We have been taking our dog, Henle, to Markim for a few years now for boarding. Everyone who works here is top notch. We have also done some behavior training classes with Salem and it has made a huge difference in our dogs demeanor. They are patient, and understanding of our rescue dogs intricacies and behavior issues at times and work with us to sort through them. I feel safe and comfortable leaving our dog for boarding when we go on vacation. Highly highly recommend!

Ive been taking my dogs there for years for their Spa day. Drop off in the morning and pick up in the afternoon after theyve been bathed. They also have supervised play time. The staff has always been more than accommodating and very very personable. Highly recommend.

The facility was beautiful, well organized, the dogs were all having a blast. I loved competing at this venue it was peaceful even with all the promotion happening at the front. Absolutlry fantastic facility.

I love this place! This place offers so much for my dog. Kaleia loves to play with water and will stay in the pool for hours if she could. A good bath at the end of the day is a perk for me!

Dont know about marking but we do agility practice there with great dogs training and education and the field and agility training is great.

Unfortunately they do not board pets over 10 years old… even though they are healthy and do not take any meds…

Appreciative for the love and care they provide all the dogs they care for. Very friendly staff and decent price. I have had 2 rescue dogs go through training with Salem. My last dog Jake had leash aggression which he addressed. Jake loved his training there as well as when he was boarded there. The love the staff showed him was always evident. My current dog is now going through training there. She also enjoys going to Markie. The grooming dept. also does a super. Job. I have referred other people and they also have had good outcomes. I recommended it always to everyone.

Wee love the staff at Marking. Our dogs have been coming here since they were pups. They pull at the leash to go to the back area where they stay. Buddy play time is a good chance got them to interact with other dogs. The bath-and-brush on pickup day brings them back home fresh and happy.

We have used Markim off and on for many years. We have had two major injuries occur in two different dogs during that time. Both involved stifle injury with ruptured anterior cruciate ligaments and both dogs required surgery.Why would we go back? The first dog was a German Shepherd mix who was injured in group play when she was mounted by a larger dog, twice, “crushing her to the ground” as explained by the young group play supervisor.We decided that we should avoid the supervised group play in the future.To avoid this subsequently we always put the dogs on individual supervised play times twice daily. When we picked her up this last time the attendant took her out to the car for us. When we got out of the car she had the exact same injury? Limping on three legs.We went straight to our vet, surgery is now scheduled to repair.We are never going back.

This place is beautiful and the serene surroundings makes the location the perfect spot to feel comfortable leaving your pet while taking a vacation.

We have a little history with Markims, and recently adopted a special German Shepherd from them. They offer friendly, personalized service to you and your pets. We often drop our dog off for a Spa Day, as we call it. They groom him, which includes bathing, cleaning his ears and trimming his nails, and they offer supervised playtime out in their exercise areas as well. Im not sure who looks forward more to the playtime: our dog, or the staff!

Wonderful place and space for dogs...outstanding employees

We have been going to Markim for 14 years with two different dogs. Our experience has been overwhelmingly good. The people there really care about the animals and are genuinely dog people. When we brought our new puppy in, they even posted pics of her on Facebook knowing it was her first time being kenneled and we were nervous about how she would do. Needless to say, she now runs right back to play with her new friends when we go in. I have recommended Markim to many people over the years and will continue to do so. I typically dont write reviews but Markim has consistently been a great experience. That level of consistency is hard to find these days.

I put my cat there for 2 weeks. Very friendly staff and decent price. The cat play area is a little bit small. They provide food/can and you can also bring yours.

Would never leave my dog here again. My pet was not well cared for. She had serious problems with an ear infection that were not disclosed to us, and no significant grooming occurred although we scheduled it. When we picked her up, she pleaded to go outside and urinate, and then proceeded to urinate longer then she ever had before. Clearly they were not letting her out of her kennel, although we paid extra for that. Since change in ownership, long term boarding appears to have gone downhill. We will never use them again. Also, we left lots of extra food and medications. The staff could not find either the food or medications when we picked her up. So we doubt that she was given the food and medication we had left with clear instructions. All they wanted was our money and tried to overcharge us.

Weve been taking our dogs here for years. The staff knows us and, more importantly, our dog. We go for maximum play times and a grooming session before pick up. The dog whines with excitement on the way there, and shes exhausted when we pick her up. Couldnt ask for a better experience.

Gorgeous grounds but they called to cancel out session last minute.

The owner Salem is amazing with dog behavior. Our dog was traumatized by a gate that had broken apart in front of her. She was freaking out, couldnt settle down, wouldnt eat, didnt want to be held. It was pretty scary watching our little 7 lb. yorkiepoo have a nervous breakdown! We went to Salem and he knew exactly what to do. Hes like the dog whisperer. We were, of course, doing the exact opposite things than we should have been doing. As soon as we started comforting her like a dog wants to be comforted in situations like that, she recovered. They really know their stuff!

Markim Pet Resort has been a true blessing in our hardest time of need. We can’t thank you enough for your amazing staff and outstanding facilities!!!

We boarded our dog for 10 days and when we picked him up, he had bites all over his ears. These injuries was the result of horse flies slowly chewing up the inner side of his ears. Even with a simple once over by any of Markims handlers, these injuries would have been spotted...but it was obvious our dog was neglected in his care. This was our first expereince with Markim and our last. We also emailed them for an update 3 days into his care and never heard back...then one day before we get him they inform us oh we spotted something on his ears...really? they bites were so far along and you are now just spotting them? Very dissapointed in Markim. WE WILL NOT BE BACK.

I wouldnt think of leaving my two cats anywhere else. They are well taken care of, loved and given plenty of room to play.
