I went to visit the ED. He used to work with me as an RSD at Atria North Escondido. The community is very nice and the staff were very friendly. He has done really well for himself and the Residents are lucky to have a nurse overseeing the entire community. He his hands on and it shows through his staff. Beautiful community!

We want to thank the staff at Atria for the incredible care, activities and sense of community. During COVID we had the difficult decision to find an assisted living community for our mom. Catt and the entire Atria team made us comfortable with the appropriate level of safety protocols, while still allowing residents to socialize. She has transitioned really well, made friends and enjoys the daily activities. She couldnt be more happy with Atria and seeing her happy really gives us comfort in our choice. Anyone that is considering Atria, you can rest assured that the Atria team is truly looking out for your family member. Thanks to all the people at Atria for making it a community that our mom loves.

ATRIA at Rancho Penasquitos is a frightening facility to place your loved ones. See injuries my husband recently sustained at ATRIA, Rancho Penasquitos, Memory Care Facility. Hes over 80 years of age! I placed him at ATRIA for a two-week respite stay from April 11 thru April 24. When I picked him up on the 24th, these are the injuries he sustained at the facility. He had also lost a ton of weight -- 15lbs in the span of two weeks. He dropped to 170lbs from 185lbs.ATRIA will not return my phone calls or emails, and they will not tell me what happened. I would like to contact JOHN A. MOORE, who is the Chairman of the Board and CEO/Founder of all the ATRIA facilities, but I am not able to find his contact information. Medics who have examined his injuries suspect that he might have been assaulted.

I am the proud wife of Quinn Hernandez, the Executive Director of this building. My husband assumed this title only a few months ago. We both come from a corrections background where safety and security is instilled in us. Having compassion was not. Since my husbands employment with Atria, I have seen a remarkable shift in my husband and it has been wonderful to watch it unfold. My husband went from wearing a uniform and at times dreading his workday, to carefully selecting a suit and looking forward to going to work every single day. This isnt just a job to him. He goes to work everyday to do all he can to comfort the lives of his residents, and sadly in some cases, to say good-bye. These residents are no longer a number, they have become his family and he instills this belief to his staff as well. The love he has for his job and compassion he has for everyone inside his building, from his staff to the residents is easy to see. Lately, the majority of our conversations revolve around his work..which I dont mind. I hear stories about the tiniest of details regarding an activity that took place, the new throw pillows he purchased because, it was time for a change, the knocked it out of the park food he tasted that day (which by the way Im severely threatened by), to the long sit downs he has with the residents as they tell him about their childhood...those stories are my favorite part and if Im being honest, I think thats his favorite part too. I recently visited my husband at work for the first time on my way to Arizona to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with my mother. Coming from someone who loves interior design, I have to say, I was quite..quite.. impressed with the building. The staff were extremely friendly to me having no knowledge that I was the bosses wife. I am so proud of my husband and all that hes accomplished in his short tenure with Atria and I can assure you things will only get better. As a son of elderly parents himself, rest assure your family will not only be well taken care of, they will also be safe and secure. At his table there will always be room for your family too.

Mom is doing so much better here! The kind, caring, professional folks at Atria Rancho Penasquitos have improved her life in so many ways. She’s eating better & putting on much-needed weight--is it the Scottish chef and/or the attentive & encouraging staff? .She’s taking part in almost every planned activity. She’s having a LOT more fun than I am! Mom has never been a “joiner” so the easy-going, cheerful staff inspired her interest. Mom’s in the memory care part of the facility so she needs more care & patience than most. Medically, professionally and spiritually she gets the best of everything with the staff at Atria RP. Even my hope for her comfort was restored by these wonderful staff members. They are real joy to work with!I deal with patient quality & safety issues at my workplace so I’m very familiar with local & national response to COVID. I’m truly impressed with Atria RP’s quick, thorough and caring quarantine set-up. Regular updates via email, phone, text and the new, ingenious Atria app were important tools that kept me calm about Mom’s health. I feel confident that Mom is in the right place.

I am a current employee at Atria Rancho Peñasquitos and I love the management team here. They listen to your concerns and treat everyone with respect. The directors really try to boost morale by making sure all employees feel appreciated. They go above and beyond in making sure you have everything you need to be successful.

