Went for a simple Covid test. Waited for an hour and then after being brought inside, waited for another 20 mins for a doctor to come tell the nurse the test was approved or something. The doctor never came. Please help me understand why all these hoops to jump through now? I’ve had two tests before at this urgent care and was in and out in 15 mins. Staff was slow. No one had any sense of urgency. Their new protocols are inefficient and waste time. I’m sick and have symptoms, and yet I had to wait for an hour and a half just to walk out. I’m unclear after all these years, doctors and their offices are still inefficient, waste your time by asking you to provide the same information 3 different times and then make you wait for unnecessary reasons. Absolutely ridiculous. I will never go back and will tell anyone who needs urgent care to avoid this care center.

Do not go here if you want economical urgent care there are much better places that don’t charge 526$ for a 15 minute visit and rapid step test. Your visit will likely cost $480.

Had an Optometry appointment here. Overall the facilities are clean, not sure if there is free parking for customers. My only issue is my optometry prescription was written without a Pupillary Distance (PD) measurement. This makes it very difficult to get prescription lenses online.Another issue is Sharp in general, it takes literally 20 minutes or more on the phone to get non answers. I have to wonder if Kaiser does things better than Sharp.

Wait time was not that long for urgent care. From the time we stepped in the building to the time we left was almost an hour. The physical therapy doctors are great. No wait time and they are very caring and helpful in creating personal regimen for to help recover from an injury. The communication between departments is amazing as i was able to go to see a doctor, get blood work done and xrays with no extended wait time. Really like this place. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

I’ve had some good experiences but I needed help with covid testing today and they kept me waiting for 30+ minutes. They were taking people who came after me, and it seemed like I was going to have to wait even more. I am pretty sick and potentially have covid and felt uncomfortable being around people and potentially exposing them . I have almost all the symptoms of covid and told them I was not feeling well at all. All I needed was a note for work because I have already been tested and I am waiting for my results. I understand these are hard time but I don’t believe some who is sick should have to wait so long. The girl in the parking lot was really nice and helpful but the rest of the experience was really subpar.

My first experience utilizing sharp for urgent care and it was actually pleasant. I was in and out within 2 hours and they gave very accurate updates on timing throughout my wait, and even had one person checking on everyone in the waiting room periodically (there was about 4-5 of us), updating us on wait times and offering water. The front desk staff were cheery and polite, and the nurses and doctor were all pleasant and took their time with me. Once I was in the room I didn’t wait very long to see the nurse, then doctor etc.. maybe 2 minutes between each person. Validated parking is $2 which was nice too.

The receptionist are amazing. Fast polite and helpful. The nurses are zombies that pretend to care about your needs. They definitely fooled me until I noticed none of my concerns were passed down to the physician. Physicians are late and would rather talk about themselves instead of the patient.This location is really neat. They just need nurses with better attitudes and to reinforce the Sharp vision with the doctors.Update: These ppl still suck and they write their own 5 star reviews as soon as 1 bad one is posted..

I just moved here from Boston to set up a primary care and do a physical. After being promised physicals are fully covered and no charge, I receive a bill for 105 dollars Im expected to pay out of pocket.When you call the billing department, they do nothing to help but do reviews that amount to nothing.I was secretly double billed for my visit for being a new patient while also being billed for lab-work that was told would fall under my physical. Absolutely atrocious practice.

My husband and I have had the dubious necessity to use this facility at least 4 times since it opened. Without a doubt, it is the best medical facility for this type of care. The intake staff is cheerful and efficient. Normally the wait time is less than 15 minutes-a rarity! Last week, on a Saturday morning there were many more people waiting than normal. I was registered and then told immediately that they had a staff person call in sick, they were using others to help and they were sorry but expected my wait to be 30-60 min. I didnt feel like waiting, so I said Id go home and come later. Soon after arriving home the staff called and said to return, that they were ready for me! I couldnt believe they would do this-it was SO comfortable and comforting. After being treated I asked whether, if there was a next time, could I/we wait in our car and could they call or text and the answer was of course!!The rest of the staff is also cheerful and concerned and I was very pleased with my medical care, which is the primary reason to visit. I highly recommend this facility!

