I promised Id give a 5-star rating when I found one equivalent to my favorite in Japan. This place is it! Been there twice now, both times were great massages. Id suggest getting the hardest pressure you can tolerate - it helps blood circulation, which promotes healing. I highly recommend this place!

My wife and I had our first Thai massage at the Bangkok Day Spa. We had a couples massage and thoroughly enjoyed it. They were very communicative and always checking in on the pressure. They were very good and you can’t beat the price. Highly recommend!

I enjoy spas and thought Id give this one a try. It is in a very bad neighborhood and is geared more toward socializing than relaxing. There is a bar and restaurant on a floor and the patio near the tv lounge is nice. If youre a woman I recommend going with a companion.

My bf and I went to San Diego. We love hiking wandering around. We decided to walk around downtown and stopped by this massage place. The service was excellent. The therapists are so nice and friendly. We got a couple massage room. I recommend call and book ahead of time because they can be fully book for the day. We were lucky that the owner let us do the last hour before they closed. Its the best Thai massage Ive ever had. And the price is not bad at all.

It’s hard to find a good massage, it’s kind of a shot in the dark when you go someplace new, but Bangkok Day Spa did not disappoint. Staff was friendly and my masseuse was a veteran. She (Lily) adjusted and applied the right amount of pressure throughout the massage and I left feeling very refreshed. Would go back!

I was very impressed with Bangkok Day Spa when I first came in for my Thai and Swedish combo. I love the warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff were really friendly. I love the soft music which was really relaxing and my massage therapist did a great job without me having to really ask. I highly recommend Bangkok Day Spa to friends and family or anyone looking for a great quality massage.

Definitely AUTHENTIC Thai Massage. They offer a range of services such as specialty and combination massages, aromatherapy, body scrubs, etc... The people there are very warm, professional, and very helpful with my questions. When I got my massage, I requested for medium (since the scale was for soft, medium, or hard). Let me just say, the experience was perfect! Versus the typical Asian massages that Ive gotten throughout the years, the massage I got here was just what I wanted! I actually dozed off at some point out of total relaxation, and fell dead on my bed as soon as I got home. Lol. Definitely will come back to try on their other services :)

What can I say, I actually love this place. It has really nice ambient, Thai style decoration. Its make me missing my home town in THAILAND. And also prefect price with a good massage. Hard to find at first because it was on the second floor and on the side of G st. But address is 4th avenue. So a little bit lost at first.

I am new to San Diego and after all the moving my back has been killing me!!! So I started calling around trying to get an opening and finally stumbled upon Bangkok Day Spa. I couldnt have been more happy with the environment, the massage and the price. I told the lady what was going on and the issues I was having, and told her to do what she needed, so she did a Thai and Swedish combo and I feel like a million bucks!!! I will definitely be back and highly recommend this establishment

I went to take advantage of Groupon’s discounted rate the other day. However, on my appointment, I discovered that this was not your typical traditional Thai Massage rather deep tissue or Swedish massage. The masseuse just massaged my back, neck, and head—spending much time on my scalp. I was immensely disappointed with the service and the experience.

I used to do body scrub in an alternative period to refresh my body and get rid of dead skin that we could have simply from sun damage, air pollution &used to try different spa But,my experience here was really amazing ,even my friend asked me what did you? Its just like i rejuvenate my whole skin.

Im Thai and this is pretty much authentic thai massage. not fully authentic but close enough to Thai massage in Thailand. and price is cheap and affordable. i just got coupon from my mail and it just $49 per hour.

I have been here for a massage twice so far, and there were several inconsistencies both times.As soon as I arrived for my initial appointment, the lady at the front desk took me directly to the room to get undressed. There was no introduction, no paperwork, and she did not even ask me about any specific problem areas. At one point, she started using hot stone which helped to mitigate my sore muscles. I felt that she didnt really incorporate many Thai techniques; it felt much more like a Swedish massage. She did stretch me for about a minute towards the end and gently pounded on my back with her fists for 10 seconds; other than that, it wasnt much of a Thai massage. She also ended the session 10 minutes early.For my returning visit, I had a different massage therapist named Jiji who did a fantastic job. My visit with her was definitely 5 Stars. She inquired about any problem areas and made sure to focus on those areas. She incorporated many Thai massage techniques, and she spent a reasonable amount of time stretching me out in several places. Unfortunately, she didnt use hot stone or tiger balm like the previous massage therapist, but her technique was so good that I didnt really mind. She also went the full 60 minutes. Jiji was very sweet and asked me if I was ok every single time she heard a crack, which happened several times during the massage, and boy did it feel good. My only complaints would be that the room was cold and Jiji stepped out a few times to grab hot towels- those should be accessible in every room.Great deal with the yelp check in too. Ill be back to get another massage with Jiji.

Eh it was ok. The lady just walked on my body and then rubbed oil on my body. No actual massage relief. Wasnt impressed. Probably a better place for men if you know what I mean.
