me how I wanted my nails trimmed before beginning and did a wonderful job. Highly recommend!

I found Nails & Hair Expo and booked it, knowing the area was great and photos showed a modern, clean nail salon. I was excited that the photos matched the reality, and while small (feels intimate; not crowded), this nail salon is chic and clean and the technicians are ARTISTS & so hospitable and personable!! I took a risk getting my wedding mani/pedi done here but the results were beyond my expectations!! I love the gel polish and the technician was so meticulous that I hated taking off the perfect manicure weeks later!! I highly highly recommend it, and will be returning! Its a new hidden gem. A+

Front door is locked but when u call or knock on the door, as long as you have appointment, you are let in the door to sit and wait your turn. Teen very happy!

I found this salon and decided to treat myself to a gel mani / pedi in preparation for my upcoming vacation.I arrived at the salon about 40 min before my original appointment time with hopes that they would be able to take me earlier and they happily agreed to accommodate me.I started with a pedicure. My nail tech was meticulous with the filing and cuticle care and she helped me chose a nail shade close to OPI bubble bath from their gel collection (P101).Super happy with the care , detail and cleanliness of this salon. Ill be back to try some nail art.

Rip off place!Went there to have my haircut. They only told me $10 for haircut but never told me they charged $10 extra to wash my hair. Be careful there, they charge extra for everything even if they don’t tell you. In the end, you pay more than what you think you will get. To be avoided!

Too expensive just to have my toe nail trimmed, no polish, no massage, just trim my nails 25.00. Thankfully I get them cut very short and can wait 2 month to go back again.

I called and scheduled a gel mani and pedi for 5:30. When I arrived a few moments early, I was taken back right away and on my home by 6:30. Staff was super friendly and the establishment is incredibly clean.

Pathetic place for any kind of service. If you ever go there please don’t go to Nina. She’s extremely rude and unprofessional. The entire staff infact is very unprofessional. Asked them for a specific shape of nails and they did completely different shape and shortened my nails and when asked to correct it all they had to say is I can go somewhere else and get them done. Try to avoid this place at all cost as their hygiene system isn’t the best either.

Lady did an okay job.. she wasn’t mean or anything. She didn’t clean my feet properly and didn’t scrub them for even 5 seconds. She placed the hot towel that was supposed to be for my legs and feet on her dirty area and back onto my legs ... and didn’t even use it for a second. the place was a mess... tbh my feet were long over due so I settled .. I didn’t tip her and I don’t feel bad. I’m definitely not coming back. And I was distracted with my son and didn’t see were she got her tools from .. I didn’t see any cleaning solution were they keep them near by jus a box I assumed was to take off my gel nail polish.. im guessing it wasn’t cleaned and I feel disgusted .. and stupid for settling.

They are a kind, genuine group of estheticians- so sweet! They get busy but time manage well and make sure they get to help everyone (mind you, with OUT rushing!! They really take their time.) I was in an out within an hour and a half which is pretty reasonable for how busy they get. I got an acrylic fill and 2 nail fix. Love all the color options!! I will be back, thanks ladies!

Don’t waste you time here! Go to diamond nails! Definitely worth the drive and they are really clean there. I won’t be coming to nail and hair expo again. They did a terrible job on my friends pedi and mine too. They cut my nails so bad that some of my toes hurt. They charged 55 each and refused to let me pay in card yet there is no sign that says cash only.

Went in with 3 for mani pedis. They didnt listen to the mani part at first. Got charged more then I used to before the pandemic and they did LESS! They no longer offer the wax soak with the deluxe pedicure. 2 didnt even get any polish and all BASIC manicure. Used to pay 55 they told me 45 for feet then charged me 75 how you charge 30 for super basic mani. WILL NOT GO BACK!!!! DONT WASTE TIME

I will never go anywhere else. The owners are amazing. They are down to earth. They do not try to over sell you something that you do not need. They all get along so well in the store and treat customers like family.This place is clean and comfortable. I could have spent all day in there just enjoying my day. The price is great and the end product looks amazing. I have been doing my nails for over 30 years and this is by far the BEST they have ever looked. The owner are top notch.I would definitely recommend this place. I will definitely be coming back!

I booked a last-minute appointment for a Sunday evening just before closing time. The online booking process was incredibly easy. I showed up just on time, was welcomed by a man at the front desk, and proceeded to choose my color amidst a huge selection nicely displayed along the wall. I should address the decor right away: clean, sleek atmosphere with white walls, green plants and comfy drying station. Everything is streamlined and seems to work smoothly.

First time at this shop. I had a mani-pedi and it was done very well. I dont have this service performed very often, so Im not the best judge in comparing different salons. However, the folks were pleasant and the place was relatively clean. Prices are reasonable.