My husband and I recently visited Atria Rancho as a potential new home for my mother in law. Everyone was so friendly and I was particularly impressed with the director, Quinn. He was very genuine with us and made us feel so comfortable. If you are in search of a nursing facility for a loved one, you should definitely consider Atria Rancho.

I moved my mother to the Arbors 1 year ago. She has blossomed there. She has her own little apartment, fixed up the way she likes it. There are many activities to choose from, including going off site to Sunday drives, going out for lunch, shopping and occasionally the casino. At the Arbors, there are often bands that show up for entertainment, dancing, bingo, little parties, exercise classes and a beautician so she can get her haired dyed and cut. Before she moved in, she was depressed and lonely. She has made many friends there and is very happy. The assisted living facility is just the right size to make it cozy, not too many tenants. They have had the same employees and cooks working there forever, which is a good sign. Each of the tenants that lives there loves the place and comment on how clean the facility is there. The place is very reasonably priced too ($3700/mo) and there are no extra charges later that happens at so many of the other assisted living facilities. My mother is free to move out whenever she wants, which she hasn’t wanted to. It is just nice to know if you fear your relative may not like the place, they could move out.

The decision to place a loved one in an Assisted Living or Memory Care Facility is not easy. And not all of these facilities are created equally! My family and I did an EXTENSIVE research of facilities from Chula Vista to Vista in search of the perfect fit for our Grandparents. My Grandpahad a brain tumor and passed shortly after they moved in. Atrias staff provide my Grandpa dignity and love in his time there. After he passed, my Grandmas grief and signs of memory loss were so gracefully addressed by the staff. We moved her from Assisted Living to the Memory Care floor. My Grandmas quality of life could not be better! Residence Services Coordinator, Yesenia has made sure she has everything she needs. Chris and Rebecca manage her medications. And Rebecca spoils my Grandma like she were her own family. Thank you to Chevy for always making herself available for all of our questions. The food is delicious, and my Grandma can be a picky lady! Atria Penasquitos is truly home for our Grandma. I wish I had space to add all of the names of the amazingly loving care givers (Nenita, Maria, Blanca to name a few)! They create this beautiful loving space for her and our family to visit and enjoy real quality time. We love going to Grandmas House for visits. I wish these stars were hearts because I cant express enough the LOVE we have for Atria. Atrias LOVE for my Grandma is everything!!!!

So this is a very surface level review because as far as level of care goes I can not really say. What I will comment on is from the stand point of customer service and moving people in. I was asked to help last minute by a friend to get their mother into this location. We both were told that they would have people there to help get our stuff from our truck into the room. What was there was a small push cart and a older gentleman that was more concerned with his back than moving us, blame that I dont put on him. I blame the establishment for not rolling out the red carpet for people when they move in. No one likes the idea of moving family into an assisted living location, however the process couldve been a lot more enjoyable if The Arbors would have had more help. The lack of help and a service elevator had us carrying an electric bed up stairs to the room. For the cost of this location I would expect better logistics and planning and the reason for the poor review.

I dont recommend this place as the management doesnt take good care of the seniors need, very well. Seniors feel neglected and very lonely. I know all this because, I used to teach laughter yoga to them, where I used to do muscle strengthening, stretching , breathing, mediation, aromatherapy & acupressure points all for free and seniors living there who used to attend my session used to enjoy it and few of them started sharing their challenges, that, they go through in day to day living at Artia Rancho Penasquitos & many left because of these issues.I taught them for 4 months, it was a voluntary work that I used to do on Sunday mornings 10 am, but when the director noticed that people started sharing information with me then she suddenly asked me to change my time and instead started teaching herself from next Sunday. In fact, during those 4 months when I was teaching there, I asked the director to get some stress acupressure balls for the group, she refused it saying, how much do we need, must be expensive , we can talk later, busy now? etc. but she never check back with me. I only requested for 5 balls. However, I had a group of 10 to 15 people, seniors who used to attend my session used to enjoy it. They said that, we like all the things you do with us, it helps. You make us laugh. We like you. I know, they were getting benefited. As, I observed a big difference in few of the elderlys with whom I worked very closely, since everyone wants it & for there betterment, I bought some balls and other required stuff for the elderlys but not the director, she never got it, never check backed with me.Now, my question to you all is, do you still want your loved ones to spend there most important time of their life at Atria RP, when they need your attention the most? Choice is yours.I did my part now its your decision.
