We brought my father home from an extended stay in the hospital and then a rehab facility under Seaport Home Health & Hospice -- initially under home health care, and then quickly transitioning to hospice care. Absolutely everybody -- from our case manager Lisa to the home health aide to the other nurses to the telephone receptionist -- were extraordinary across the board, from their professionalism to their knowledge and in particular thru their compassion. Easily the most challenging period that my family has ever gone thru, and there was never even a moment where any Seaport Home Health & Hospice added even a hint of unnecessary stress to the process. My dads final days went as smoothly as we could ever have hoped for and he is now at peace, and my mom, my brother, and I will forever be in the debt of all of our fantastic caregivers at Seaport.

My mother passed away in June while under the care of this hospice while in a care facility in San Marcos. I am her daughter. The hospice nurse that was assigned to my mother refused to give me any information about her diagnosis or prognosis. I was told they would only talk to next of kin, which I was told was not me, but her husband, my stepfather, and they would say nothing to me ever. They were cold to me and never comforted me or my mother. In a span of 3 weeks she had gone from recovering to dying and unable to speak, yet I was not allowed to know what had happened. My mother was my best friend and we were very close. I can not imagine why they would not tell me anything unless there had been something they did not want me to know about. My grandmother passed away under the care of Elizabetha Hospice years ago and they were so kind and supportive to our entire family. I am at a loss as to why this hospice treated me as if I were a stranger! My moms brother and her son were never ablemto make it to her bedside before she passed so u was alone as the only direct member of her family. Her death was completely unexpected and unexplained. I am devastated an. I dont I just know this hospice was horrible.Hi toto return home H

Post op right hip rehab for hip replacement I was referred to Jill, case manager for Seaport Home Health. I live alone & was scared & very anxious about falling. The professionalism of Steve RN, Marilyn RN, Dr. Chad PT & Dr. Janelle OT made all the difference in the world with my recovery. I am so very grateful to all! Thank you.