This place is seriously amazing! I have now gone to Nails and Hair Expos twice and I have not left disappointed yet. I love how they do not do drill your nails. Their goal is to keep your nails healthy and strong. With shellac and gellish being the best new thing its awesome that they have tons of great colors to choose from! Each time that I have been in to get my nails done, the owner has been there and is beyond nice! All of girls that are working are all incredibly sweet, efficient, precise, and make sure you are relaxed. All in all this is my new favorite nail place in San Jose!!I recommend this location if you are ever needing to look for a trustful and 10 star results.

Unimpressed with their lack of effort for customer service, felt very rushed the whole time the lady (Tammy) was doing my nails. She didn’t seem to take any time to try to make me feel relaxed or anything at all. Did the massage in less than 1 minute didn’t take any time on it. I have not gotten a pedicure in over a year and was looking forward to the massage feeling good and relaxed during the pedicure. Didn’t get that at all. Very disappointed and will not be coming back or tipping her.

I would have given this place 5 stars BEFORE the remodel just because they always did such an excellent job. Went back recently and was pleasantly surprised to see they now have more then enough space to match their excellent service. This place gets me right every time they do great on all levels and always ask and make sure you are happy with your nails afterward. Very nice employees not rude and pushy like most nail salons. Spacious remodel makes for a perfect girls day or birthday party.

I loved this place! I normally get nervous at nail salons, but everyone that helped me here was kind and seemed to be having a fun time. I got a manicure and a pedicure and I love both! The artistry is fantastic and they have an awesome color selection. My nails even change colors in different temperatures! On top of all of that, I think the prices are more than reasonable. For the environment and the quality, Im surprised it doesnt cost more! I cant wait to come back.

I have been going here since they opened and absolutely love it! SNS is flawless and they always take time to work on my painful ingrown toenails during pedicures. The owner used to do my nails at another salon so when I found her here I was ecstatic! Since then, she is so busy, that I have used several other techs there and still continue to enjoy the high level of service I care to expect from her!

I love going to Nails and Hair Expos, they are wonderful at taking appointments and accommodating clients. I absolutely loved my manicure and pedicure today. All the staff is very friendly, gracious and fun to interact with. They also have a ton of colors. I highly recommend going there if you want gorgeous nails and a great experience.

Awesome place! I went on a Thursday with no appointment and only had to wait 10-12 min before I was taken care of. The nail tech was so meticulous and precise with the application (gel mani) that I even offered to change the color because the nail polish was a bit runny. She insisted that it wasnt necessarily. I love how they came out. Clean and peaceful environment. Will definitely go back!!

I was admiring my tennis gfs nails and decided to make a jump. They use good gel, have superior fading techniques and you get the very high quality of design and finishes available in the good nail salons. You have to make an appointment and they will call to remind you, which I appreciate.

Hidden upgrade is added to your package without up front about telling customers. The nail technician told me the price for full set gel pedicures and manicure is $45 plus tip. I ended up paying $70 (before tip) since they charged me $20 more on top of my set since they were using reflection gel. To me it just looks like normal nails job. i didnt know the difference .When the nail technician showing me the nail polish palette, they didnt not tell me that is the difference kind of gel,and I will be charged $20 more. I thought I just pick out the color and I keep telling them I want to basic. The over all store is not clean and those nail technicians keep chatting /gossiping about the customers among each other in Vietnamese (I unfortunately understand Vietnamese)

This place deserve a 0 star. The lady literally rip off my nail and skin off. I even screamed and she kept going. Until I stopped her. I bled and she care so little. This is the worst place in San Jose. If you come they will ruined your nails. To top it off they will charge you full price even though they hurt you. Never come here!

This is the rudest place with the rudest people i took my son here yesterday in hopes of getting a hair cut for him and the whole staff acted like we werent there. they told us to take a seat and wait so we did then when other people came in for nails they took them in right away to help them, completely ignoring us do none of these ladies know how to cut hair or what?? this place does say Hair in the title of their business, am i wrong? smh my son and i walked out no hair cut and completely unhappy dont come here if you want a hair cut cuz apparently they only do nails WORST EXPERIENCE EVER WILL NOT BE GOING BACK.

The ladies here ALWAYS leave my fingers bleeding from how carelessly they grind away at the nail. Last time I was here, the woman basically said no to everything I wanted and tried to push her own style on me. She wouldnt even cut them as short as I needed them to be for work. What I left the salon with was not at all what I wanted. Very dissatisfied.

I was in the area with the family and needed hair cut for my sons and I. Stopped in Nails and Hair Expos to receive hair cuts. My rating is the the overall experience. We are happy with the ladies, Be and Trang, that provided the cuts. Boys cuts at $7, men cuts $8. I personally enjoyed my cut with Trang as she is one of the best Vietnamese barbers that I got a cut from. And she is the only Vietnamese barber that I have experienced that use a straight edge razor. I am ok with paying her double the rate. Her skills and quality service demands that. I recommend bringing your young boys and grown man head for a cut here with Trang and Be. This place would receive my five stars if it would have a better ventilation system to eliminate the nail odors. Opening the main entrance door is not enough =)