These medical folks were good-good amazing. Very efficient. The service was thorough and fast. I got my palm scanned for faster service next time. Free coffee or tea available after you pay your $45 copay. A white pony-tail surfer guy with the flu was arrested by Homeland Security was and deported to Canada because he had no insurance. The system is tough butt fare.

The staff here, at Urgent Care, from the lobby receptionist to the doctor is extremely caring & efficient. They all really listened & gave excellent service. The absolute plus side is that they take care of patients in a very timely manner. I arrived at the clinic at 3p.m. & completed my visit by 3:44. This short amount of time even included picking up meds in their in-house pharmacy. I highly recommend it!

Excellent facility, staff are friendly and attentive as well as informative so you know what to expect as far as wait time etc. The medical staff listens and is thorough with their examinations before giving a diagnosis. I continue to use Sharp not just in case of emergency but for primary care as well. Plus they offer coffee, tea and water while you wait! Excellent experiences with the doctors I have dealt with, however, the admin support and doctor availability could not be any worse. I’ve gotten the run around more than once when asking question to Sharp Heathcare staff. Nobody seems to care, helpfulness is low. Also, if you have a HSA and use a HDHP be prepared to spend far more than you would outside of the Sharp network.

Unfortunately, I have decades of experience with different hospitals here in the San Diego area. But Sharp Rees-Stealy is the best, no matter which of their facilities you visit. I wonder how they manage to assemble such an excellent staff. Every staff member (including the security guard in the lobby) are friendly and helpful. He opens doors for people whenever he isnt helping someone else, and always asks if you need directions or anything else he can help you find. Everyone from the receptionists at the front desk to the doctors and nurses are top notch. And they focus on homeopathic solutions rather than just prescribing something whenever I have an issue. I feel that each staff member is genuinely concerned about my needs and they often present me with new helpful ideas to take better care of myself. I have never had a bad experience at any Sharp Rees-Stealy facility, but especially this one. I highly recommend Sharp Rees-Stealy as the best medical group in San Diego County.

While enjoying San Diego as a tourist, I had a bad fall that left me feeling humiliated and helpless. Every person I encountered at Sharp Rees-Stealy, from the reception person to the nurse to the PA, was concerned and attentive. The nurse and PA were unusually kind and compassionate and attended expertly to my numerous facial abrasions. They treated me like a fellow human being rather than a number, which is how I typically feel at urgent care centers. There is a pharmacy right downstairs that was also helpful and and convenient.

The employees are supposed to park in the parking structure attached to the building. I believe you have to buy a parking pass to park there (that is how UCSD Med works), however they choose to park in the surrounding neighborhoods. This is horrible. The SHARP Patients already do this, they may not know. But employees do know. residents cannot park in the sharp parking structure either. The residents would gladly pay a fee to have guaranteed parking during business hours. The SHARP employees will yell, honk, or flip you off if you do not move out of your parking space fast enough.When the city plans were approved, the parking structured was required for this reason, to not impede on surrounding neighborhood parking. However, SHARP EMPLOYEES CHOOSE TO PARK IN NEIGHBORHOODS

Here I am... after going to Sharp Rees-Stealy in downtown for most of my life...now I have to find a new doctor to establish my health care . All this is happening due to a miscommunication from the medical assistant (MA) to my Dr. I was treated very unfair. I am trying to establish in a different location. I wanted to share this because, that day I should of ask the MA about her actitude towards me , she didnt have no simpathy , knowing about my earpain, my highblood pressure ..wao, she show her cold ❤️. We have with respect to mark things that we see are not right and dont just walked away like I did.

I came here to get stitches removed. The facility is clean, staff efficient and pleasant. I have never been treated so well at a medical facility. Made sure I was comfortable and gave me a beverage and really took care of my wound. Would come here again for any type of medical procedure!

The Urgent Care Center is brilliant. I am so glad that I live close to this facility. I really like Sharp in general, but I have to say (in agreement with an earlier posting) that the Follow My Health is not working. Please improve this on-line communication system. It has great potential but right now it is not even close to fulfilling that potential.

I am writing about Follow My Health. It is the most inefficient site on my computer. It is so bad and it has been since they started it. The old system I believe was Sharp Care was helpful and why it was dropped is a mystery. I have been a patient for 30 years and operations like add to it going down hill. I am seriously thinking of changing HMOs. The sad thing is, I like Most of my doctors and hesitant about changing. It is a host of other things. Especially Follow My Health. It causes a rise in blood pressure and is annoying.

