I really love this medical office and Dr. Keel. Everybody is so friendly and caring and they are so efficient. I never have to wait, they are always on time, and yet are able to take time to listen to what I have to say and answer any questions. They are da bomb! I just wish we lived closer as the drive is long for us as we live in Valley Center. But I would not want to move from La Jolla if I were them. lol I wish I could afford to live there and then my drive would be sweet.

Everyone at the office are friendly professional and take care of you through whatever procedure or exam you are having done. Dr Keel always spends extra time asking about you and your concerns. He explains everything and all options. Never ever makes you feel like you are just a number. I have been going here for years concerned about my exposure to the sun and the damage it has caused. There are so many options for Botox and fillers these days and you should be careful as to who you have inject you. I have always had amazing results when I have gone to Pacific Dermatology. As I am experiencing the “aging” process, I want that little pick me up that looks natural and that is exactly what Dr. Keel delivers. He also talks with you about your choices of products and is very knowledgeable and skilled at using them. The staff is great and very friendly. Heather the practice administrator has been with the practice since the beginning and she is never to busy to talk with you about services and treatments. Everything from the scheduling and communication to the visit itself, I felt like they provided dedicated attention and answered any questions I had along the way. Ive actually had bad experiences (like negative, not just so-so) with dermatology offices in the past and Pacifics was a stark contrast. They know what theyre doing, and the customer service felt positive and comforting. Medical offices can often feel weird or uncomfortable to go to but I felt at ease and even motivated/confident to return for a follow up visit. Highly recommend.

Dr Keel is the best dermatologist around! He’s great for all skin checks and skin cancers but also has state of the art lasers and peels for cosmetic treatments as well. Always seen on time, and get a non-rushed appointment and check-up. Staff is courteous and always seem to be in good spirits. Dr. Keel is very complete with his check-ups and observations, and he never talks down or over simplifies his findings. Im the last person to write a bad review, I own two businesses myself and am very tight on time Mon-Sun and Im so put off by this place that Im sitting in the car out front of this place investing 5 min to write thisn and hopefully save someone else from dealing with this same issue.As youll see there is one other 1 star review, which is exactly the same issue I had just now.I called to make an appointment about a getting a cyst removed, the person on the phone was super nice, explained that the consultation was $150 dollars, and that money would go towards the removal/extraction of the cyst.I came in, they asked pretty normal questions , its was all fairly standard. A sweet lady got my file ready and Dr.Keel came in for maybe 4 minutes. Looked at the cyst, said, we dont have time to do this today we need to reschedule. Ok, no big deal, I ask what the cost of the procedure we are going to do will cost and he says, anywhere from 300-850$, kind of a broad range on price difference. None the less , what choice do I have im thinking, I need to have this thing removed, so I schedule the appointment, and as Im wrapping up I tell the lady, well Im glad that the $150 goes towards the procedure, if its at the low end of the estimate it wont be much.She says shes going to get the receptionist to check me out and take payment, she returns and says, Im sorry but the $150 for today is just for the consultation fee, ???? It dosent go towards the procedure unless its cosmetic and this is medical, but Im not an idiot, I clearly remember making sure and clarifying with the receptionist when I made the appointment that the $150 went towards the removal of the cyst, very clear.Heres the thing, I dont care how much it costs, but I could tell by the whole interaction that they do this often, I could feel myself being taken advantage of and thats pretty sad. At the end of the day its only bad for Dr Keel and his team. The easiest way to happy clients or patients in this case is clear communication and transparency. Youre a Dr, I understand your time is valued pretty high, but let a be honest , youre running scams on the people you can and probably give discounts to the people in your wifes walking club.Go to someone who has ethics and morals about how they do business, dont waste your time or money at Dr.Keels.

Find Any Other Dermatologist to go to!My experience with Dr. Keels Pacific Dermatology was while competent, they were GREEDY and UNETHICAL. They even used Fear Tactics to get money.During one of my previous visits, I had Dr. Keel do an initial inspection with an estimated quote to have a future procedure done. Later, I scheduled the appointment to have the procedure done. This is when the disappointment started. Dr. Keel was 30-45 minutes late to the appointment. Fine, I understand some appointments run longer. He saw me for about 5 minutes, said the procedure would take an hour and wed have to reschedule when he had more time. Again, Fine, although there would have been enough time for the scheduled procedure if he was on time. I had liked the service Dr. Keel provided in the past, so I was okay waiting.What I was not okay with is what happened next. In all fairness, I dont check my mail regularly. Its mail and not 1985. Anyway, I had a bill for that scheduled procedure that was never done. Figuring it was a billing mistake, I called the office and talked to Heather. Heather took a bad situation and made it so much worse. She explained that the bill was for that appointment which was only a consultation. I honestly dont know if this was a mistake on her part or a lie to get money coupled with a lack of caring. Either way, very disappointed. They refused to do anything about the bill, and was only concerned with getting payment that day. She even threw out the collections card if I didnt pay immediately and that she would let billing know we spoke so it could proceed that way. But hey, I guess thats just how they do business.Anyway, bill paid so theyre happy.
