I surf a lot and workout and I am 66 years old so some parts of my body are always hurting, my neck is stiff, shoulders are always a little sore. On February 8th 2020 my neck, back of my shoulders and back of myarms were hurting so bad my wife took me into ER at Sharp memorial. I wanted my neck just to be put in traction it hurts so bad, the quite a few drugs did not help and after a lot of blood work he told me why dont we just treat your heart first and then we will treat your neck and back.. my chest never hurts so I tried to fight him on that back but he calmed me down. The Widowmaker artery was blocked 100% as I was having a heart attack and he saved my life.. I am thankful he had that knowledge.

I went to Sharp ER because of excruciating pain in my left hip. Dr. Watt was the most kind and compassionate physician. He made me feel like there was hope and was able to give me an injection that did help the pain. His nurse was just as kind and compassionate. Thank you, Dr. Watt.

Review №3

I’ve been going to Sharp doctors & hospitals most of my life and never had such a terrible experience as I did with this doctor. The last 5-6 years I’ve had cysts that just swell up to golf ball size in less than 36 hours (I have an over reactive immune system) and all of them had to be lanced. These are very painful and almost debilitating. My doctor told me if it enlarged over the weekend to go to ER and get it lanced but this doctor refused to touch me. He glanced at it (never physically touched it) and said the legal implications were too great because he didn’t know what it was. This answer was a bit shocking since he is a doctor and should know. If my doctor (and previous doctors before her) knew what they were why didn’t he? He threw out a few different things it “could” be and said because he wasn’t a dermatologist or skin doctor he couldn’t be sure so he wouldn’t lance it or touch it especially because it was in an area with lots of nerves and glands. He brought up legal implications a second time. I explained that it was a cyst and not my first one but he couldn’t be bothered. I was in a lot of pain and needed care but he told me to wait until Monday and have my doctor lance it. He actually said to me “tomorrow it may be worse, but hang in there”. Take ibuprofen and stay on the antibiotics. I left the ER in tears from the pain of the cyst and the fact that I was refused the care that I needed because of his paranoia of being sued. Isn’t an ER doctor qualified to treat almost anything that walks through their doors? If not, they have no business working in the ER. I suffered for another 37 hours until I could see my doctor who took care of it right away in her office! I was disgusted with the lack of care I received from this doctor. UPDATE: the hospital charged my insurance well over $1000plus and I had to pay a $100 copay and the did nothing except take my blood pressure. Doctor refused care. I now know he was in charge of the ER - the head guy there ..well he doesn’t deserve that position if turning patients away cuz of his paranoia. I ended up having surgery a few months later to remove these cysts which were in both arm pits by the way. I was not comfortable at all but he refused to give me anything only ibuprofen!
