I would recommend seeing a different doctor for your health issues. Someone more professional and educated. Dr. Hemperly is very dismissive, does not listen to his patients concerns and blames them for being fat. I would suggest finding a more knowledgeable doctor that is interested in finding a problem and helping you fix it rather than blaming you for the problem and giving you medications you know have never worked for you in the past.

I went to Dr. Stephen and I had a very bad scalp infection. And it was really horrible. I was in alot of pain. He did a biopsy to make sure it was skin cancer. Thank God it came back negative. Then he referred me to another great dermatologist that recommended that I get vitamin B12 shots to get rid of the keloids and the infection..I have to get 12 injections and at first I was a bit scared but I knew I need to get it done so I could get some relief and healing. And two years later I have all my hair growing back nice and thick and healthyThank you Dr. Stephen

Stephen was great! Humble, knowledgeable, caring, and didn’t seem to be in a hurry like most doctors I see.

Was seen really REALLY fast. Given a really low cost prescription cream for my hand. I asked about skin care for my face and was recommended something off the shelf in general, they didnt try to pressure me in to buying any of their expensive creams in the front. Will be coming back.Parking is very limited so arrive ahead of time, I was late because I could not find where to park.

From the first phone call with a very caring and professional receptionist to the checkout, l dont believe l could have been treated with more respect and professionalism. My concerns were dealt with in a manner leaving me feeling much better about a less than comforting condition. Thanks to all those who cared for me. I feel everyone went the extra mile, especially the receptionist.

I felt a little more at ease at this second appointment, explaining that because of being homeless, it isnt as easy to apply the recommended after treatment, as it would otherwise would be, if I had an inside permanent place to stay. I dont mean a tent or a shelter. I mean my own apartment, or other type room somewhere. Please understand, I am not asking for sympathy. I am not homeless by choice. I am a 69 year old male. I am on a very low Social Security income, that just does not afford me to have a nighttime residence that I pay rent on. The waiting list for an apartment, (even a HUD approved) low income one, can be as long as 10-14years. I wont survive on the streets that long, at my age. The most I can afford for now, is about a 3 day stay in a motel. Then its back out to the street.

Ability to fill out all documents online before my apt was GREAT! Office staff was very prompt and attentive. Process with Dr. Hemperly was quick and efficient. Great experience.

I am very happy with everyone at the office. Everyone has been very attentive and thorough. I come once a year, every year. Luckily, I dont need more than the annual checkups.

I felt like the doctor really cared about me. He did scold me for not following previous orders but his insistence on future care made me feel Like he had this. Dude was good. Thanks much!

Dr. Hemperly was very knowledgeable and took his time to answer all of my questions. He gave suggestions and said to certainly come back if my skin condition changed. For as many patients as he has seeking his medical care, I never felt rushed or as if I was just another patient. He truly cares and it shows. He is trusted with my entire family.

The staff were really pleasant and got us into see the Dr. right away. The nurse and Dr were really knowledgeable and a pleasure to be around. Will definitely be back for a follow up.

Dr. Hemperly solved a condition that had plagued me for 15 years. I had been misdiagnosed by a dozen other doctors and specialists and he actually took the time to listen to the history and put together the pieces to figure out what it was. The man is a genius and I owe him immensely for finally bringing relief to a condition that caused me so much pain and anxiety for a long time. Clearly the best Dermatologist I have ever been a patient of and I would recommend him to the highest degree. Thank you so much Dr. Hemperly!!!

Got appointment within a day when previous doctor had a 2 week wait. I was really itchy and uncomfortable, so appreciated the availability. Staff was very friendly. Very little wait time (MOST important to me).

At one point Dr. was inconsiderate to RN by preceding her into exam room and closing the door before she entered. That didn’t affect me personally but seemed demeaning to the RN.

It was fine, no complaints. Really like the wtg room, fish tank, photos, etc. Been around sailors my whole life. Go Navy!

We had an issue with a prescription, but in doing my research it appears that it was a 50/50 issue, In other words, my phone and the office trying to contact me were not in sync. I fixed it by adding a second cell number when the first one does not work. Problem solved! Great staff in Dr. Hemperlys office.

Years ago I had a routine tissue sample come up positive for cancer and it altered my life from that point on and was very traumatic. At this last appointment the doctor took two tissue samples to be biopsied. as the days progressed, I have become more and more afraid of the results, referencing my past experience with biopsies. it has become increasingly difficult to concentrate. Ive been experiencing flashback trauma referencing back to many years ago. in hine sight, my doctor should have spent a little more time with me before he casually sliced pieces of me to be tested. Im not even sure when or how Im gonna be contacted or if Im ever gonna be contacted if the results are negative for cancer. maybe he told me I dont remember. This has been creating a lot of anxiety. he looked concern cut and sent off without really preparing me for the likely or unlikely (I have no idea how concern to be) my situation is. Cancer, even skin cancer which from whatever heard (not from this last visit) that its very treatable. my suggestion to my DO is to take a few minutes and discuss what a positive result might mean and timelines and options and generally offer up some reassurance in the event I have cancer again. the visit was efficient, too efficient. I was in a bit of shock over his lack of diagnosis and how quickly he started to cut, bandaids and I was done before what had just happened sunk in. now I wait to see if my life is gonna be uprooted. I think we are all guilty of not checking in emotionally with those we care about and for. I assume my doctor submitted samples through out the day and has become very very routine. I would like to remind him that im a person who is now suffering from post traumatic stress, waiting for that phone call. waiting to not get the phone call im not really sure. I feel like its no big deal to anyone but me. My advice to other patients who get tissue biopsied. ignore the fact your doctor just suspects you might have cancer and keep asking question. do not become passively emotional numb just yet. write things down. keep that doctor in the room, stay present because afterwards that event will play over and over in your mind while you spend how ever many days contemplating what the hell are you gonna do and if your emotionally strong enough to have your world tipped upside down. good luck to everyone. Dr. Hemperly is incredibly knowledgeable and has an excellent bedside manner. He makes you feel extremely comfortable, which is most important for me.
