I hate to admit that it’s been a realllly long time since I went to a dentist, but this office is worth every penny spent! I feel so welcomed by all of the staff, the office is clean and comforting to be in! The ladies at the front desk are so sweet, the doctors are amazing and very kind with their chair side manner ;) the dental hygienists are just as amazing and I’ve even spaced out my appointments so I can keep coming back! They have made dental visits, cleanings and drilling my teeth enjoyable! How does that happen?! I don’t know but they do!! If you’re looking for an office and great people to trust, I highly recommend you to place it with them!!

Dr. McCalley and his staff are so warm and kind with all their patients. They take the time to make patients comfortable--especially kids. AND, on top of that they do a fabulous job with all the dental work they perform. I highly recommend Dr. McCalleys services to anyone.

Great service from everyone on the office. Great work from Dr. McCalley. I’ve been in and out of the office pretty quickly for a root canal, crown, and filling over the past few months. The office is comfortable. The staff is really welcoming and nice. It’s a very challenging time to make people feel welcomed and comfortable right now, and they just do a great job. Dr. McCalley is really good at what he does.

Dr. McCalley is the consummate professional. His staff provides comprehensive dental services. One thing I like about Dr. McCalleys business is that it is self-contained, from crowns to posts, to bridges, No matter what service you require, including cleaning and imaging, all of the needs are typically done in house, and as a result, can happen very quickly and efficiently. Friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere, and superior dental skills and abilities. I have been going to Dr. McCalley for 20+ years at this point. He is simply the best.

I am in the process of receiving implants on my anteriors, have had the extractions and bone replacement grafts (which took only 1 & 1/2 hours,) totally painless , Dr McCalley is a genius at giving upper anterior anesthesia, again painless, am now waiting for the implant placements which will happen in January as we have to wait for healing, so looking forward to it. I have received a partial denture to replace my anteriors during the healing time, and none of my family or friends have noticed a change in my smile. And what I really liked is Dr McCalley does it ALL, I didn’t have to go to another specialist for the extractions etc.

Even before the pandemic they were very careful about hygiene, even more so since. I come from a family of dentists and have had great dentists everywhere weve lived, including overseas, but Dr McCalleys practice is definitely one of the best.

My son and I both see Dr. McCalley & his staff and theyre excellent. I highly recommend!

Ive lived in Clairemont for nearly 15 years and have been to several dental offices around the area before I found Dr. McCalley. I highly recommend them because they dont make you feel guilty and they dont try to up-sell you every time you come in. Dr. McCalley is very pleasant and extremely well trained in many areas of dentistry.The staff here are great! Ive referred a lot of my friends and coworkers to Dr. McCalleys office.I had an appointment for a cleaning with my hygienist, Wendy, yesterday but was running late. They were understanding and used the remaining time to get my x-rays and annual exam done. I was explaining my home oral hygiene routine to Dr. McCalley and he gave me a Gold Star! YESSSSS!!!

After suffering with severe dental anxiety/phobia for 40 years as a result of a severe injury to my mouth and face, I am ecstatic to say I have had the best dental experience of my life at this office. Correction - DENTAL SPA.My anxiety is gone thanks to Dr. Kristen Whetsells gentle, joyful bedside manner combined with her delicate, careful and skilled hands. She gave me a very thorough exam, answering all my questions with explanations I could easily understand. For the first time, I feel like I know the inside of my mouth. Dr. Whetsell came up with options and a plan to take care of my dental needs that made good sense.Thanks and gratitude also goes to their hygienist Stephanie. Stephanie gave me a deep root cleaning that was unlike the dreaded deep root cleanings I had experienced elsewhere. This was more like a DEEP ROOT GUM MASSAGE. With no injections, just a topical anesthetic.And a big thank you to Nicole in the front office for keeping everything on schedule. Time is precious and valuable to everyone. Your skills of keeping things running timely and efficiently is very important to me and all your patients.Also worthy of mention - the memory foam dental recliners almost put me to sleep. The ceiling television was great too. I chose to watch SpongeBob Square Pants, it reminded me of happy times with my girls when they were little.Thank you Dr. McCalley, Dr. Whetsell, Stephanie and Nicole for creating this wonderful space and bringing me back (voluntarily) to the dentist!
