Dr Toman has done several surgeries and procedures for me to repair damage caused by childbirth complications and trauma and a very botched surgery by my old OBGYN.Dr Toman is the most caring doctor I have ever worked with. He takes his time with his patients. He answers my many questions thoroughly. He goes over all the risks and benefits of each surgery and procedure. He has maintained a conscientious atmosphere while at the same time showing compassion towards patients who may be suffering with debilitating pain. He has always been gentle and careful and cautious in treatments. There is no doctor I would trust more to have made the very complicated repairs I needed. His efforts have improved my quality of life. He has shown sensitivity to what could be a very embarrassing problem for some people. I know other patients or family members of patients who say that he has saved lives. I believe it.His staff is caring and kind. Friendly even. The office is neat and clean. Bottled water is provided in the waiting area. The exam rooms are kept clean. The only caveat is the horrendous parking structure one must use next to the building. With low ceilings that get lower, and very tight spaces, one feels like one is descending into a dungeon or a tomb. It feels like a death wish. If you are claustrophobic or have anxiety, take a friend with you for comfort, or look for street parking with paid meters and be prepared to walk. Currently parking is $4 per car, with no discount for handicapped placards, and the parking structure no long accepts doctors validations. If youre short on cash, they do allow credit. Recently, as part of the building improvements, management has added nice pictures/murals in the elevator areas for the parking structure to make patients and visitors more comfortable. Nice try, but it doesnt really help increase ones comfort....Allow extra time upon arrival because of the parking situation and because the buildings many elevators are often crowded and slow. Or get some exercise, and take the stairs!
