It doesnt feel great to leave a negative review, but since these stellar reviews were the reason I chose Dr. Strouse, I feel the need to break it up with my differing experience. I only met with him once, but immediately it felt impersonal and leaning towards cold. Maybe an off day, everyones allowed one of those. I have some unusual symptoms and abnormal lab work, and requested a referral to a different type of specialist than he wanted me to see, and my request was quickly dismissed. Hes very streamlined and follows his training without hesitation. When we met he apologized that there wasnt an immediate drug to prescribe for my symptoms. I suppose this is more a complaint of our conventional medical system--See, Diagnose, Prescribe a pharmaceutical--and a request for more physicians who are willing to go beyond that training.Not that its all bad, but we need physicians who are willing to take their training into their own hands and answer the call of what the patients are requesting. Functional Medicine - please offer more trained physicians willing to look into diet, lifestyle modifications, or whatever it takes to get to the root cause, and listening to their patients, in addition to prescribing drugs if mutually decided. Its more work, but productive, valuable, and necessary because the system is lacking. We need physicians who realize that while theyre the expert consult and are respected as such, they are the consult ON the fighting team of their patients, not the governing authority over them.

Dr. Timothy Strouse is an exceptional physician! No matter the problem, he researches options and makes diagnoses that are always on point. Among other things, he helped me lower my blood pressure for the first time in at least a decade. Would highly recommend him to others!!Robert Nelson, Ph.D.

Very pleased with Dr. Strouses professionalism and thoroughness. He asks lots of questions to tries to pinpoint the medical issue. He also favors preventative measures to reduce the chances of larger problems. Now that we have moved out of state, I realize how much I appreciated having him as a PCP. Also, the Follow My Health app is easy to use and his nurse, Cristina, always got back to me within a day.

Dr. Strouse has been taking care of me for many years. I wouldnt want anyone else, he is very pleasant and professional. And, he has (more than once) discovered abnormalities that could have become threatening. For that I am grateful to him. I sure hope he plans to stick around, hes a cool guy, and an excellent doctor.

Dr. Strouse is knowledgeable, personable, and has been my Primary for many years. I travel from Downtown to Rancho Bernardo when there are closer Docs that I can see. He tells me whats up and gives me my options. He is easy to talk to. Hes really good at his art.