The people are all the same (thats a good thing) the new building. Very nice. Spacious and CLEAN. I only gave it a Good for Appeal...because, well, its an ER. LoL, its not exactly on my List of Gotta See Items

Living out of state my daughter lives in Point Loma. She comes to this facility and theyve always taken such good care of her. I never worry knowing she will get the care she needs. This mama thanks you guys so much!!

I was in and out in an hour with no appointment on a Sunday evening. They got an exam in for a foot injury, an X-ray and even delivered my prescription to the pharmacist electronically. I was totally preparing myself for several hours. Besides the speed of service theyre very friendly and have a very clean, comfortable facility.

Always a good experience. Tip : take advantage of online services. Emailing your doctor, requesting prescription refills, so much easier in the electronic age. But they still have great person to person service. Yvette is great!

I came in and the doctor that assisted me told me to take tylenol or a stronger version after I informed him that I had a history of anemia and chronic migraines + pain in the back on my head. He did not refer me to anybody or give me any more advice. He told me it was a waste of my time because other doctors would not be able to help me. Worst urgent care I have ever been to.

Very clean and modern facility most the time the weight is under 15 minutes. This urgent care has most things that hospitals do in my opinion. If you ever need an urgent care go here

Horrible experience. I had a routine physical and informed them that my insurance might be inactive since I had recently changed employers and that I could reschedule. They informed me that my insurance was active. One month later I receive a bill for $1,000 and now they are saying its not their fault. The front desk lied so that they could collect money. Highly unethical and illegal.

Greats doctors, convenient location with on-site, validated parking. Many specialties and general practice here. Pharmacy, labs and vision all on one location.

We have only had good expetiences there. However, it would be nice if they would stay open till midnight.

This place is a trash can. Their employees are pathetic egotistical sociopaths who have no empathy for any patients and like previous people have said violate HIPAA laws with no regard for privacy at all. When you walk around with a little RN badge on and pretend you have authority its not just unfortunate for the patient, its honestly sad that you think youre useful because you protect the real doctors from having to show their face and speak to a patient about a serious concern that they have. Enjoy your 14 dollars an hour.

They have ridiculous wait times to make an appointment. I called today, November 20 to make an appointment with my eye doctor. The first available date they had is April 8. Ridiculous.

I injured knee at work. I went to Robert Power for treatment as knee kept going out due to injury. After three appointments he authorized an MR.I obtained a copy prior to seeing him again. The MRI revealed a full tear of my ACL.Upon seeing Power he stated that I had a bone bruise, bakers cyst and severe sprain. Power said I would be off work six to eight weeks.I asked why he did not tell me about the torn ACL and he stated “ John Elway” played football when he tore his ACL.I immediately left wrote to the California Medical Board. I went to Dr Paul Murphy renowned orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Murphy examined the knee prior to reviewing the MRI had. He stated my ACL was torn. Dr Murphy reviewed the MRI. I had surgery a week later. The recovery was long but worth it.BEWARE DR ROBERT POWER IS A DOCTOR TRYING TO PLEASE INSURERS. HE DOES NOT CARE FOR THE WELL BEING OF PATIENTS.

Polite, helpful, the parking is insanely affordable, and, most importantly, I have seen my doctor exactly on my appointment time. Also, labs were quick and easy to schedule and to get done.

Had to wait forever! When we finally got in they waited about another hour to treat me and then ended up diagnosing me incorrectly. When they billed me they waited over a year to send me my bill!!! I would not go here again! I would rather die because If i went again they might let me die because they are not competent doctors and then bill my family a year after my death.

I dont think anyone at Sharp (including the healthcare system and the health plan) knows what HIPAA is. Ive had so many occasions where they mixed up my records with other patients and have even had their doctor offices call and yell at me because I was not cooperating in setting up an appointment on a referral for a problem after explaining to them several times they had the wrong person and that I never even experienced that problem nor ever heard of the physician who initiated the referral. Im on the phone right now with the health plan and after verifying all my info, then putting me on hold for a few minutes to review my payment history, the man came on and called me by another member name. Unbelievable. This whole system should be shut down.
